Interesting that when whitehouse beat westmoreland they shot 13 or so threes. One the rematch they only shot 5or six threes and lost. Heads up for the coaches... Shut down the whitehouse three point games and they will lose.... Perhaps. Running thru game stats at the tennessean seem to bear this out. On the night the best team won, no doubt and i would be the first the congratulate whitehouse.. I do think sycamore will adjust their game and come up winners on the rematch. Someone asked when syamore play macon again, its tomorrow night at sycamore i believe and hopefully the predicted storms wont interfere. I will never forget being locked in at fairview threeyears ago when the tornadoes hit just down the road from the school

The two instances you refer to were uniquely special. The games were both won, a freshman who brotheris a senior was subbed in so the could share the floor. He shot and so what? The other was a manager who plays some jv but is a senior and he was given his moment! Who knew what would happen. Both these times were special moments. I hope all coaches do this for their players when they need to.

It is s profanity so coach t put the pound signs in. As far as top scorers goes i dont guess you noticed the sycamore center playing with his hand taped? He dislocated his thumb during the friday night game at greenbrier.. AND since i think the whitehouse center scored 17 i suspect that impacted the game. Are you sure sycamores game plan wasn't to get your scorer in foul trouble? So how did westmoreland beat whiehouse? My guess is the whitehouse died by the 3 point game that night and looking at the stats online i see whitehouse only shot 6 threes so if they hadnt been so above parr against sycamore they would have lost by 10 or more since over 10 pf the winning margin was fouling in the last minute trying to get the game back by sycamore. Good luck at the next meet to both teams hopefully everyone will be at their best and all three refs will call the same game! A lot of presure on seniors on senior night so i guess we'll see how that works out.

I stand corrected on the stats, it seems white scored three points more than sycamore in every quarter other than the 4th and the scored 4 points more in the 4th. 3 point shot count was 11 for whitehouse and 5 for sycamore

You must have been at a different game than me? it didnt look easy? Sycamore didn't shoot well from the outside and I think that made all the difference. I believe whitehouse shot 11 threes in the game whereas sycamore only made two. There was some very interesting officiating also. I have never seen a player T'd up for screaming "and one" when he was fouled either for that matter! The same ref told my son if he had made the shot when he was fouled he would have called it. I might also add my son didn't appreciate the white house number 15 calling him his "#### ####" either! A real show of class! I look forward to the rematch

Was it at westmoreland? There needs to be a rule that doesnt allow a student section behind the basket!

Sycamore beat macon county tonite Final score 55 to 53

I hate to burst your bubble but most of Sycamores starters didn't play in the 4th quarter! The coach appeared to be upset about calls and whined at the ref passing him one too many times when he got ejected. He didn't get tossed 45 seconds left in the game it was more like 3 minutes left on the clock. Besides he already got one so he had to know he needed to sit down and shut up before he got a second one and ejection. I notice Greenbrier beat Cornersville HIgh back in december by 72 to 21 so perhaps it was just justice! I seem to recall an effort took place to get the sycamore freshman on the board in the last few minutes of the game and he did in fact get fouled and make a free throw. Sycamore looked good, They had all 11 players score against Greenbrier and 9 scored against Harpeth the next night. They definitely have depth.and played some great team offense in my opinion. The defense did what they needed too it seems. I too look forward to the Whitehouse game, should be a great one!!!!

They didnt look strong last night when sycamore handed them a 73 to 28 loss? Greenbrier scored 7 points in the 1st quarter, 14 in the second, 4 in the third, and 3 in the fourth. Sycamore was 21, 17, 23 and 12 by comparison.. Sycamore made 10 three point shots in the game!

Sycamore beat Greenbrier by 45 last night and Harpeth by 22 tonight.

Harpeth should get the win. I mean honestly, Cheatham had a lot of issues beating Sycamore tonight. Does anyone know the deal with Coach Carr? I recall noticing when Sycamore beat Cheatham earlier this year he did not shake the girls hands, and I attributed it to sour losing grapes but I noticed tonite when Cheatham won he didn't shake hands either?

I have seen actions of this nature at a number of schools overs the years. I don't think it was a coached thing except maybe for one time. It is always good to see a coach respond to such an incident by pulling his player and correcting his attitude etc. Kudos to the Harpeth coach over the T in the Sycamore/Harpeth games recently. He handled it well, and I think coaches actions in these situations help to de-escalate tensions on the floor. Easy to forget sometimes it is just a game!

Sure, a god who doesn't shake the hands of a team who beat his girls.. nice!!!! And before you jump in to criticise Sycamore, consider this.... Sycamore lost a starter before the season started (Katie Bliss), then they lost their post and high scorer last year (Becca Brown) in the 3rd district game against harpeth and then they lost a third starter (Sarah Bliss) tuesday last! I think the level Sycamore and coach Miller have achieved with the remaining bench is nothing short of amazing and whilst they did not win against Cheatham last Friday nighty they certainly are the only team to keep them scoreless in the third quarter and under 20 points in a game this year!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I am stunned that WarEagle would suggest this was directed at Trey. The chant has got nothing to do with Trey. There were some tacky comments and even one sign I saw held up, even some appropriate words by an individual or two, but its a big rivalry game, it was close from start to finish and the gym buzzed with excitement. I learned about Trey's mothers health issues earlier tonight and certainly hope things improve. If you want something to talk about, it's the technical called early in the game. I couldn't see what happened thanks to a cheerleader, but what I was told later was a player kicked another player.

My daughter had ACL surgery on the 22nd december last year and it was the patella type graft. Pulled it out you say? Sycamore led the whole game! And consider this, Sycamore has two starters injured on the bench (Bliss and Brown). I would say they girls rose to the challenge, whilst the refereeing had its moments it was even. I do think in the closing minutes both teams had some turnovers and opportunities to change or firm up the outcome. I see Sycamore spending some time practicing free throws this week. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as close if they had hit them all. Congrats to Sycamore and Coach Miller on a hard fought win!

what product are you using to get your clock on the tape or were you using two synced cameras??

The flash is extremely annoying BUT. The rule, and it really hasn't changed in many many years, is simply no flash in the lane. Other than that you can pretty much do as you please. With camera technology where it is these days a flash isn't really necessary if the photographer learns to use their equipment. As far as the lady and the flash at SC goes I would probably not be too paranoid. I noticed her too and some of the people at the game also complained about her. The camera she is using has a focus delay and a preflash delay so when she sees a kid shoot and mashes the release she is already a fraction after the shot, so I would be surprised if that was her intention. My guess is since she did it so many times she wasn't getting the picture she wanted. There is or was a guy who shot for the Dickson Press who puts studio strobes in the gym. His were raised and at a corner and when a kid came in to shoot all he would see was an explosion of light. behind the basket. Talk about distracting. (he was asked to remove them after complaints at a game I attended) If you have any concern like this then approach the athletic director. If he/she is less than sympathetic then the coach needs to ask the referees to have the photographer stop.

Perhaps you need to go back and look at the roster and see who can be emptied off the bench. Every fit player with the exception of #13 #53 played in the first half didn't they? I know they did. The halftime score was 56 to 8 and the final score was what? 84 to 26. Sycamore scored 28 points in the second half to Waverly's 18. Sure sounds like they to turned on the gas to me! Had they played the second like the first the score would have ended 112 to 16. DO THE MATH, SYCAMORE ONLY SCORED 10 MORE PONTS IN THE SECOND HALF THAN WAVERLY!!!! Sounds very much like the dogs were called off!

Harpeth played well enough to beat creekwood but I think Tuesdays game will be exciting. That harpeth bolivar game was a good one last year.
