Agreed. I could realistically see FC somewhere in the mid 20’s rankings. But they’re not able to play a complete game with anyone in the top 15. Jus my opinion. But based on their resume so far i do think they deserve their current #1 ranking in the state poll. On a side note that Ezell Harding team in 2001 stole a State Championship from an unbelievable Cloudland team that year. Hate it for those Roan Mtn kids getting all the way to Cookeville only to face a loaded Private School. Placing them in their own Division in the Playoffs was one thing the TSSAA got right.

I actually like “sharks” and I’ve had a few encounters with the fair weather crowd that was doing all this speculating about how “bad” the coaching is and that the “locker room was outta control etc” because one stupid kid made a mistake taking a video and sharing it with his buddies. They got severely disciplined for sure and i know that’ll never happen again under coach Sisk. Bring on the haters everyone knows I’m here.

Those teams were ALOT WORSE. . No Comparison. No Size No Athletes No talent and young. This year’s team would have beat them like clubbing baby seals all day long. . Tullahoma will definitely be much better next year once the younger kids have a chance to grow both physically and from being thrown into the fire as underclassmen. I look for a much improved team that could win 8 or 9 games once we figure out our schedule in a new class and region. Hard work in the off season weight training and working on fundamentals and technique we will see a much improved team next year in the second season of a complete rebuild of loosing basically an entire team due to graduation. . THS will be back to the product we’ve seen most years under Olive and the existing coaches.

Well FC has soundly beaten 2 4A currently ranked teams after taking the loss. . And a 2A Lewis Co team that’s ranked and their only loss. A ranked 1A team their only loss. I do think Alcoa is ranked too low. They would dominate anyone in 1A including FC. But there’s A lot of teams in the Top 25 that FC would DEFINITELY compete with. Mckenzie appears to be the only team that has a shot at this loaded FC team IF they get outta their Quad in the playoffs. . I’d LOVE to see that rematch at McKenzie this year IF it happens. Both teams are quite capable of beating many ranked teams in higher classes this season.

Agree Alcoa is Definitely ranked too low no doubt. . But I’ve seen Nolensville they’re way Worse than their record. Trust me. They won’t win their Quad in the playoffs. And i honestly believe FC could beat them. Jus my opinion from seeing both teams multiple times this year.

Hey South Town with much respect Sonny Moore kinda sees things like me. Not totally btw. I Definitely think he has Alcoa way too low. But he has an Elizabethton team which is 4-4 about right which on the record is CRAZY. . But when I look at his list I think alot of the teams “ranked” within 10 spots apart would have a competitive game. I’d LOVE to see Greenville and Alcoa Play. .. That’d Definitely be a Hellave Matchup. I think you’d agree. But I’m interested in your opinion brother ?

Sonny does actually have some teams about right. He has Elizabethton in the top 15 with 4 close losses. Their defense is for real but their offense was a no show the first 4 games. They’ve won 3 in a row including a 1pt lose at Anderson Co and a Win at a talented 5A Rhea Co team. They lost early at Greenville by 21 but IF they get their O going they could be someone that nobody wants to face in the playoffs. . Jus an example. I like his ratings except I believe he has Alcoa ranked too low. . Otherwise i think he’s pretty close on how the statewide teams would match up with their first 11 on both sides. . I’d LOVE to see a Greenville Alcoa matchup. Considering GHS beat Dobyns Bennett and Alcoa beat Maryville i think it’d be a Hellave a Game. Too bad it won’t happen because of the 4A vs 3A. I think I’d be a pick’em matchup and I’d really like to see how they matchup against each other. . Maybe TSSAA will push Alcoa into 4A where they belong because of the internal “recruiting”. Great Knoxville area Athletes parent wants a great paying job. Go to Alcoa Corp and put in an application and start at 27-28$ an hour immediately. Jus move into the district and ur Kid is immediately eligible. Recruiting by Job opportunity. It’s been going on for decades. The TSSAA says “we can’t do anything because the kids move”. Well it certainly NEEDS to be Addressed.

I’ve seen Nolensville. They’re a Paper Tiger just waiting to get exposed. They were much better the last 2 seasons. I don’t know about Dresden but FC would Definitely beat them by 21 easily. I’m actually shocked that they’re ranked this high. Anyone want to comment?

Good insight. . That’s what makes HS Football so special. Who’d of thought the Cyclones had a chance in the playoffs last yr after that butt whooping they got in the regular season from Greenville. And i have to give the Dogs a lot of credit last year in Chattanooga their fans showed up in force and IF they punch it in right before the half they played an even first half. Against a team that i gave them Zero chance of competing with because of Westview’s size speed and overall athleticism. But those country boys came to compete and definitely played their hearts out. So yeah you just never know how teams and the kids will perform. As much as I’m surprised with Unaka actually fielding a competitive team this year i see a running clock atp prolly 2nd half. Hampton is definitely one of the 4 or 5 best teams in 2A ball this season.

I’m a Carter Co native and I’m all in on Hampton. But I’m not sure they can compete with the West. Or even the East Chattanooga area. They’re a small 2A team and made it to Chattanooga last year in a loss to Westview. But I’m not sold that they’re good enough to get that far this season. Obviously I’d love a Gold Ball for those Kids but I don’t think they have the athletes to compete with the bigger teams.

But let me add that I’m acquainted with Coach Olive and he’s a Legend no doubt. I Hope my comments don’t come off as abrasive in any way. I have nothing but respect for his accomplishments and career and I wish him well as AD and when he retires. He went out on Top and at the right time. I guess I’m a little too sensitive about this season.
