If you are dogging Dekalbs pitcher which it sounds like to me you are 5 sport dad, then that does not say alot about Greenbrier. Dekalbs #1 pitcher is gone for the year with a acl tear and she is not coming back. Norton has done a tremendous job for the tigerettes. to hold a good greenbrier team to 4 hits is not shabby for a medicore pitcher as you say. You did not say that but your thoughts are in your words. Well i do think greenbrier is a very good team and very well coached. Best of luck to you guys in your new region. Yes goodpasture is alot better on paper but like you said before thats why we show up and play the game becasue games arent won on paper. See you guys in the sub state. Go Tigerettes.

I am a huge Dekalb Co. fan and would hate that a bunch of kids would damper the season dekalb was able to put forth this season. Preseason 6th place prediction to 19-12 is not bad. 6 losses to upperman and livingston. Livingston has an unbelievable team, coach and fans and i would hate that everyone would think so less of our program because of a bunch of idiot kids. I know for a fact that coach martin sent his asst. shockley to tell the kids that that was enough and that wasnt the type of class to show. They kept on so he sent a manager to one of the administrators from dekalb to no avail the stupid chants continued. I am just telling you what i saw and heard. Coach martin is all about class and repects the La program very much and wished he could take our program to where you guys are. So i apologize on behalf of all Dekalb co. fans and dont let this ignorance tarnish our whole program because our coach and players bust their tails. Best of luck to 7-AA. Upperman and LA what a final to tuff to call. I know dekalb wished they could have played alot better but give LA all the credit.

King i know John has great motivation but what is the bulletin board material you are speaking of. Was something said that station camp can use to fuel their team. Dont think it really matters at this point in the season everyone comes to play. Think Dekalb is a very scary team and watch out for a major upset , just a thought and the other game will be a dandy. All teams are good at this point what a great night for basketball and the middle tennessee area. Good luck to all 7-AA teams. In my opinion this LA team is one of the best teams i have ever seen. I would love to hear more about each matchup in this region and less talk about where the games are. There is nothing we can do about it is what it is. Who wins each of the 4 games and why. Lets talk basketball i know when they get to Upperman the sportsmanship between every team will be great so lets get past that part of the topic. Me being a big follower of Dekalb Co. basketball that was two great teams going at it tonite. Really fun to watch. Two great teams with outstanding coaches and very loyal fans from both sides. TJ Smith is a wonderful player and Dunn is unbelievable. Both teams played extremely hard they will represent 7-AA proudly. I would like to say congrats to my Dekalb co. tigers and go get white house and good luck to Macon also. Hope we are all there this has been a wonderful year of basketball. LA and Baxter are legit contenders.

Who is the darkhorse of the remaining teams besides upperman and LA. King do you think macon and cannon will both win thier opening games and lose to la and upperman and thats why you wonder how they would match up or was it just a thought. Who besides the twin towers could pull off a david and goliath.

How did both teams look and who do they play next. What are tomorrows match ups look like.

The Dekalb Co. Tigers have nothing to be ashamed about they had a wonderful season. Got beat by a really good Station Camp basketball Team. Just hurts to see the kids lead the whole game and have a 7 point lead with 6 minutes to go and get outscored 21-7 the rest of the way. Would like to wish Coach Massey and the Station Camp Bisons best of luck in the regionals vs Livingston Academy Wildcats. LA is a very good ball club and should be a great ball game. The Tigers finish 20-11 on the season boy has this program started to turn around and they just hope to compete at the top year end and year out with the likes of the Uppermans and Livingstons every year. Best of luck to LA and Smith CO. represent us well.

On the MVP award coaches rank the players 16-1 with 16 being the best. Coaches dont vote for own players. 16 would essentially be who you think is your MVP. For coach of the year coaches rank a 3-2-1 vote. With 3 being who you think did the best job own down. So essentially they vote for 3 coaches. Defensive player of the year was a 6-1 with 6 being who you thought was the best defensive player same goes for Freshman of the Year. This is what i got from asking around i dont know if this helps or is a bad thing but this is how it is done. Other districts do it differently talking to people in 7-A.

Being from the Sivlerpoint area, I know Coach Martin and Coach McWIlliams pretty good. I know for a fact that Martin believes what everyone else has stated that Coach Melton should have been coach of the year without question. The coach in question was Macons coach wondering why Stinson was not MVP or why he wasnt voted higher. This seemed to bring about the questions. Thats the facts i got from the people from Baxter. Cates is the best no doubt about. Great player and person and definitely the glue to the team. N2Deep that is where all the questions came from. Just clearing things up. Melton is a heck of a coach that did an outstanding job in his first year. Definitely the cream of the district. Livingston will go has far as they want to. The lady at the paper is the one that misplaced the ballot and that is the reason for all confusion but would not have been noticed if the coach had not been inquiring about his player in question. Stinson is great but everyone would love to have Wilson Cates.

What players are injured for Warren Co. and will not play on Friday. Someone said Majors is he out for awhile and who are the other key players out for warren. Co and how long are they out for.

Its not how you start but how you finish. Just some inexperience at some positions as time goes on they will get better. Lost some key parts off of that team from last year. Really good ballhandler and floor leader and two key bench personnel. They were really great defenders and rebounders. Parts that are hurting this team. They will get better no doubt in my mind.

Great game by both teams. No doubt the best two teams in the district. Livingston is so deep and talented and Dekalb only plays 6-7 guys and they ran a little out of gas. Livingston hit 8 3's for the game. Dekalb plays with alot of heart for a team that was suppose to lose by 20. Dekalb is the only team that has a chance to beat livingston.

Should be a great game. Alot at stake this early in the season. Dekalb might be the only team that can beat livingston in the district. Will go see this one.

so bob if livingston is going to be Dekalb by 20 at home then they will beat everyone in the district by 30

Who has a chance to beat Livingston next year in the district. You guys have got way off subjet of the question at hand. McCoin and Melton both good coaches. If L.A. is the best who will be the teams that will give them a run for their money in the district. Just your thoughts on the question at hand and not about the coaches.

Wanted to congragulate Livingston on winning the district regular season. You guys have a bunch of competitive guys with alot of class. Hopefully you guys and Dekalb will meet for the district tournament championship. Really good season Livingston and congragulations to Coach McCoin also.

Good win tonight for the Tigers. I dont understand your comment wingman 10 when you said Dekalb was having a tough year. They are 19-6 if that is a tough year then i would love to be having a tough year every year. Tigers keep up the momentum and keep that confidence rolling into next week and go get them in the district tournament.
