  1. FR Roark Deane Rutherford gonna shake up 132 145 152
  2. Baylor had prior coach contact with Sturgill and he isn’t sitting out but they hired his coach so I guess hush money talks Rule is sit out if you competed in tssaa in prior year and also if you had contact with a coach in past 12 months Sturgill was on teams coached by more than one Baylor coach and his coach from heritage is there now and traveling with varsity as a coach but it would be absurd to make Baylor play by the rules
  3. Father Ryan’s sophomores are paid players. Parents couldn’t get past the sniff test at MBA but the church folk aren’t as discriminating.
  4. A kid has to sit out if they participated in a tssaa sanctioned sport the year before regardless of where they live or if it is public or private or boarding. That’s how the rule reads. If a kid moved from Nashville to Chattanooga from Father Ryan to Baylor they should also have to sit out the year if they competed the year before in a tssaa sport. The coach thing would also be called out at a public school regardless of timing or letters which are both easy to manipulate.
  5. I don’t think it matters if he applied and got accepted and then his coach got hired or that the coach is working with girls and ms. Baylor knew about both and it’s baylor’s responsibility to follow rules. The same rules everyone else in the state follows.
  6. Well that’s not in the rule book. Do McAllie and Baylor have a special set of rules just for them?
  7. Actually the transfer rule for boarding school athletes says…. (a) the student is moving to a boarding school and has no athletic record the previous twelve months in any sport; You cannot switch from public to private if you participated in a TSSAA sanctioned sport the prior 12 months. You have to sit out. If you let someone do it in wrestling then football can easily use that to make a case and it snowballs.
  8. *no bona fide move applies because there is no zone doesn’t even matter if your entire family moves from Knoxville to Chattanooga or nashville to Knoxville iys the fact that you competed in TN in high school in a tssaa sanctioned sport. The way it reads even if you played football at one and then transfer and sit out football you are ineligible for basketball or baseball.
  9. The rule that makes sturgill ineligible isn’t the coach it’s that he competed in a tssaa sport the year prior. Since it is a private school there is no no arise move of his whole family that applies-there is not a zone for a private school. And no one believes the coach is going to not watch or assist in any way with any boys practices.
  10. How is Sturgill eligible to wrestle this year? Didn’t he wrestle in TSSAA last season? Baylor being the only school with dorms means they recruit from Canada Georgia New Mexico it’s not Tennessee wrestling.
