  1. I don't see why not heritage looks better than ooletwah and they put up 17 and only lost by a td to central, I'd say heritage is about as good as rhea county this year, possibly a little better. I don't think they blow them out of the water or anything but I think heritage could definetly beat central. I think it'll be a close game could be by 6 either way Knoxville Central 35 Heritage 29
  2. In a battle of AP top 10 teams, the 9th ranked McMinn Central Chargers defeated the 6th ranked Kingston Yellowjackets 31-28 in Englewood, TN. Kingston held McMinn Central to a 3-and-out on the opening drive of the game, and then drove 84 yards in 11 plays to take a 7-0 lead with 4:28 left in the first half. The key plays on the drive were a 23-yard completion from Rylan Guettner to Hayden Hurley on 3rd and 14 from the Kingston 12 and an 18-yard run by Kain Ladd to the McMinn Central 4. Ladd caught a 4-yard pass from Guettner on 3rd and goal for the score. McMinn Central answered with an 8 play 80-yard drive. Hunter Cook reeled off a 31-yard run, and Jake Goodin caught 2 passes for 28 yards including a 10-yard TD pass from quarter back Ayden Plemons that tied the game at 7-7 (Damian Jaimes PAT) with 54.6 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Two plays later Charger Damian Jaimes picked off a Rylan Guettner pass at the Kingston 31. Kingston appeared to have stopped the Chargers on 3rd and 10, but a personal foul penalty gave the Chargers a first down at the Kingston 15. On the next play, Ayden Plemons found Bay Harbison for a 15-yard TD. Jaimes’ kick gave McMinn Central a 14-7 lead with 11:29 remaining in the first half. The McMinn Central defense forced a Kingston 3-and-out, and the Chargers took over at their own 48 after a 33-yard Connon Littlefield punt. After Hunter Cook lost 3 yards on first down, Ray McCarty burst for a 14-yard run to give the Chargers a first down at the Kingston 37. Plemons then hit Hback Bryson Neely for a 27-yard pass to the Kinston 10. McCarty was stopped for no gain on first and goal, but he fought his way into the endzone on second down. Jaimes’s kick gave the Chargers a 21-7 lead with 7:32 left in the first half. Kingston’s drive stalled at the McMinn Central 49, and the Yellowjackets punted the ball back to Chargers. After taking the ball over at their own 15, McMinn Central drove the ball the Charger 45 sparked by a 17-yard completion from Plemons to Bay Harbison. However, the drive stalled, and the Chargers punted back to Kingston with 1:25 left in the first half holding 21-7 lead. The Yellowjackets took over at their own 14. Carcel Whitehead ripped off a 40-yard run to the Charger 46. Taeshaune Hamilton followed that up with a 14-yard run to the 32. After a 5-yard false start penalty, Kain Ladd ran for 6 and 9 yards to move ball to the Charger 22. Guettner rushed for 1 yard on first down. Then, he broke loose for an 18-yard rush to the Charger 3. Unfortunately for Kingston, Guettner mistakenly took a knee before spiking the football to stop the clock and the first half expired with McMinn Central on top 21-7. Kingston took the second half kickoff 68 yards in 6 plays. Kain Ladd kickstarted the drive with a 46-yard run to the Charger 22. Three consecutive Whitehead rushes moved the ball to the McMinn Central 8. Ladd ran for 4, and then Guettner hit Ladd for his second 4-yard TD pass of the night. Littlefield’s kick pulled Kingston within 21-14 with 9:17 left in the third quarter. McMinn Central moved the football to the Kingston 47 before the drive stalled again, and the Chargers punted the ball back to the Yellowjackets with 7 minutes remaining in the third quarter. After taking over at their own 20, Kingston quickly reeled off an 80-yard 6 play drive all on the ground to tie the game at 21. Whitehead carried 3 times on the drive for 56 yards including the 31-yard TD run. Littlefield’s successful XPA tied the game at 21 with 4:16 remaining in the 3rd quarter. McMinn Central finally mounted a second half scoring drive on their next possesion. After starting the drive at their own 20, the Chargers drove the ball to the Kinston 14. The key play was a 52-yard catch and run from Ayden Plemons to Jake Goodin. The drive stalled at the Kingston 14, but Damian Jaimes kicked a 32-yard field goal to put McMinn Central back on top at 24-21 with 2:03 left in the third quarter. The lead was short-lived. Kingston drove from their own 37 to the McMinn Central 14 in 4 plays, all on the ground. Kain Ladd turned in the big play with a 39-yard dash to the Charger 14. A Charger personal foul moved the ball to the 7, and 3 plays later Kain Ladd scored his 3rd TD of the night when he blasted into the endzone from the 2. Littlefield’s XPM put Kingston on top at 28-24 with 10:32 left in the game. The Chargers took over at their own 20. Plemons hit Jake Goodin on a 20-yard pass to the Charger 40. After Hunter Cook ran twice for a total of 4 yards, Kingston committed a costly personal foul that moved the ball to the Kingston 41. Ray McCarty reeled off 2 straight 4-yard runs, and Kingston once again committed a personal foul that gave McMinn Central the ball at the Kingston 18. On 3rd and 9 from the Kingston 17, Plemons found Jake Goodin for 11 yards to the Kingston 6, but the Chargers were unable to punch the ball in, and they turned it over on downs with under 5 minutes to go in the game. The Charger defense stiffened and forced a 3-and-out. After a short punt, McMinn Central took the ball at their own 33. Hunter Cook lined up in the slot and hauled in a perfect Ayden Plemons pass for the 33-yard score. Jaimes’ kick gave the Chargers a 31-28 lead with 2:49 left in the game. Kingston had one final chance, and once again the Charger defense rose the occasion and turned the Yellowjackets over on downs at Kington’s 23 when Guettner’s 4th down pass fell incomplete. Kingston was forced to call their final timeouts on first and second down, and McMinn Central successfully ran out the clock to move the Chargers to 6-2 on the season. Kinston fell to 7-2 on the year. McMinn Central hosts Tellico Plains next week. Kingston enjoys a bye next week before they travel to face top ranked Alcoa. 3. A win is a won no matter the score! I'm surprised we won as well, luckily we play middle tennessee teams I don't think we'd be able to beat Kingston a second time I'm pretty confident about Meigs and central about the region we match up against.
  4. I'm ngl I thought Meigs would beat polk by 3 or 4 tds. I'm honestly surprised polk didn't beat Oneida or play Pikeville a little closer than they did.
  5. So two Chargers teams kept ole barn from having a perfect pick em week
  6. Was a really good game, Kingston almost came back and won. But proud of the boys in blue getting the dub and proving me wrong again. Final was 31-28. Onto to tellico next week!
  7. I was honestly surprised to see yall move up wish yall stayed 2a as well bc all three local teams would likely be getting district championship this year (mcminn, central, and meigs)
  8. So by sweetwater standards she's only principal bc her father is the mayor lol
  9. Understandable I'm a neutral party for most part, not a Cleveland alumni or fan, but I always go for the local teams, I guess Cleveland would be my #3 team, just based of my youngest sister being a senior there. Best of luck to both teams though.
  10. They look pretty good this year that's for sure! I'm surprised Meigs doesn't consider Kingston a rivalry honestly! Both really good teams!
  11. Both teams are coming into this game off a victory last week. Both of them have a shared loss from Meigs county being their only common opponent. This game could be a toss up, but this is the best Kingston vs best central team I've seen in awhile, just think Kingston looks a bit better with more experience . I think the final score will be something like Mcminn central 22 Kingston 35 I'd love for the boys in blue to win, but they have to stop Kingston offense early on and try to win by slowing the ball out And maybe getting a defensive touchdown or two if they can good luck to both teams this coming Friday hope for it to be injury free, because both teams will need to be full powered come playoff time.
  12. I want the blue raiders to come out with the W but I see Maryville gunning for some payback from last years battle
  13. I had to download a new internet browser for me to be able to access the T I don't know what happened but I was pretty upset that I thought I lost access to this site, luckily I was able to remember my password after like a day or so. Thankful for this website and the discussion we are able to have on here, didn't wanna loss that. Glad to be back on the T after a 4 day hiatus
  14. Yeah I just figured it out like a night or Two ago browsing through profile settings.
  15. It's his signature all profiles can have them.
  16. I'd love to see Meigs upset Alcoa honestly, I think Meigs county can beat Giles County as well if they are clicking on all cylinders. Meigs is borderline 3a/2a whereas Giles is pretty close to 4a, where they used to be anyways. If it's in Decatur I think yall stand a chance of beating Giles in a close one, but would probably have to be in low scoring game, if 14-7/10-7 or 7-3
  17. Probably the worst in the state honestly I don't mean it disrespectfully either but I can't think of a team they'd be able to score more than a td on. I mean they got dismantled by Pickett County 28-6, don't think they would best Cosby, unaka,Hancock County, zion Christian,Mount juliet Christian, copper basin, lookout valley, Memphis Kingsbury, Memphis mlk prep, or Memphis Fredrick Douglass.
  18. Looks like we will get Clinton at home if we get the 1 seed
  19. Honestly surprised east Hamilton beat walker valley
