926, Does the AP even have an All-State team any more? From what I have been told, You do not have to be a member of the TFCA to nominate your players for this team. All coaches that showed up Thursday night before the championship games were the only ones allowed to vote. Now my info came from two coaches that were at the meeting.

From all that has been said, I don't think you have to be a member to nominate your own players.

bigtuck, Tell your coach to send in his ballot and maybe you or one of your teammates would have been selected. I don't think you have to be a member to send in names. IT JUST TAKES 5 MINUTES

stan trott, Why don't you tell everyone how it should be done. I don't have a clue how the TFCA does their selections, but at least they try. Somebody on anuther thread said coaches had to make nominations and send them in. Then the coaches voted on them at a meeting or something like that. If this is true then the coaches who don't send names in are at fault. Somebody has got to have the answer.

hey champman, If you read what others have posted,l then blame Quarles and Koatney. From what has been mentioned by LC 08, all it takes is 5 minutes for a coach to nominate and send in. Sounds to me like the coaches need to get off their lazy ###### and get with the program.

What is the TFCA? I thought it was Tennessee Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

I have lived in K'town all of my life and didn't realize you could get from Fulton to Alcoa and maryville in 15 minutes. YOu must be flying... a helicopter!

footballfan15, I would say only giving up 1 TD in 40 minutes ain't to bad. Now not moving past the 50 ain't to good. But how much should a 4A team beat a 1A team by anyway in a 40 minute scrimmage? I think Sheppard is from Clarksville and he was going home to be closer to family.

All Maryville people want ot talk about is the shape of the field last year. At least the Debil faithful are speaking of current facts not history. When the Debils pull the upset of the year, let's see what you blame it on. I don't know how fast Burnet is but I bet he is faster than a snail. Can't quite figure who to believe. Wildrooster says Watts mother made him quit. Someone else says Courtney quit after a shouting match with the head coach. Does any body really know what is going on. You would think HTV would know but it says he is out of town. Some body please tell us who will play and who won't play Friday night for Powell. bbs

Don't know if this is a rule be refs aren't supposed to work games where they attended school are they? Wildrooster, if you know the answer get back to me. I know when I played at Halls we never had any refs that graduated or played for the Debils. Do you have any other information about the scene at Powell? Sounds like they are in trouble. And you are right about the Maryville qb. His little league team even practiced on our practice and game field before he went to Maryville. Coach Sheperd, Coach Julian, Coach Polston always let teams from community park use our fields. Guess he got a big bonus from the Rebels for signing. Ha Ha bbs

Note to the Rebels, I was standing in the endzone stretching and hear the official say just what was quoted in a earlier post, it was the offical wearing the white hat. And that is fact. Now back to this years game, our Debils can win this game. IMO we need to be balanced in running and passing. Maryville will be tough to run the ball against, but we have showed we can run it. Lucas must have the time to throw and he will complete passes. We can't give up big plays on defense, and we haven't so far this year. We must play hard, which we have and we must not get beat deep. They have good rb but we have a dl and lb that can stop the run. I calling for an upset, 17-14 the Debils win. bbs

bcj40, I can't believe a fellow Red Debil done lied to me. Shame on you, I talked with some seniors from 2001 team and they said you never made it to varsity, you quit before spring. Makes no difference now but I know that whatever you print may not be acurate. Don't nobaody worry bout the Debils, they will handle LC with easy and work on getting ready for the Rebels next week. 8-2 7-3 is good for this year. Prolly go 2 rounds in the playoffs. bbs

I should have been a senior when you were playing or maybe I had done graduated. But anyway, I talked with players from 2000 and 2001 and they said Chad Jones never played on the varsity, but they thought he might have played 9th grade football. redbyrd84, Good post about the contradition. Sounds like the basketball player is just like a lot of fair weather fans. He prolly wants Fulmer fired becaause our Vols lost yesterday to a better team that was more rested than the Vols. He says Powell's Rb's ran the ball down our throats then says the defense plays great. In previous posts he says the game passed Sheperd by, now he is blaming Coach Ward for only running one formation, and play caling. He needs to get down to KJ's office and tell him what to do, since he obviously knows so much about futball. You sound like you know what you are talking about, so you must be close to the Debils situation. Your oppoenent sounds like a frustrated basketball player that likes to blame everything on someone else. Ferget him and move on. Our Debils need to look at the next game and ferget fusing about what happened last Friday night. We didn't play as good as Powell, get over it and work for the next game. nuff said, bbs

reddevilfever, You prolly don't know why Reese quit the team nor do I. But I will say this, Justin Reese knows and Sheperd knows. What we need to do is get those two on here and find out the real reason. Does that sound like a good way of finding out? NO, it makes no difference why he quit or when he came back. (If my information is correct he was back lifting befor Sheperd left, as was a few of the other players.) What is important is the Debils move on to next week. Coach Julian has done a great job of getting our Debils up each week and this coming week should be not different. Ferget Sheperd, Cameron Sharpe, Jeff Locwood and all of the others. If we keep trashing people on this thred, then we might wind up 5-5. And if that happens, the next thing you know we'll be trashing KJ. We all need to learn from the Pink Panthers - keep your mouth shut and stay off from making comments on this board about oponents.

To all posters, Our Debils got beat tonight. Were they beaten by a better team, maybe so, maybe not. But tonight we were beaten. Penalties, low snaps on punts, whatever, we just did not play well. But to get on here and bash coaches for playcalling, etc. that is not right. Sounds like you are going to bash anyone who does not do what you THINK they should be doing. To KJ, staff , and players let's pick ourselves up and go back to work and pull the upset of Maryville, finishing up 8-2. Let's call a spade a spade. Coach Sheperd did not go visit the youth league programs the way KJ has. He did not go into the community the way KJ has. He did score a single offensive TD against Central or Maryville in who knows when. KJ is who we wanted and now that we got him, support him to the greatest. On the other hand, Sheperd was not a home grown product and did not try to get into the community and that upset off the community. And yes redbyrd is right there are many players that came back to play this year that had already told Sheperd they wanted to come back. Now the coaching thing, I don't know about
