  1. I do like their point guard as well. I have not seen Grundy play at all this year, but remember her from last year. I will not be able to make this game b/c of a mule show, but GO GRUNDY GO!!! Did the big girl from Seq. come back?
  2. My college roommate played at Grundy in 98 and they won. I believe that has been the only one. Clarkrange should be up there in the numbers. Not sure of who else. Those are some solid college coaches that will be there. Time for all players to shine.
  3. I have only seen her play a couple of times and was very impressed with how she handles herself on the court and off the court. Never wearing her emotions on her sleeves. I see this kid as having success on the court and off. I love seeing kids get this opportunity. I live near the Cookeville area and I will be making Tech games now:)
  4. No way Grundy should be that low. Del, print this and give to the girls...BULLENTIN BOARD MATERIAL /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  5. Test results back today it was for sure a minor stroke. Balance will be effected, but other than that she should recover. Hypertension was the cause. She is back on the sidelines where she loves, so I agree that is the best medicine for her.
  6. I got to see her over the weekend and she looks great! I was not so sure she could make the game on Friday, but she said it was the best medicine. I knew she would be back at it before long. The power of prayer has truly brought her up. She will get test results back tomorrow so be thinking of her. Grundy is truly a special place no matter how bad of a rep they get. I am not from Grundy, but just reading the letters people have sent to her and all of the flowers, balloons, etc. really was touching. Her students drew some pictures and wrote her some cute notes. She is truly loved and very blessed. Thank you all for the replies back and most important prayers.
  7. Kasey will undergo more test in the morning. Everyone keep praying for her. She has emailed me a letter she has wrote. I am going to see if I can get her permission and put a copy on here. Keep Praying please!
  8. That is great! When it comes down to it, life is more than those fierce battles on the court. Through texts Kasey told me that several Dunlap people had contacted her family members. Great class in Dunlap. God will be with her during these difficult times she is facing. I have faith in him and Kasey is so strong. She sends me inspirational texts and emails of the mornings to get it started off right and I miss those. She is a leader in so many ways...not only on the basketball court. I am so fortunate to have known her as a life-long friend, teammate, roommate, classmate, etc. If you have not got the chance to know her you need to.
  9. Thank you for the link. I do not receive the Chattanooga paper in my area. I had actually thought about contacting the Tennessean, but I was not sure they cover Grundy area. Kasey seems to be in better spirits. She is going to try to make the ride to Grundy today. She wants to be with her team and could possibly be there Friday. I am not sure they will be able to keep her away:) I have been telling her about the prayers. Keep sending them please!
  10. That sounds like a great idea. Found out it was a mild stroke in left side of her brain. She will probably have to see a therapist for her speech. More tests will be performed all week. I am not sure I have ever heard Kasey down and out the way she is. She is weak right now and needs all of our prayers. All she told me on the phone was she knew her grandpa had to be with her for her to blackout in a church parking lot. Thank God for the couple that took Kasey to the hospital. I encourage all of her players if you get on here and read this to stand by your coach. She has stuck her neck out for you in so many ways. She did text and say that other schools players have contacted her and she was so happy to hear from them. That is a great gesture! There really are some wonderful people still left in this world:)
  11. Coach Woodlee lost her grandfather just 2 months ago. How fortunate that she had her stroke in a church parking lot. God will help pull her through...keep praying!
  12. Please pray for Grundy's coach, Kasey Woodlee. As she was driving to the Upperman game on Saturday she blacked out and had a stroke. They do not know how severe it is as of now. She will be going to the Dr. this evening to see what all it has damaged. Her speech is the only thing I can tell that is effected. Let's please pray for her. She is so young and you hate to see this happen to anyone. God will not give us anything we can not handle, but she is having it hard now. She needs everyones prayers.
  13. There are some quality players being left out. I watched Cleveland in the state and surely some of them got invited. I seen Tellico and Grundy in the Region. The one kid from Tellico should be there for sure. Who invites and why are some left out? I agree with you Indian even though I have not seen many games this year.
  14. So, are you saying the parent was in the right for going on the floor saying things to the Grundy bench? Was it right the parent was trying to get in the Grundy dressing room and security told him he was about to go to jail? I am not saying what goes around comes around, but that parent should have been kicked out of the gym as soon as he stepped foot on the floor. TSSAA needs to know about that. I wonder what he was going to do once he got in the dressing room???????
