  1. Hmmm all time head to head series 78-33 in favor of the Vols. Ouch!
  2. Things could be worse. I could be a Vandy fan.
  3. I'm not trying to be ugly or antagonize anyone. I honestly am waiting to hear from the General and Salem because I know they will tell it like it is. No disrespect intended at all.
  4. I'm waiting to hear from the General. What the heck happened???
  5. The poodle has a little bit of bragging rights over the yella sprinkle this year, but I love that y'all take it all in good fun.
  6. I miss the old Leonard's Losers segments so I started this foolishness a couple of weeks ago. Since coming to CoachT I have found the Peabody threads to be very entertaining so they are my "adopted" team since I'm in Middle TN with no kids on any teams. The back and forth with JackThaRipper along with another thread from week one with BigPurpleMachine has made me check this thing daily. It'd be worth paying for a site membership LOL I appreciate y'all.
  7. With my apologies to Leonard Postoasties, here are this week's football prognostications from the smart pill machine... Eagleville Eagles at Moore County Raiders The Rutherford Raptors fly down to whiskey country to visit the Moore Co Marauders on Homecoming. The Blue Looters don’t take too kindly to sharing their spirits and this beat down of the Eagles will definitely be sobering. Percy’s Pushover: Eagleville Lake County Falcons at Peabody Golden Tide The Trenton Breakers play host to the Reelfoot High Flyers to try to gain an early edge in region play. The Lake Fowl have plenty of speed but a wave of Golden defenders will make the contest seem like an upstream battle. Even Jack can’t rip through this team. (couldn’t help myself) Percy’s Pushover: Lake County East Robertson Indians at Trousdale County Yellow Jackets The Cross Plains Comanches are on the warpath down to Trousdale to swat the Hartsville Hornets, which has never been done before. The Purple Stingers are buzzing to get a win but the Redskins have some pretty strong pesticide ready for the occasion. This is the year that the Tribe humbles the Bumbles. Percy’s Pushover in an upset: Trousdale County Hope you enjoy this silliness again this week and please by all means don’t use this as your guide on wagers on these games as you may be broke come Monday. LOL May all your games be fun, thrilling, and injury free. 2022 Record: 4-4
  8. I totally believe you. We experienced the same. Even remembered asking a gentleman about the rain that we thought they apparently had expereinced the few days prior to which he replied, "what rain?" It ruined quite a bit of our gear as some things weren't salvageable once we returned home. Toughest one point loss I ever experienced.
  9. It's interesting you say this because I played against St. Benedict in 1997. That quagmire cost us a trip to the state championship. I guess this was their go to home field advantage. I'd never seen anything like it nor have I seen anything like it since.
  10. Thanks for posting! This is impressive! I'm just a small town country boy from Middle Tennessee, but this is really something. I played a game in the 90s against Lake Co in the quarterfinals but have never been to Trenton. It would be a haul for me but I'd like to see it one of these days.
  11. Oh Pride! lol I see what you are doing you sly dog.
  12. Many times the preseason predictions are based on the prior year. It's hard to gauge how a team will turn out early in the year. Barring any major injuries, Moore Co will have a pretty good squad moving forward and won't be able to sneak up on anyone because the news is out. Their underdog tag can be removed. I believe MC finishes 8-2 or 7-3 but that's why they play them on the field as the old saying goes. Congrats on what should be a bounce back year.
  13. Well maybe you could have wagered your milk money on me this week after all LOL Week 1: 1-4 Week 2: 3-0 Overal Record for 2022: 4-4
  14. Bonehead clock management at the end of the first half. Sheffield bailed out his coach by scoring with 3 seconds left. Sisk almost let the half end with a timeout in his pocket and tried to squander the opportunity.
  15. Chapel Hill 13 Cornersville 0 Halftime
  16. I'm glad I'm not the only one that is fed up with NFHS. It's just so unreliable. Youtube isn't a bad option either. I think Keller is a pretty good color man.
  17. Game is also on the Duck 93.9FM They do an excellent job!
  18. Thanks! Good luck to your guys. It sure was a tough pick but I was trying to go with the 3 most talked about games here on the boards. It seemed these were the "hot games". Is your QB that set out game 1 going to be healthy for this one or is it going to be by committee?
  19. With my apologies to Leonard Postoasties, here are this week's football prognostications from the smart pill machine... Lewis County vs Fayetteville City A catfight will ensue Friday night as the Hohenwald Hellcats will travel to take on the Lincoln County Bengals. Last year Lewis County failed to add to their trophy mount collection and adding a tiger seems highly unlikely this time around as well. It would take a pachyderm packed punch to knock these cats out. Percy’s Pushover: Lewis County Forrest Rockets vs Cornersville Bulldogs The Chapel Hill High Flyers travel south 22 miles to tackle the Marathon Maroons. The Marshall Muts grounded the space cadets last season but Forrest has a new formula for rocket fuel that is guaranteed to excite. This one will be tight but the General’s aviators will be playing out of this world while the 4th quarter wear-down will have the Dawgs barkin’. Percy’s Pushover: Cornersville Peabody vs Westview The Martin Knight Riders play host to the Gibson Golden Boys in what should be a great matchup of 1A and 2A powers. The Trenton Tea Sippers are more like the walkin’ wounded but the next man up mentality should give the Lancers all they want. This a tough call to make, but the High-Tide will knock the Chargers off their high horse once again. Percy’s Pushover: Westview Hope you enjoy this silliness again this week and please by all means don’t use this as your guide on wagers on these games as you may be broke come Monday. LOL May all your games be fun, thrilling, and injury free.
  20. I know nothing about Marshall County other than last year they won 7 regular season games but not sure how many starters they return. Of course that still doesn't mean much, it's a new season. I have seen Shelbyville though last week at Tullahoma. First off the offensive line will have to play much better. The QB seems to be talented but he just needs more time to operate. Sometimes I thought he gave up on the play too quickly and ran out of the pocket when the oline did do a decent job. You also have to ask yourself how much of this was Tullahoma's defense as well causing havoc. On another note, Shelbyville did have some speed. One receiver and a couple of secondary guys in particular did look mighty quick. I'll hand it to the Eagles that they were in the game against Tullahoma for all 4 quarters as the defense was opportunistic. They could have easily been ahead 14-13 at one point but I believe Tullahoma's special teams still would have won the game in that scenario in the end. Can Shelbyville win? Sure. Will they win? I believe it comes down to the key factors that are essential any time two good teams play. They must win the line of scrimmage (the majority of the time), limit turnovers, and play good defense. Marshall County did beat a Columbia team that is usually above average who had six wins on the season last year. It would be nice to hear from someone that has a perspective on the Tigers.
