    Best AAA team?

Any of you guys playing at that tournament at the Champions Club in a couple weeks?

    FANS?

Every once and a while a few kids from school will stop by but mostly just for socializing. Nobody cares about tennis in school! lol
  3. There are a lot of really good players in TN: Wishing, Henry, Davis, Wilkinson, Maltsberger, Ramsay... But I mean, honestly - Bo is like in a class of his own. He's a level above the other top kids and his game is only going to improve the more he grows. Yes, his size will eventually become a strike against him but I think he can get by in the 18's (and vs. seniors during schoolplay) being kinda small. It won't be until college-level (maybe pro if he tries that route) that it'll really be exposed. I would say a good 50% of your school players aren't even that deep into tennis to know how bring out those types of flaws in an opponents game. A good bunch of them don't even meddle with serious/tournament tennis or national level events enough to gamble with Bo's game. As much as we'd all like to pretend we're as good as he is, it's time to stop fronting guys. He's awesome.
  4. Coniglio did you run at Charger today over at Chickamauga? You run for CCS dont you and I think Charger was hosted by you guys. I didnt get to run there bc I play tennis and there was a tournament this weekend but I was jw if youwent.
  5. Coniglio, I've run at Chickamauga before. Our team (Grace) runs there once a week and I've done two meets there already. For anyone who doesnt know, that hill is tough. Dude, I agree that's gotta be one of the harder courses I've run. The first one seems like you're running straight up and the second seems endless. Just think, regionals are gonna be there. That's gonna be torture.
  6. Who has a better team than CCS in Chattanooga outside of the college preps? CCS has 5 TOP tournament jr's on their team. Sure, the college prep teams would probably be on top of them but most of the other teams only have 1 or 2 good players. None have solid lineups like CCS does. Show me a roster that is better than CCS's and I'll comply w. you guys' statement about them not being so gr8.
  7. I can't say this was unexpected for me. I said they were one of the best teams behind only mccallie gps & baylor and they're by far the best in their division. Most of their players are juniors/sophomores so I say expect big things from them again in the future.
  8. I really think Grace's team is one of the most dangerous teams playing. They've got the talent on their team to do damage to anybody and considering the amount of high quality seniors they have this year along with the promising sophomore and juniors playing as well -- you can't really count them out.

Yeah, our middle school guys are pretty good. Only kid I'd put any money on though is a 6th grader (he'll be in 7th next year) named Nathan. No lie, the kid has some serious serious serious potential. And like not even being biased because he plays for us -- he is one of the best kids his age I've ever seen play. He doesnt have very much match experience but then again -- who does when they're 12? By the time he's in high school I am seriously banking on this kid being his generations equivalent of Will Reynolds or David Henry...
  10. Datrain -- I listed most of the people that I see winning regularly in the tournaments I play in. I'm not old enough to know Stanley, Ramsay or Codi. But I've heard of them and know they're good. Just never seen them play 1st hand and wouldnt say they're good based on stats alone. And I think I agree that Tanz,Grace,Chastain & Henry aren't on the same level with Claire & Bo but they're still among the best in the east.

Will -- I think I played against a few of the guys from Hixson a couple years ago but I'm not really sure how they're playing now (despite the insane comments they make about being invincible on the court). Collegedale? They don't have very much, IMO. A few of their guys look like they have potential but mostly all of them have blaring weaknesses that your solid tournament player would pick up on and exploit them with. For example - their no. 2 guy has decent strokes but is really slow and their no. 1 guy is speedy and really consistent but can't hurt you from the ground because he's got no fire. Generally, in the realm of school tennis they're a pretty good team. In comparison with the jr. players who're competing in tournaments regularly -- their guys would get schooled.
  12. Grace pawned their district and won the tournament's Boys Singles defeating COLLEGEDALE in the FINAL. Collegedale has nothing on us. We (Grace) are definitely contenders.
  13. Hooligans, what makes you think Chastain doesnt make the list with the best in the east? He was out for a long time because of an injury he had but I think he has the strokes and game to hang w. the best....

C-los -- I'm definitely trying to set the team on fire. I think that me even playing is going to be motivation for them since I've been completely retooling my game and in the process, playing like a 5 year old. But despite that -- I've still been getting out there and playing my matches just cuz I know the team needs me. So I hope they'll all remember that and try just as hard as I do. NoodlesRus -- Call DG what you'd like but I'm undefeated thus far in singles (school matches) and currently ranked in the top 50 in the state (according to the USTA) and even tho I'm not playing good if you saw me now -- its because I'm changing a lot of stuff in my game that'll take a few weeks to adjust to but by districts I think I'll be back on track and should be playing twice as good as I was before. Dude, keep the faith in us! I'm taking us to state this year...I hope...evne if I do lose in the first round Shake Zula, I dont care who you think your team is -- I highly doubt you will stand a chance against CCS. Their team was good last year but they're on fire now. They have Brittney McBryar (former no. 1 in the state in girls 14's and current top 20 in girls 16's), Holly Scholl, (former top 20 in 14's) Ashlyn Bolton (current top 20 girls 14's) and a chick from North Carolina that I hear is awesome. There guys are Will Reynolds (he's just amazing if you've never seen him. He was top 20 in 14's and I dont think he's playing consistent 16's yet but he won the last tournament I played in with him in the 16's. Eric Chastain is top 30 in the boys 16's and is just awesome. And there no. 3 guy won the state title last year in singles. They're probably the 4th best team in the city next to Baylor, GPS & McCallie.
  15. Bo Seal, Claire Bartlett, Will Reynolds, Eric Chastain, Tanz Kane, Rhyne Williams, Lauren Farlett, Brandi Cordell & Grace Robinette, and possibly David Henry & Tarah Garner.
