I personally think those 14-16 teams were a lot better. We do have some pretty good athletes but it seems like they play down to their competition at times. Hopefully they ramp it up in the playoffs. I'm wondering how Forrest kids will play Friday. They should know they can compete with Smith and if their heads are right could pull the upset.

Smith has been the favorite since pre season and they should represent the East. Marion is just happy to be in the playoffs. We're just a bunch of small slow kids that like to play football. We don't participate in the NFHS.

I'm just going by past history. Westmoreland usually plays us tough but from film Marion is a better team.

I'm going with a 28-7 or 35-14 type game.

Idk. Cascade is a running team so that was the defensive game plan. Might have got them once but not sure.

I knew the RB was out but didn't know you had a lineman out. I doubt the RB plays this week since he was on crutches. Would have been very hard to burn our DB's.

When Marion fumbled on the 3rd play inside their own 20 and held them to a FG I knew then that Cascade would have trouble scoring.

I can see some human error with keeping a clock but watching it on replay it did seem like a very slow clock.

I've watched a few of ER games and I agree. Mirror image of Marion. Some games they show up. Some they dont.

They are. Played in some tight games with good teams and finished 10-0.

10-0 is a great accomplishment. Just too inconsistent. Warriors biggest competition is whoever they play next. Smith is a huge physical team. East Robertson has some pretty good athletes. York running a single wing that you never see is tough.

Probably Smith, ER and York would be top 3. Marion 4th on this side to represent.

Worst 10-0 team now

The 1st half was a good half for Marion. 2nd half Seq gave up. With a running clock they came out and just ran the ball up the middle. Sp offensive line is their weakest point I believe. Defensive line is very good. If not for that pick 6 right before half your game with sp was a 1 score game at halftime. Beat Marion by 35??? That's funny.

It's possible you know 1 better than me but the other is no way. I promise you that. If you know the one better than me then you know why he doesn't want his son playing at sp.

Coach Starkey might tell you a different story. As for Sam his dad was from Whitwell and his mom from Jasper. They lived on Browder Switch Rd in Jasper. As you were.

But Gordy beat Forrest worse than Marion and Marion beat Sequatchie worse than South Pitt. So Gordy is probably a 3 or 4 TD favorite over the Pirates. Right????
