I pray for a clean and injury free game with the winner being as close to 100% as possible going into championship game. It also makes me wonder what kind of season the Gibson County team could of had in a COVID free year. Waverly was really the only week Gibson County was near 100% and honestly should of won. Being a small team and having to deal with 6 to 10 starters out every week made it hard to put it all together each Friday.

I doubt Milan will schedule Henry County. Wish they would but I don’t see that happening. Milan has a pretty good Junior class, but after that, they will be lucky to compete in Single A with the talent they have. Unless they can get some more recruits in.

Appreciate that Vandy , really do. That was a pretty good brawl to watch Thursday night whether anyone that wasn’t there will ever believe it.

GC is a very young team. Against Obion , it was the first time most of the kids had ever played a real high school snap. They made mistake after mistake. With no real scrimmage or jamboree being able to play, they just didn’t know what to expect. Then Covid takes away key players. A lot of teams would have and quite a few did fold up and call it. They have a long way to go to reach their full potential in next few years but they are definitely not the same team that played Obion County opening night.

Looks like this may be a preview of future region mates after the new classifications come out. I expect a good game. I’m gonna drive over and watch it.

Waverly returner muffs a punt right before halftime ,ball hits his hand then leg , Gibson County picks up fumble and runs it in for touchdown. Refs waive it off and gives Waverly ball back. Proves to be difference in game. That one hurt. Good football game in really cool setting. Fog rolled in and out all night. Gonna be a long sore ride home for the GC boys.

I hope we get to find out. You maybe right.

Martin Westview is really good at beating schools a lot smaller then they are. Hornets roll em.

I believe Covington will end up playing Alcoa for State championship. If Milan and Covington end up playing again , it will be must watch Football. Just glad we can talk about it really. Huge blessing we made it this far.

Gonna make the drive and watch this one. I expect a battle.

Gibson County had quite a few players have to be quarantined Friday morning before West Carroll game. Key players that mean a lot to team. Played West Carroll with mostly freshmen and sophomores. They played hard but the inexperience in crucial situations was evident. Unfortunately they quarantined for 14 days so the young guys are gonna have to grow up A lot in 6 days.

Much respect to Ravenwood for scheduling this game. May have lost but definitely got better last night.
