  1. Hixson- 2 Soddy Daisy-0 Got really rough in the middle of the second half but calmed down.
  2. Tuesday- Soddy @ Hixson Thursday- East Ridge @ Hixson (district match)
  3. 3/31 Hixson 3 Sequatchie 1 4/2 Hixson Vs RedBank tonight at 7 (looks like thunderstorms though)
  4. A great game.......congrats to Notre Dame....Good Luck in the finals!!
  5. Does East Ridge have to meet Bledsoe on Monday before they meet CCS on Tuesday??
  6. Were you there???? And believe me you didnt have to bite you would have been better off if you didnt. How come when a game is close with Hixson it is never because Hixson played well...or handled the ball well...or passed well....or shoot well....or had great defense????? There is always an excuse for the other teams play esp if the team is a big name team like Baylor or Notre Dame or Ooltewah...bad field...big win over Cleveland letdown...really shouldnt Ooltewah have beaten Hixson at least 5 or 6 to nothing....PLEASE dont make excuses....Hixson is playing well this year and that is why the score was close with Ooltewah. Hixson had a very good game defensively. Keep up the good work Wildcats!!!

    CCS vs ND

So if that is the final score who will be first in the district??? ND???? because they beat East Ridge and CCS only tied them???
  8. I have played Tennis, soccer, cross country, ultimate frisbee, and been on the swim team (all for my high school) I believe you can see band as a sport. Getting out in the hundred degree summer and march(or walk for some bands...haha) all day...then compete based on this later... I do belive it is a sport.. Not necesarily for complete strength and fitness or speed....but for control. the addition of music makes it difficult. I am participating in DCI drum corps this year in a world class corps, and in no way is this similar to band...this is the most difficult thing I have ever done even compared to my repetoire of sports (see above).
  9. Today at Hixson at 530. game was tied 0-0 at halftime. Ooltewah scored with 16 minutes left in the game. Pretty well played game by both teams. There were some questionable calls for both sides (a few more for Hixson) and two yellow cards (one for each team), but this did not affect the outcome of the game very much. Ooltewah had a few off the posts in the first half, but had struggles finishing. Hixson had been struggling to finish the last few games, winning to McMinn Central 1-0 due to a PK in the last ten minutes. (Hixson had shot after shot in this game) Hixson had 3 players out, two being starters.

    Go Hixson Wildcat's we want you at State this year!!!!!! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  11. 2 man referee's cant conpare to 3 man....that just makes sense because you have two more eyes watching for what is going on. I think it is also more expensive to hire the 3 man system. Also there might not be enough qualified ref's available.
  12. My son has been a ref for years.....and he says you dont even think about the team that is on the field. He has been a ref so long that he said that you make the calls and dont even think about the team who has just made the foul it just comes natural. The ref's are just doing their jobs and guess what you cant play without them. You need to play by their rules. If one is calling off sides all the time be more careful not to be offf sides. If he is calling alot of easy fouls...guess what better not even come close to fouling. And you know if a ref is easy that the team is going to foul alot. Believe me I sure dont agree with them all the time....in fact I dont agree with them most of the time. But again we cant play without them and it is not an easy job......
  13. I guess I dont know why Grace is still on there for AA. They have been beaten by Hixson and ER (Hixson and ER do get ranked lower due to not making it out of their district year after year...but ND and CCS in the same district make that very hard)
  14. Sorry, NDsoccer. I was imformed incorrectly.

    6-AA

    Totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. It just seemed as if Hixson was out hustled, and out played. CCS controlled the game for the majority. For the first 15 minutes into the game (before the first goal), the teams looked even, both with several great opportunities, but after CCS scored, Hixsons team fell apart offensively and defensively (this could be to good adaption on CCS's part). Hixson's defense has been able to hold it together well in recent games, but CCS outplayed them too. Im not a mind reader (as you must be), I cannot look into players minds and tell if they are playing their fullest, or if they "just dont get it together" because of expectation to win, OR, because of unexpected team.East Ridge tied Notre Dame and CCS. (against CCS they put 9 players on defense and tied 2-2)(I dont know details against ND). So maybe ER is just better than you thought in certain areas. (or MAYBE ......ND and CCS "werent real inspired".....?????? All teams may have gotten better, but it's the rate at which you improve that makes winners and losers....
  17. Hats off to CCS tonight......they beat Hixson 6-0. They had hustle, they had great touches on the ball. And they can finish. They by far are the best team that Hixson has seen And Hixson has seen Notre Dame, Baylor, East Ridge, Walker Valley,Grace. They also didnt foul just to get the ball. Good Luck CCS on the rest of your season. You deserve to be at the top.
  18. How was CSS's schedule compared to Notre Dames? Did Notre Dame lose to easy teams? hmmmm.....
  19. Hixson's field is MUCH wider than most fields (due to other teams playing on football fields). Notre Dames field is much smaller. Im not sure about the length of Hixson's field, but it is closer to regulation size than most in chattanooga. Hixson's field was VERY rough due to the Notre game in the heavy rain. Baylor scored 2 minutes into the game (off a corner), bringing Hixson's players back to reality. 30 minutes into the game, Baylors offense had a shot from 30 yards out, with nothing but a goalie in the way (good shot!) Hixson's defense shut them down the second half, ("sloppy" touches or not) as Baylor's shot opportunities were cut down severly compared to the first half. Hixson's offense had several good scoring opportunities, also, but like Baylor "just couldnt finish." (controlling the ball 49 minutes of the game) But.............all excuses put aside, a win is a win.
  20. CSAS is in a different district than CCS ND Hixson and East Ridge. They are in the same region, though.
  21. I thought that Hixson had a great game. And I really didnt think that Baylor controlled the game. And I really dont think that Hixson has that small of a field. Good Game Wildcats!!!! Keep up the great work.
  22. Tie game at 1-1. Hixson scored about 20 minutes into the game (off a cross), and East Ridge scored 20 minutes into the secod half (off a direct kick deflection). Looked like a pretty well played game. The refs were pretty spazzy too....Only about 2 minutes went by between each "foul" or "hand-ball" Direct Kicks Hixson-about 7 East Ridge- about 10
