I agree both of them helped us when their boys were in middle school and have continued to do as they moved onto high school

I wouldn’t know Croz in a police lineup of one. He can get in here and crow all he wants and if he was there thanks for the $10, I just don’t hold grudges over fans being fans.

Well we beat Gordy twice this year definitely a year to remember. Hoping we can stay focused on Coalfield and not let this one linger in our heads. Coached almost all these kids on this team through middle school and glad to see this group of seniors finally breakthrough and beat the Tigers. I’ve always said I don’t like ‘em but I respect the Tigers.

I agree he is a beast on the edge and disciplined. The midline option that Gordy found in the late 3rd through the 4th quarter would be much more of a problem if Clay has to deal with it all game. I expect to see it early and if effective they may see it all night.

Got more monkeys to get off our backs than just Gordy. Seems like a good year to do it , nothing personal croz6110. We will still respectfully dislike you next year. That’s how it works isn’t it?

Yeah the game got pretty ugly but I mostly just remember the rain. Probably my subconscious trying to protect me.

No Whitwell knows how to get here, we played a regular season game here one year in an absolute downpour. Maybe 2016 or 2017.

I feel like Clay County should handle the Panthers but I have not seen anything on film on them. I will be interested in seeing how the Dawgs react to finally winning a meaningful game against Gordy.

That seems accurate they had a huge number of senior banners hanging when I watched play Oliver Springs.

You know it’s the mating call of the loser. “The refs cheated our kids. They was holding ref.”

Not that bad but pretty impressive 54-0 win for the Dawgs. Got that big match up in two weeks with Gordy. All these points are impressive but a 1 pointer against Gordy would mean a lot more.

They were a replacement for when Pickett County dropped their program last year. Basically they were the only ones available with that week open and needing a game. At least that was what the previous coach said.

So does anyone have any idea as to how this one shakes out? All I know about Grundy County is they haven’t won a game yet this year but have no clue about their personnel.

No there is a spot in the press box for the visitors announcers and another spot for the visitors coaches. However the view is restricted due to the sliding windows and I believe the radio crew being so big would have had trouble seeing everything. The home radio broadcasters often stand outside the door to the press box to see things better. Poor design is the problem but I doubt anyone who actually worked out of a press box was consulted prior to construction.

As far as having to use different exits that would be almost impossible as there is only really one gate for fans to go out. But in truth I couldn’t tell if anything was said as I just walked out and tried to stay out of peoples way. But I didn’t see or hear anything. Some folks on cellphones talking to people telling they were leaving and the score.

Scott #2 was ejected for fighting away from the play. The play was late in the game. At halftime there was a conversation with both AD’s about crowd heckling players and they made fencehangers move back. Game got chippy in the 2nd qtr after score got out of hand. Not a good look for either team but it happens, particularly when one school is suffering a horrible season. Penalty wise it was a pretty well called game just ridiculous that so many personal fouls had to be called.

Hey don’t go trying to inject logic into the TSSAA money maker.

Coach Lamb was a great pickup IMO, the other night at the scrimmage he was coaching and correcting the whole time.

Bates was the worst coaching decision ever made. He was a self-indulgent, self-centered jerk who ran off most of the folks who cared at all about the program and kids.

Kinda shocked by this development, I know last year was tough but they lost a lot of close games and I thought that most of the players were returning. Hope they find a good replacement, I have always appreciated Westmoreland’s toughness and their style of play.

Clay 55 Sale 16 game was pretty good until it got way too chippy in the 3rd quarter. Moving on to South Pitt next week hope we represent ourselves well.
