I get it. It’s easier to welcome the good transfer with open arms and brush the average hometown girl to the side than it is to really work and develop her over time just to hope she’ll be a decent contributor somewhere along the way. Just let her know life’s not fair and that she’ll appreciate this lesson someday as she rides the pine.

Don’t have a dog in the fight and the whole transfer thing statewide is something that’s just going to ramp up that much more probably. But one thing I keep thinking about is what about the home grown girls that may be good but not quite good enough compared to the girls that transfer in? Are they happy with the situation? Do they matter?What do you tell them? Sorry you’re not good enough? I’m sure everything is legal and on the up and up. Maybe I’m just getting soft in my older age but just can’t help but feel for the girls that could be solid players that are missing out from playing many meaningful minutes for their hometown team because they got transferred over.

Anderson would have beat Upperman by a couple of touchdowns this year. Going back the last 10 years I’d say Anderson wins more than loses against the Bees. They also have one thing the bees are missing from the football trophy case.

You probably didn’t say that Macon couldn’t win. You chose your words wisely there but go back and read your first post from this thread. How would that not come off as arrogance reading from the other perspective? You got tore up with the guy just predicting an Upperman loss. Then adding in no chance at stopping the unstoppable offense and how Macon played the best they could play the first game and Upperman played bad and still won. Again, you may not see it but to the others reading it, it reads as straight arrogance. It’s all good though it’s a message board, barbs and jabs being thrown is what makes people come back for more. Just got to sack up and accept you’re going to get some egg on your face when you got to face the music. Don’t be so sensitive about it.

Just letting you know why it happens. Plenty have had to hear and read all year about how Upperman was unbeatable, unstoppable and how they’re so much better than all others. How bad Upperman played the first time and still came out with the win, last night proved that the first game was a fluke and wouldn’t happen again. Did you actually think that wouldn’t come back to you when they got beat? Again, if you spew arrogance all year you’re going to hear about it when you get put in your place. Think I’ll stay around in the weeds most of the time but I’ll stay around for for now. You can deal with it.

Reading arrogance from fans of teams will cause people to do that.

Great game by the Tigers tonight. Really got after Upperman and beat them at their own game. More than made up for the first time they played and showed the first game was a fluke.

Macon made mistakes the first game also and not there best but they seem to be forgotten about. Uppermans mistakes seem to be blown out of proportion also.

Should be a good one. Macon took there foot off the gas and made some mistakes in the middle of the game last time they played and let Upperman hang around. Can’t do that this time.

Moving from kindergarten to first grade. lol. They’re moving to 2A not 4A or above. It’s not really a huge bump. As far as playoffs go, if Gordonsville was in Carthage’s region this year who would be sitting at home come play off time? Gordonsville or Carthage?

Just for reference I did a little digging to see what the records were for the decent run in the 90’s. For Upperman historically it was a pretty decent run. 1994 1-9 1995 6-5 1996 11-3 1997 5-6 1998 6-5
