  1. Yes he does and wins 99% percent of all challenges. No better coach in your corner than that man, he will go to bat for any kid! As a parent and somebody who played sports as well, bad calls are part of the sport but we as parents can't sit around and blame the officials all the time. It's our job to use these as teaching moments and I believe Josh did it right by showing everyone the next day how we should respond. You get back up and go to work!! No need to sit around and complain because nobody has time for it.
  2. Everything always works itself out!! Not sure what the lineup will look like since that is up the coach's and who wins the wrestle offs. If one of boys doesn't make it so be it, nothing is given and everything is earned in this sport.
  3. You're right anyone can be replaced and yes a lot of other coach's can coach technique. I just think Josh is has a special talent of getting these kids to listen and buy in to what he is teaching. To me that is what separates him from most coach's. I don't know every coach so I will not say nobody else couldn't do it but you're taking away the success he has accomplished by basically saying anybody could do it and I disagree with you on that
  4. I agree with TreyB on this one, the one thing I have seen first hand is the man has gift of teaching and he commands the room like nobody I have ever seen. You can have 30 small kids the age of 7 or younger running around and all he has to do is whistle and the kids just listen. He connects to them in a way that most coach's can not. I def think there are some great coach's who know very high level technique but it's hard for them to teach kids that young. IMO that is what separates him from a lot of other coach's I see do it. Not saying other can't but if you have seen it first hand you know what I am talking about.
  5. Couldn't agree more with that statement. If Josh and Joey leave we would be gone as well, because they are the ones who have created the culture not Allan. Great post!!!
  6. Yeah and that is about the only factual information you have probably ever posted as well. I have pity for you brother I really do
  7. Jesus Doug are you really this petty, come on man!!!
  8. Glad I have you be part of the family brother!!!
  9. He might have donated the shirts for the kids to wear, but did he pay for your son to travel to that tournament is the point I was trying to make? I don't know maybe he did. All I know personally he has never helped me and my kids financially be able to go to any tournaments and we travel everywhere.
  10. I would love to know how you know Alan pays for all the wrestling trips these kids take every year? Where is your proof because my sons travel all over and wrestle for Cleveland and nobody has ever gave us money to go to these tournaments. It's all sacrifices we make as parents to give our kids the best opportunities and experiences. Cleveland takes kids to Fargo in the summer you think Alan pays for that? I promise you he does not, kids are out mowing lawns, washing cars etc. to make it to that tournament. Its really sad to see grown adults make outlandish statements on here and don't even have their facts straight
  11. Jojo no question...has had the most success at all the big tournaments. Mason Jakob could be on that list as well
  12. One of the best responses I have ever seen on this platform!!!
  13. Mason will be one of the best technicians on the mat this weekend out of all divisions. A lot of people don't know much about him because he traveled outside the state most of his youth career, but come Saturday there will be no doubts left. The only 113 pounder I would give Mason some trouble would be Jojo. I love Walker but 113 is Mason's to lose in my opinion. It should be a great weekend
  14. Cleveland will be the favorite again next year as they are losing Ellison and Sims, but they have kids that can start for any high school in the state. Cleveland has a strong core coming up in the next couple of years that will keep Cleveland on top. The team to really watch out for in my opinion is Dobbin Bennet. They have a great young core of wrestlers who all wrestled out of the same kids club that challenged Cleveland a few years back. They will have a tough 106 pounder coming up that has huge success on the national scene as a youth and a few other kids potentially moving back. This weekend was not a fluke at all for them, but just the beginning. It should be fun to watch over the next few years.
  15. So you have seen him weigh in, because there is not one tournament he had been under 100 pounds since he went 88 at Fargo. Cordero has a shot at AA, JoJo is an absolute hammer and nothing to be ashamed about losing to kid that is nationally ranked but he could go 113 as well. D2 I know each of those kids and their parents and all those kids train together. You would be surprised how on any given day those kids Tran, Richie, Phillips and Cordero could win just depending on who is on that day. I hope Cole gets his shot and finishes his season strong.
  16. Yes Cordero took 4th, but I believe he was released beginning of November and the Bradley Invitational is middle of December. That is plenty of time for it to heal
  17. I don't have to check as I have seen it weekly, you're more than welcome to come check for yourself if you need to see it for yourself
  18. Well I know the kid personally and he has been over 100 lbs all season long, actually weigh in at regions at 107.4.
  19. Do you know he actually weighs 97lbs and didn't have to recover at all after the weigh in?
  20. I agree I hope he gets to finish his season on a high note as he is good kid that come come from great family. I do find it hard to believe he was not allowed to recover and one kid was. I think more people would have said something especially since I know a lot of the parents in the program. I believe some were even there to even watch it.
  21. Cleveland has two wrestle offs each year and both being best two out of three. Cordero lost first two matches at the first wrestle off. Second wrestle off Cordero won the the first two matches. I was mentioning that Cordero didn't make any excuses when he lost at the first wrestle off. This is the first I have ever heard anything about not having proper time to recover after weigh in and I know both families. I was not there so I can't speculate on how long they had but from what I heard from multiple people there it was a fair wrestle off.
  22. I see alot of people talking about Cordero, and how the wrestle off was controversial? I would love to know what was so controversial about it? Cleveland does two wrestle offs during the season so all the kids know it is coming. They brought in an outside refreeze to ref the match as well. Kids found out on Friday that it would be on Monday then it got moved to Tuesday. Dyer was a pound over going into Tuesday. I get it he was a Senior and was ranked number 1 but he lost twice in both wrestle offs. So i would love to know what was so controversial? That kid didn't make any excuses( just released from having a broken collarbone 13 days before the wrestle off, and he had the flue 6 days after that) when he lost the first time, he got to work and made it happen for himself. Nothing against the Dyers, but to say something is controversial when it wasn't is ludacris to me
