  1. What is Sven thinking? Walcott instead of Defoe? Where's Bent, not even a reserve? Sven is easily the worst manager England has ever had, how did he get the job anyway? Who did he sleep with? The queen??
  2. ok, the whole Madison Starting Squad and maybe 1 player from Haywood. You can't add any players from any other team, they just aren't good enough.
  3. Again, have you seen this team play? Also I think that you need to add Dyersburg to your outside chance list. They may not be as organized as other teams, but they have enough speed and strength to make a run.
  4. Jasper is a great midfielder, and he can shoot a rocket from anywhere on the field.
  5. David James can look really good one minute and look like a donkey the next. How does everyone think Ivory Coast will do in the group of death?
  6. Have you seen Madison play? I know it doesn't seem that a little west TN team can play with the big dogs, but they can. The talent just can't be much different between teams this year, everyone seem to relatively even. Don't underestimate Madison, they can play with anybody. I think that they will probably play CCS in the 1st round, so we'll see.
  7. I agree with you. Everyone also needs to realize that if we can just win our group and Brazil wins theirs, we can get to the semi-finals relatively easy. Now at the semis we will probably play Holland, and that would be a great game that we could win. I really think this is our year; everyone seems to be healthy and hopefully John O'Brien can get fit in time..if he can and everyone else stays healthy, we can make a serious run. I also think that we have an advantage on other teams because Bruce Arena might be the best International Manager in the world.
  8. I agree with you about Joe Cole. I also was wondering when he had ever played on the right side. Call me crazy, but I think this should be the line-up for England on kick-off day: Strikers: Defoe, Owen Mids: Joe Cole, Carrick, Gerrard, Beckham Defense: Luke Young, Campbell, Terry, G. Neville Goalie: Robinson subs: Lampard, Rio, Ashley Cole(if healthy), Bent, James
  9. well the fact is, England has a very easy group. Sweden may be tough, but England has their number every time they play. Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago won't be easy just because its the World Cup and everybody comes to play, but come on, they won't be England even without Rooney. I don't see any reason why Spain can't make a run, does anyone have any thoughts about them?
  10. I knew I forgot someone, I would say they are favorites because home-field advantage means a lot during the WC.
  11. Who do you think should be up top for England? I think that Jermaine Defoe should be given a shot even though he hasn't really been involved in the starting 11 for Tottenham. I think he has so much explosive speed and pace that I think he would fit right in to any line-up. Darren Bent for Charlton would also be a good choice, however his decision making is suspect sometimes. To answer your question Mjuhb, I think Joe Cole will be playing left wing, or maybe Shaun Wright-Phillips. Cole could also be put up top with Owen. I really think that Holland can make a run this year, they have the attacking tools to demolish some teams.
  12. Kick-off is in almost 6 weeks. Everyone knows the contenders: Holland, Italy, England, Argentina, and the biggest favorite of all--Brazil. The underdogs: Togo, Ghana, Trindad & Tobago, Australia, and Ukraine. The middle-grounders that could suprise: Portugal, Spain, Mexico, France, Czech Republic, Ivory Coast, and the United States. Who of these exceed expectations or disapoint millions? People also know that upsets happen and the favorites go down. Logic says that Brazil should have no problem winning their 6th WC. Experts say this could be the most talented Brazilian squad ever. Do they win it? Who could stop them? What do England do about Wayne Rooney? Do they take him? Who could possibly replace him? Many of England's starters are retiring after the cup and they want to go out on top, is this their year? Thierry Henry is probably the 2nd best player in the world, can he take France back to glory? France has a extremely talented squad on paper, do they finally put it together? Argentina vs. Holland, probably the best match-up in the group stage, who wins? Does the winner of this game set themselves up for a trip to the final? Finally, the United States. This will be our most talented squad we have ever taken. Is our squad good enough to beat the Italians, the Czechs, or even Ghana? Say we win our group and avoid Brazil, how much farther do we go? Lots of questions and many more, post any thoughts, answers, or questions on this thread.

    Bartlett?

what about Millington? They seem to be having a good year.. What was the score between Bartlett/Bolton?
  14. aight, so who do you think wins between Haywood/Sheffield?
  15. So does Haywood or Sheffield play Madison in the Region Final?
  16. quarter-finals Dyersburg vs. Ezell-Harding Notre Dame vs. Catholic FRA vs. CAK Madison vs. CCS semi-finals Dyersburg vs. Catholic CAK vs. Madison Finals Catholic vs. CAK winner Catholic My predictions are based mainly on coacht. I have not seen any teams play except Madison and Dyersburg. I know that the favorites are The Big 4(CAK, Catholic, Notre Dame, and CCS), the other two I put on here are up for grabs (FRA and Ezell-Harding), they are just based on what I have seen on coacht and their past.
  17. How is your tournament set up? Who is involved, like are you guys having a district tournament or is it just a region tournament, because of Sheffield...I know yall have explained this but please go over one more time for us.
  18. well, I see that yall played them early this season, and beat them 1-0...Wasn't that the time yall were missing players? USJ beat them 5-0, but other than that they have beaten the teams they were supposed to beat.
  19. well, I personally think that Martin and Dyersburg are better than USJ, the brazilian has quit soccer now?
  20. Hedjuk just tore his ACL, so he's out (you got your wish Stayinskool!) However, Bruce has decided to take Chris Albright in his place, who adds absolutely nothing to this squad...hopefully we won't have injuries.
  21. Do you guys think David can find a spot on the first 11 for CAK? He can play anywhere throughout the midfield and he can go up top. It should be interesting to see where he fits in.
