The MJ Left tackle posted a thoughtful message on Twitter today. All these guys are deserving but so are a couple of the OL paving these huge holes. Wished they still did a lineman award.

One thing that needs to be stated. Yes destin wade was the best player on the field, but I must say tonight was the best I’ve seen the HC qb play the few times I’ve watched. He looked confident in his reads and throws. Thought they could’ve stuck with him a little more and kept taking what summit was giving you, after all the corner was 10 yards off of #1. Biggest thing I thought that hurt HC D was poor tackling. Got outnumbered on 2 of summits TD’s. A lot to be proud of for HC. They’ll be back in the same spot next year. Great coaching staff that will get them refocused.

Man, HC has a great tradition but the fans (some, not all) in here definitely are not in touch with reality. HC plays in the softest district in 5A and then has by far the easiest path to semi’s and it’s not even close. They’ve got a decent team and fought hard tonight, but just weren’t good enough. Nothing wrong with that just regroup and go back at it harder next year. But some HC fans need to get in touch with reality. Congrats to summit. Great team with some really talented individuals.

Wow. Refs missed a clear ineligible man downfield on 4th down fake by MJ. #15 who was at RT was covered up and released downfield... credit to MJ for taking advantage of the mistake.

Surprised by some of the scores being thrown around. Somebody will be in store for some humble pie. Who? Remains to be seen. Either way great Friday for football. Both sides be safe traveling and enjoy being able to watch the greatest sport known to man during these trying times.

This is a valid question. Their 1 win is nolensville 47-12. Nolensville was a 4a semi finalist and lost to the team that won the gold ball. With the lack of scrimmages this year and the early schedule being what it is, it’s hard to tell how good they are again. If Nolensville is similar to last year then I would say it’s a huge win. Just as you would say the Haywood win was huge for HC. The rest of the season will tell us more about both early W’s for HC and BHS.

A lot of things in that post I agree with. This year is a different year with nobody allowed to scrimmage prior to the season. Each week especially these first 4, teams are improving rapidly and learning more about themselves than in a typical year. I would just use the same criteria to judge other teams as you do your own. HC plays a style that is embedded in their every day culture. Blue collar physical football which is tough to matchup with for most teams, Brentwood will have some fits with HC. The other will be true as well. this game will go a long way in making HC a tougher team come playoff time whether it’s a win or loss. That’s the reason for playing this game On both sides. Judging by your response, I’m going to assume your in high school. Nothing wrong with that. 2 or 3 plays doesn’t account for 321. Also those 2 or 3 plays don’t account for your offense being held to 38 yards a quarter. I’m glad y’all got some yards on the last drive while beech was in prevent or you might not have broke 100. I will say that my stats came from your hometown paper. Good luck
