Ripley is solid with a really good RB. Dyersburg is banged up at the skill positions, and line play has been spotty on both sides of the ball all season. Ripley has a really good shot at a win here. Neither team is explosive, so line play will be critical.
Dyersburg is more than a year away. The current 8th grade group is really good, there are big gaps in the 3 classes ahead of them. The Trojans are a minimum of 2 years away from competing for region titles.
That title is probably being retired. Apparently Central Office and the JCM principal are not on the same page with head coaches' classroom responsibilities.
Hardin County traditionally hires from within. If they feel like either of the assistants are ready, that's the direction I believe they will go. Good place to coach, supportive community and admin.
Great place to coach. School board, admin, and community understand all that comes with being a rural school. Work hard, don't embarrass the school, and you can build a program. Best place I've ever coached.
Congrats and good luck to East Nashville. The Eagles were just too good up front. Dominated the LOS most of the night except for a handful of 4th downs each way. Dyersburg couldn't sustain drives or get stops when they needed.
Dyersburg was the beneficiary of a terrible roughing the kicker call during the regular season matchup. That, plus the fact that Stowe coached teams generally don't perform well in rematches gives Covington the edge in my opinion. Should be a fun game to watch, Covington 35-28.
Rick Rudesill to JCM. Tip of the hat to the JCM administration. Two splash hires to reboot one of the most storied athletic programs in West TN history.
