I would say that lackluster match between South Greene and Gibson county wasn’t so lackluster… if I’m not mistaken south Greene is #1 in the polls and Gibson county battled.

I don’t think one transfer will have that much of an impact to a team that wasn’t even .500 last season… but to each their own I guess.

I think Elizabethton lost most everyone… so I don’t know if that can be used as a measuring stick. Who else did they play?

I heard rumblings of a girl starting her next year at USJ that would really impact her current team…

4/49 that’s how many gold balls the Upper Cumberland which is the supreme of girls basketball has won. That dates back to 2014. That’s 10 years of basketball that they have 4 total in all classes and divisions. Maybe the talent has evened out a little. Also, serious question.. in the upper Cumberland are all schools closed enrollment oR open? Can you live out of “district” and still go there? And what are technically by area the schools considered to be in the UC? (by the way none of mY post are directed or meant to be hateful, just bantering and competitive. I for one, am glad that girls basketball is more competitive in TN everywhere, it makes for a lot more fun in postseason)

Where is the UC fan that always trashes the west. Westview McKenzie Southside Gold Balls!! And all came from little ole west TN. And nobody from the UC would have beaten any of those three teams.

The semi finals matchup of MC and GC might just be the final next year… I’m sure GC would love a rematch.

Gibson County beat westview and played them closer all times than McMinn has. Hart doesn’t foul out with 3 minutes left and they were up 5… it’d be a District 12 State Championship.

I wouldn’t count on that yet… don’t they lose alot?

IMO Gibson and McMinn play again and the Hart girl has even a decent game Gibson wins easily.

I would say there are two other teams that might have a say in that… neither York nor Westview looker head and shoulders above the other two, Gibson and McMinn like everybody has been saying they were all year. And if I remember right didn’t GC beat Westview in the district championship?

Yep!! I think AA teams are better than most other teams in AAA

Meanwhile Greenville has seniors and juniors starting with tons of experience and still lost. Dyersburg has a bright future.. this is experience for them.

Two of those “west” teams would beat everyone in AAA with the exception of Southside.

Anyone got insight into McMinn Central.. you didn’t hear much about them in season and now they’re looking like they were overlooked this whole time.
