  1. Actually he said he was not drinking the shots which were giving to him from the nashville players.... but we all know Ron ( LIAR! )
  2. Kappy, I am here at work speaking for Ron, and he would like to remind you he is only 26 years of age....His so called prime....
  3. Talent loses to hardwork, especially when talent does not work hard..... I heard that somewhere
  4. I work at stickhead, and yes initally the NCAA approved these grippy balls for play but has since decided no longer to use them. At least thats what i was told at work, and as long as the TSLA uses the NCAA rules no grippy balls SHOULD be used in a game. The grippy balls do however keep the ball from getting that slick feeling you feel on older lacrosse balls. Don't forget, if your interested, to get your game balls for $3.50 at Stickheadlacrosse.com
  5. Oh... I almost forgot... The goalie for Webb (Abernathy *hope got this right too*)... I thought was really impressive. He had some great saves against us and kept his team in the game. He deserves alot of credit. I do not think he is an upperclass man, and next year he is definately going to be the top returning goalie. I think he has some great abilities, just a little improvment in his clearing and he will have it all. It was a fun game friday!
  6. Guys since everyone is debating about this...at CBHS to my knowledge hitting the post is NOT a save. If the stat guy got in wrong for me on the MUS game, I am sorry but guys really do any of these stats matter. Maybe it is me, but goalies stats should not been the main concern. Its making big saves when the team needs it, and stopping a high percentage of the ones that you need to make (shots outside 12 yards or so). Also, his direction on the field, running the defense and talking them through situations when they need direction. I am sorry if the stat guy for our team messed everything up, but i promise it is not done on purpose. I've worked hard to improve, and don't look at my numbers to decide how i am doing. As players, coachs, and anyone with some sort of lacrosse back ground observinig. Stats do not and should not mean much in my own opinion. Side note... Kappy summer league???
  7. I wish you were right, but MBA flat out kicked our tails up and down the field. I didnt have a good game, and I wish i could have shown the MBA players what i can really do but i guess you can not always been on. We were slow getting back on defense, and MBA took advantage in transition. MBA had some good looking poles. I would like to say something about the sportsmanship of one of the MBA players...#2 for MBA is a real stand up guy and a great sport... He really is a great representive of the school and the slogan Gentleman - Scholar - Athlete (hope i didnt mess that up). Not to mention he had a great game. I dont want to make excuses for our team cause MBA deserved to win, but we (CBHS) are pretty tired. 4 games in 7 days and two of those games were really tough (McCallie and MUS). I look forward to perhaps seeing the big red in the playoffs, and giving them a much better game. Final MBA 13 CBHS 4 Ouch!!! that sounds bad
  8. Grant McCabe #4 definately has the best moves in the state...he has great ball control and really knows how to take it to his man
  9. Here is a final for ya 9 to 6 MUS... MUS is leading 7 to 2 in the 3rd. A while later it is 7 to 6. Late in 4th MUS goes up 8 to 6, roughly 3 minutes to go. Later w/ a minute or so to go. Dan Gibson drives from the right side in an unsetteled situation, pushes GLE comes up has the ball checked out in the process of shooting. It hits my chest, another one of our poles picks the ball up runs from the crease out of the box. THEN, we will say Ref A calls a WHITE (MUS) T.O. Ref B runs over to tell Ref A that White had not had possession for a while. Then Ref A under the pressure of the home bench and crowd (someone called homefield adavantage earlier) says they called it before they dropped it. NOW will someone inform me how long the ref can wait to blow the whistle... I mean we almost had the ball at the half line when he decided to blow his whistle, and our pole had run w/ it from the crease? Anyone know? (by the way mus guys should be out raged by the officating too. it was awful by well we will say Ref A. Scales chime in here, because he was out of the game in the 3rd quarter if i am right.) on the way to the bench i receive a conduct foul...which i disagree w/ but thats a totally different story. MUS gets the ball and scores while i am serving. Congrats to them wrapping up 1st place... they played well. I was impressed w/ our guys. We came back after being down. Good game jimbo, and to the MUS offense yall came out firing at the start of the game.
  10. Who are the best D-Men out there?
  11. We have been pretty successful facing off all year, but McCallie's face off guy dominatied us (CBHS). I think he is #27, and I think he was their best dodger. (I might be off on the number) He is the best I have seen all year. I think we only won one draw against him.
  12. Guess yall can figure out who is posting this but yes we(CBHS) lost to mccallie in double overtime 7 to 6. Both teams played really well, it was back in forth... McCallie started out w/ 3 straight followed by our 4 goal run. Braddford (9) was impressive ( he rolled his ankle but came back into the game and showed some good toughness) #27 for mccallie was good too. I thought we (CBHS) played with in ourselves and did a good job. Our poles played excellent games (hope they get some credit at the end of the season). Great game, double ot, cant ask much more from both teams.
