I really think that this is a no brainer. I mean lets see who could possibly be the best sophomore in middle Tennessee? Could it be, TYLER SMITH? I think that it would be. Listen we have seen all the posts about the greatest player and the greatest sophomore, and his name is on top of both of those lists. So why dont we jsut go ahead and make it a fact that he is the best sophomore in middle Tennessee and the whole state. Once again it is hands down Tyler Smith!!!!!!!

I think that everyone needs to open their eyes and realize that Jana Cross could possibly be the the best freshman in the mid-state if not the whole state. I mean in her very first game in high school, she came off the bench and scored nearly 30 points. She may not start but when she comes off that bench she brings her A game every time and that gives the Lady Mustangs of Loretto a spark. The only reason everyone doesnt know about her yet is b/c the team that she plays for isnt having the best year. But I will make all of you a promise that in the upcoming years JANA CROSS could be the greatest women's basketball player to come out of Tenessee in a all time.

Well, Adam Birdyshaw went up for a rebound in the Fairview game I think and when he came down he tore his ACL. It was one of those freak incidents.

I wasnt trying to start nothing with any Lewis fans, all I was saying was that everyone just not Lewis over looks Loretto. I mean yeah maybe our record isnt the greatest but you have to look at the things that we had to go through so far this year. I mean we lost probably our best player to a knee injury in football then we lost our starting point guard to a knee injury at the start of this season. So if you add in our two best players back into the mix, I strongly believe that it would be Loretto also contending for 2nd place and that is my opinion. So please dont take me wrong I wasnt trying to start nothing with Lewis Co, I just thought that people need to quit overlooking Loretto because if we had those two players still heathly then ya'll wouldnt wont to.

I feel like Lewis Co. should not over look their game Tuesday night against Loretto. I mean Lewis plays Marshall on the 30th and Loretto the 28th, I always thought that you worried about the team that you played next. I could see why you would over-look a team that you beat the first time that you played but the last time I checked Loretto beat ya'll at Lewis. All I have to say is that you need to start to worry about the next team on your schedule. I will leave you all with a saying ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I have now been made a believer on how good Jana is and I didn't mean to take nothing away from Jessica Green. She has stepped up well also and with both of them playing at the level they are, it makes it a little easier to say that I cheer for the Lady Mustangs of Loretto.

In all honesty I think that everyone needs to make a trip down the home of the Loretto Mustangs. This field is nice. We have done a lot of work on it over the years and now it looks awasome. I also think that Giles Co. has a really nice field.

Who do you all think is a stand-out freshman in middle Tennessee? I think that Jana Cross from Loretto is probably one of the only bright spots in a slow season for the Lady Mustangs. Well I made the trip to the Giles Co. game tonight and I was wondering where was Shay Shannon at tonight?? The second question is what were the stats for Tyler Smith tonight? I know that he basically took control of the game the whole night. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Well thank you for wishing us luck come Tuesday. I am really looking forward to comming to Giles to watch may third game of theirs. Giles has a really great team that plays ball the way it is supposed to be played. I have always enjoyed watching a team that runs the break and finishing with a great dunk or not being afraid to pull and shot the three. I hope we will have a great game come Tuesday night at Giles.

I have been to two Giles County games so far this season and I have to say that I have not seen no such acts of show boating. What I have saw is wonderful players playing the game of basketball to the level that they are able to play at. If you people think that Tyler Smith dunking on someone on a fast break or dunking over someone on an alley-oop is showing off. Well it is showing off, that is of his talents and that is all. Maybe you people just dont realize how good this team is or maybe you all just do not want to admit that they are that good. But trust me that I have not seen no such acts of showing off other than showing off their god given talents to play the game of basketball the way it was meant to be played. Oh, by the way before all of you start saying that I am just saying this because I am from Giles, you need to realize I am from the town of Loretto!!!!!!

How good of a nigt did Tyler Smith have against Fairview???? I know this guy will be on the greatest players to ever come through the state of Tennessee, that is if he keeps his head on straight. That is one of the hardest things for kids to do these years. So if there is someone can tell me how good of a night he had, I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!

What happened the other night when Giles Co. played Columbia? I mean I have went to see them play against Lawrence Co. and also Spring Hill and I thought that they were a great team. I also thought that they had great team speed and quickness. Was Columbia that good or was Giles Co. off? What also was wrong with Tyler Smith, I heard he only had six points? I went to watch Giles Co. play Lawrence Co. last night, the only reason I made the ride over there was to watch the sophomore Tyler Smith. Oh my is he the stuff. He is probably one of the best players that I have seen play in a really long time. He dunked 5 or 6 times and he also hit a couple of three-pointers. I do believe this kid could do it all. If you haven't got the chance to see him play yet, you should really go and watch him!!!!!!

In Class 1A I feel that there will be another Cloudland Vs. Ezell match-up. I also feel that there will be another outcome to this one other than the one last year. I will go out onto a limb and say that Cloudland will win by 2 touchdowns. Ok, now onto Class 2A, I have a feeling that it will be Sweetwater Vs. Lewis Co. Sweetwater will totally dominate Lewis Co. to abtain the gold ball. In 3A, Marshall Co. will meet up with Fulton with Fulton taking home the big win. In 4A, I see another Maryville Vs. Hillsboro. I dont see much change with the outcome in this game, Maryville is probably the best team in the state without a doubt. Inside the 5A, I see a Riverdale and Franklin match-up with Riverdale taking the gold ball home just because they know how to win in big games. Just please remember that these are just predictions!

Well, the time has came for one of the biggest games of the year for the Loretto Mustangs. Last year against Waverly it was a hard fought game that ended in a 7-0 Loretto win. This year's game should not disappoint anyone. If Loretto wins then they basically have sencond place wrapped up but if they lose who knows what is going to happen in the Region. What are ya'lls thoughts on this game and predictions on the outcome?

Loretto plays Living Word this coming week and I was wondering if ya'll could tell me what they have as in skill players. I have searched the internet all dya and can't find nothing out. All the info you all can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

The final score was Loretto 20 Harpeth 13. Both teams went into halftime with big goose eggs on the board, but comming out of halftime Harpeth scored frist to make it a 7-0 lead. But Loretto wouldnt be out done, they came back and scored but the PAT failed and it made it a 7-6 lead Harpeth. Harpeth drove down field once again and put it in the endzone but thier PAT failed to make it a 13-6 lead. Early in the 4th Loretto scored and made it a tied game. Harpeth then turned the ball over on an interception. Loretto then punched it in and made it a 20-13 lead. This game was probably one of the best games I have ever been apart of or have seen in a long time. Both teams palyed with a lot of heart and a never die attitude. I'll go on record here tonight and say that Harpeth is the by far the best 1-5 team in the state. Great game Loretto and Harpeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling with everything that I have heard about the talented group of athletes that Sweetwater will end the ruglar season with a perfect record.

Well, the Loretto Mustangs should have a good strong team. They return 10 or so seniors. They also return basically their whole starting pitching staff from a year ago. That staff is lead by Lamm and yes he is fine and play this year in baseball. The other starters include Beckman and Johnson, thats just to mention a few. Even with the strong pitching staff, they should start a all senior line-up. I feel like this will be the year of the Mustangs. I hope they play to the ability that they are able to perform at. But I think that we cant sit here at this moment and time and decide who is going to win the district this early. Why dont we let the playing do the talking and just wait and see!!!!!!

**********ATTENTION********** Attention to all the Loretto haters out there, I would just like to tell all of you that we arent the dirtiest team in the state. I know how bad you would like to put that label on us but Giles Co. is the dirtiest team in the mid-state if the whole state. One of their players actually tried to end our wide receiver's career. Thats not to mention all the late hits and stuff that wasnt called all night. So just to let you all know there is a new team you can call the dirtiest team in the state that being Giles Co.
