Unfortunately for you guys, you are a little better than average A school talent wise capable of handing Coalfield and Oneida their lunch in a bag everyother year or so. But you have to play in a loaded AA bracket/class every year and that is the reason for the underestimation. A school a lot of the A people are underestimating this year is Jellico. I hear they have the old coaching staff back this year that made them tuff in the back in the 90's in the same AA class Wartburg is fighting an uphill battle in now only the old head is chief assistant and the old chief assistant is the head. The more things change the more thay stay the same................

Wweve all been reading various comments here and there on the Jellico site. Its sort of like hit and run tactics wwith nobody committing to say anything about the rest of Region 1-1A. Whats the matter, did the coaches put a gag order on all of you???????? Give all of us in coacht land some civil onfo on practices, who's doing what, or scrimmage results. IIf the rumor is true then I suspect that the head coach will promote Shouse to DC and shift other returning assistants before giving the new guy the dregs of the coaching duties. What is the reaction of Cougar fans or players to this addition to the staff? Huh pleased, shocked, puzzled, etc. etc. Why didn't he try to get one of the ex-Oneida coaches instead?

Ssince this is a Jellico topic, maybe we can get back to Jellico for a while. Who is running the ball for Jellico and who is looking good at QB, OL, DL, etc????????? Wwhere does Jellico hope to finish in their region?

Rumor has it that they hired the ol' Jacksboro Eagle coach that blew up a good program at Jellico aand just bowed out. Maybee he will be o.k. help but don't look for him to fill Wamplers shoes.

Cloudland not only has a bad reputation on the internet but the pot holes in the field, no dressin room for visitors but they also have all this slab sided stuff all over the school building that makes it look like a first class single wide trailor park. Yeah they got some people that can hit year in and year out, but the arrogant folks on the web wil cost them some real thumpings when the program continueas to go down without Lunsford running it.

Now dude if your worried bout their new OC bringing a RB or two from the east, then worry, I hear there is quite a stir on the hill about him leaving for Indian country and who might go with him. thumb

I asked this on another topic, but I heard the rumor that the RB Johnson had been living with Wampler and might go to Oneida with him by filing a legal guardianship. That would probably make the Indians a bonafide Class 1A title contender, wouldn't you think?

Just got through reading the rules and the DEAD PERIOD is just that, no contact what-so-ever. The OPEN FACILITIES rule is poorly placed just below, and has NO BEARING on the DEAD PERIOD. If the Alcoa pictures and story were produced during the DEAD PERIOD in the school weight room with coaches present, then they are in violation. If the story and pictures were made before and just now were printed with poor timing, then no harm - no foul. thumb
