IF and that is a big IF the county school is opened LC will drop enrollment big time!! 70% of the schools enrollment is technically county kids. the second BIG IF is the indoor facility only happens IF the sales tax increase passes......
I understand what you are saying.....but Zeller who was on staff already took the reins and kept the ship sailing just fine.
You have to have some johnny's and joe's to improve.....not sure they have that at LC today......watch the transfer portal!
I'm suggesting that simply because the school is called Farragut Middle or Karns Middle all of those students do not go to the high school they are named after. Knox Co has in fact drawn attendance lines in the communities for the high school. So yes some MS classmates will be rivals someday.
No way they have a better record.....they lose a lot of grit and I don't think there is a QB anywhere......unless as some have said SC "brings in" some guys
The projects were on schedule and the goal was to be done simultaneously. Then the snow hit. WBHS got 8 inches of snow while HHS got a dusting. Therefore WBHS's got behind, plus there was some drain issue.....
Coach O has nothing to do with getting the turf field at Heritage!!! This was a School Board decision finally approved after 2 earlier attempts by the County Commissioners....
The fact the County Commission has almost veto rights on how the school board uses their money is beyond me!!! Monies can literally held up due to politics and not what's best for the kids!!!
I believe this project is 4-5 years from being done. Right now the County is saying they need to build to alleviate over crowding in their middle and elementary schools on the north end of the county.
Would it split talent??? Well 70% of the City HS is County kids....IF the school is built.
That rural vs metro notion was breifly a topic....6 years ago....it is a worthy debate. Much like if you have students that pay tuition to go to your "public" school should a multiplier be used??
