I saw Dyersburg a couple of times this summer, but did not see Strayhorn's granddaughter. Any updates on her?

Chelby is really good. Union city's guard. Fisher from Greenfield looked good then looked average vs South Side. South Side’s core group returning will be tough. Huntingdon young group competes. Haylen Ayers is such a natural. There were a few more kids that played well at the BCAT that I didn't really know much about.

I agree, but what a player does at state doesn't matter according to TSSAA. It's a regular season award. I will say her performance will have her in their sight for sure and I would say she will possibly be a finalist. Her freshman teammate could be in the race as well. Along, with others. I won't say it's hers to lose just yet.

State tournament has nothing to do with Miss Basketball. It's a regular season award.

Shelbyville and Westview have to be at the top. Riverdale, Bradley Central, Jackson County could all be top 5

I saw Liberty Tech in Dyersburg with 3 new faces yet familiar names associated to that school. Sampson brothers, sons of former Liberty state champion point guard, Anthony Sampson and Josh Sain, Jr. son of former Liberty standout and also state champion, Josh Sain, Sr. Class 2A just got interesting in West Tennessee

Friend played quite a bit at TCA #20 struggles defensively or I think she would have played more last season

South Gibson has bulk of their scoring playing point guard. Until they make an adjustment there, they will struggle. Unless they have some transfers coming in or a really good 8th grade class

Nobody in that district outside of Dyersburg is a threat to South Side and I am not sure how accurate that is now that Crawford is gone.

What will they have talent wise? I vaguely remember one kid that can really score it and a solid point guard that tore ACL.

It's crazy that people say private school education is that much better, when their teachers, at least at some private schools do not have to have any type of licensure or certification

Private schools don't abide by laws. They pass out business cards, visit practices, throw money out there to get kids. Doesn't matter if the law passes or not.

With the new transfer guidelines, who knows what will go on. I have heard possibly about USJ but not South Side. Both those programs are top notch, so I can't wait to see if who and where

I've always wondered why someone would want someone who's technically not qualified teaching their kids. Or is it just a coaching position?

The coaching world around West Tn is getting interesting this off season as well as the high school "transfer portal". I suspect players and coaches to be on the move.
