  1. That figures....another failure for Coach Holt...imagine that.
  2. Just for the record....Tyler Smith is slated to play in this game in Louisville, Ky on April 16th, 2005. I just thought I would post this since I noticed some of you were confused about whether he would be in McD's game.
  3. Tyler is not going to McD's....he will be in Adidas Derby Festival in Louisville, Ky April 16th
  4. No doubt about it...Pat Head can coach and do it better than most men coaching today. I doubt it very seriously though that you would see her jump to the men's side. She is right where she wants to be...the top of the "Summit"
  5. Hmm...isn't this why you have message boards for people to discuss, (and vent), if they want to. I wonder what your take would be if you were not happy with the awards. I posted my comment because I felt Tyler Smith was robbed. That is the only post, until now, I made on this subject. Whether we can change it or not is not the issue...the issue here is everone's opinion. Don't "hate" on those who have an opinion different from yours.
  6. The bottom line is that Tyler Smith got screwed!!! No other way to put it, no other way to say it. He could have left Tn and went to Oak Hill...he stayed here, got screwed, and thats it!!! Shouldn't be a suprise though...the T$$AA is crooked, always has been, always will be.
  7. Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know Tyler was surrounded with talent 3 yrs ago and it took them all to win...but...all of those from the championship team are gone. I have already thanked them personally! Make no mistake about it...w/ out Tyler the past two years...Giles County would have been a sub par team. Maybe a district championship, but no way could they have won regionals the last two years w/ out Tyler. I thank him alone because he could have made a choice to go to Oak Hill but decided to stay here. So...once again...I thank him for the memories HE brought to our gymnasium. And Ms. Muffin...I am smart enough to know that it takes more than one man to play a basketball game. You take him off the team though...and GCHS would still be w/ out a title!!! Thats the bottom line.
  8. Last night was just pitiful!!! The last chance GCHS had for another ring and not only did the coach let us down...I think the fans did as well!!! The majority of Giles County fans just sit there like a knot on a log and do not cheer. Whether it be in football or basketball...its like attending a funeral. When you have a gym full of people, and over 75% of them are hometown fans...it should have been close to eardrum shattering last night. Some people are just too worried about looking pretty in the stands. Maybe the "BOOSTER CLUB" should try to encourage these old fuddy duddy people to get up off their....sorry, I'm still upset from the game! Congratulations to Tyler Smith, thanks for the championship you brought here. Thanks for the memories and I look forward to seeing you in orange and white!!! Hopefully, Coach Johnson will resurrect the football program now that basketball has seen its glory days pass on. Good luck to those who remain in the state tourney!!!
