I’d imagine they’re feeling pretty well right now. I just never seen that amount of cramping in early December. Just seemed strange.

I don’t think that’s accurate. Bigger faster stronger sure but don’t think they were ever timid or avoiding contact.

Think they’ll need a few more guys to be able to beat Pearl today. Uppermans a very solid team that timed it right with the upper echelon East teams being down this year and Upperman being just good enough to get by.

A kid like that would get priority at every school in the state.

Just watched some of the Greeneville vs Anderson game on YouTube. They look to be playing at a totally different level than what the Upperman vs Macon game was played at last week.

I think Upperman has maxed out its potential but Greeneville will be too much. Look for a 28-7 type of game.

What’s the overall series numbers for Upperman vs Smith. How many players does Upperman have out this year? Quite a bit less than what I’d assumed. Think I remember reading a post from someone about how you just can’t compete at the 4A level with 40 or so players. That go for Upperman also?

Upperman was always the whipping boys and a very weak football school up until the past 10-15 or so years. You don’t go from that to a consistent region power without some fundamental change.

Hard fought game by both teams. Don’t see either one being able to make any kind of deep run in the post season. Both teams have some good players but neither has the kind of depth to really press the better teams in 4A. Think I counted maybe 40 or so players for both teams.
