  1. Andrew Smith v Dan Waddell in last years 145 final. Unbelievable comeback by Smith, when an even more spectacular final takedown.
  2. Yes, Matt was his older brother. Finished 2nd in state his senior year.
  3. Jeff Francis at 103 for MBA could definately conted this year. Don't let the red hair fool you, this kid is mean.
  4. MBA should be real strong in the bigs this year: 171: Nicholas Jacques, placed as a sophomore, senior now, plenty of experience 189: William Herbert, could have contended for state had he not gotten hurt last year, junior 215: Michael Swett, strongest person in DII, improved greatly after his first year last year, senior 275: Allen Riley, Lost to the 1st and 3rd place finishers last year in state, 2 close matches, senior.
  5. The last 2 regular season games have been tremendous. Hope this one is the same, except with correct officiating. How is BAs QB?
  6. I think it all comes down to turnovers on MBA's side. If we can limit the t.o.s, I think we win. Howe needs to be on mork this game. MBA can't squash scoring opprotunities. It should be a great game.
  7. On the mat? Really? How many times did yall beat us last year? OK. Back to football, FRHS has NO shot. You will see after the 1st quarter, it won't be close.
  8. Preston Bailey at MBA is a tackle, and HUGE. I think like 6-4, 300. He has big potential
  9. I agree 119. We will see if this team responds like the team 3 years ago which started slow. If not, there's always wrestling season.
  10. MBA's strengths are tailbacks and overall team size. Physically, the team is as tough as any in the state. Speed is a problem, but with more games I'm sure MBA will adjust properly. Knowing the program well, I am certain that with each week, the team is working harder and harder. I just hope the coaches and players do not start to panic and begin to press. I really do not know much about CPA. What do they have? I am glad to see this matchup as well. Any game with a team in your area is great. Good Luck to both teams and Go Big Red.
  11. Last year Trinity had great talent at wideout. What is the situation there? It looks like this season that speed and athleticism will be hard for the Big Red to defend, although I do expect them to improve as the season goes on.
  12. MBA has not lost at home in over 2 years. MUS was a tough place. BA is hard. I remember going to Lincoln County a few years ago and admiring the stadium and thinking of the comfort level LCHS must have when they play there.

    DII AAA?

I've heard the Super 7 is growing. Who and when is joining the division. I would love to see more teams. Also, any predictions for this year. I'm goin with the big red in a redemption victory over MUS.
  14. Against Hunters Lane, MBA had the bases loaded with one out. Guy hits a pop fly ball to the short who loses it in the sun. Ball bounces right in front of him and turns a double play. Infield fly rule never called. I thought that was the whole point of the rule. Umpires exuse was the SS did not give "original effort." If you have ever heard of that, I will stand corrected.
