  3. And Greeneville's: 121-88-26 Interested on how Page fares in the post-season considering their lack of competition in the regular season.
  4. Greeneville in previous years played in the Katie Hunter Division with the stronger D1 AAA and D2 teams. Why were they moved to the weaker Barry Redmond division this year? Was it because they moved down to AA? They certainly are good enough to hang with the big dogs as seen in their game vs Farragut.

(we've played Greenville before). Winning the match 2-0 or 3-0 may give people " Canes... I'm assuming you didn't travel across the state to see the game so your comment is without weight. Ask anyone from Farragut who was at the game - I'm sure they would agree they were lucky to get out of town with a win against Greeneville. It was a great game involving 2 great teams. I've seen pretty much every Greeneville game - boys and girls - for the last 10 years. Eiskamp never packs the box - never.

Right on!! Do you know who scored?
  9. A few considerations from Region 1 AAA. Lauren McInturff, GK, Dobyns-Bennett Allowed only 13 goals all season and unscored on in conference play. Held Bearden to 1 goal. Very underrated and unrecognized. Aly Carrino, Forward, Greeneville, Senior Overcame torn ACL as a Sophomore and is usually the smallest player on the field. 2008 stats: 25 goals/10assists Offensive MVP at Katie Hunter IMAC Offensive Player of the Year Tori Head, Forward, Dobyns-Bennett, Senior All-Tournament Team Katie Hunter All-Tounament Team Lady Tribe Invitational Won All-State last year and deserves a look again this year. Missed a good part of the season due to illness and still scored 25 goals including the game winner against Bearden. Emily Johnson, Defender, Morristown West, Senior Led the defense only allowing 15 goals all season and to team record of 11-3-4 2008 IMAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Well I did predict an upset in Region 1. Just picked the wrong team. Do I get a bonus point? Quarter finals: DB, Brentwood, Oak Ridge, Siegel Semi: Brentwood, Oak Ridge Final: Oak Ridge Goals: 24
  11. Tori Head and Kara Brockwell scored for DB.
  12. DB - Bearden tied 1-1 with 11 minutes to go DB 2 Bearden 1 Final

Yea - it was getting old losing to Bearden in sectionals every year. Hopefully, for Region 1, DB has better luck. DB's Coach Calvert has real potential to see "red" also. Coach Eiskamp has been well behaved this year. His new assistant, Coach Graham, is his designated bulldog. I think 6 of Greeneville's starters and first 2 off the bench are Sophmores They will make an impact in AA for awhile.

No offense taken. What can I say? I went with my team...I can still pick up some points on Sat when they upset Oak Ridge (in my dreams).

Last place! This is what happens when you think with your heart instead of your head...and why I don't go to Vegas!

I'll pick some upsets in Region 1 and 2. Morristown West beats DB tonight (MW has only 2 loses - both to GV - and tied DB in the only game they played). DB had some health issues recently with their All-State forward - not sure if she's back in shape). Greeneville wins the region. Farragut beats OR (again) and loses to Bearden in the Region. Greeneville beats Farragut at home in Sectionals (Farragut barely got by GV 1-0 the first game on their narrow field - may be different story on Greenville's big home field). Greeneville makes it through the back door to States (possible, not probable, but makes it interesting) Semi Winners: Morristown West, Greeneville, Bearden, Farragut, Cleveland, Soddy D, Riverdale, siegel, Beech, Hendersonville, Brentwood, Franklin, Bartlett, Arrlington, Collierville, Houston Region Winners: Greeneville, Bearden, Soddy, Riverdale, Brentwood, Collierville, Arlington, Beech Sectional Winners: Greeneville, Bearden, Soddy, Riverdale, Franklin, Brentwood, Collierville, Houston
  17. They are moving down to AA and sounds like they are trying to move to District 1.
  18. Dobyns-Bennett (12-2-2) and Greeneville (11-4-1) could be sleepers for an upset. Greeneville has lost 3 games to very good ECS, Briarcrest and DB teams by 1 goal each late in the games. Oak Ridge did blow them out 5-0 but GV had 4 starters out that game. DB is very dangerous with Tori Head up top. Greeneville plays Farragut at Farragut on Sat and Bearden at GV on Tuesday so we'll see if they are up to it.
  19. Score was 1-0 GV at the half. Last 20 minutes of the 2nd half played after 8pm in poor light on a field with no lights. Briarcrest scored 2 late goals on GV's Sophmore backup goalie in scrums close in to the goal. GV's starting 2 forwards and starting goalie sat out most of the 2nd half. Briarcrest certainly looked sharper in the 2nd half though. Congrats on the win - it was a terrific game to watch The game started about 30 minutes late. This is the 3rd year in a row I have watched a game at the Cellular fields where most of the second half was played in the dark without lights. It's not fair to the players or refs and is dangerous. Katie Hunter's organizers deserve kudos for another great tourney but please take a close look at starting times for those later games on the fields without lights.
  20. what part of "scores and game summaries only, please" do you guys not understand??
  21. Bearden and Science Hill tied 1-1 at the half. Bearden 3-1 ten min into the 2nd half Bearden 4-1 with 3 minutes left
  22. Anybody know anything about ECS in D2?
