  1. Free entertainment at least lol they’re only lucky they aren’t running into the 2000s version of King on the T. He’d be their huckleberry
  2. The obsession with homecoming is a little strange. 11 posts and 5 of them are about Cloudlands homecoming.
  3. I’d be pretty surprised if they beat a healthy Cloudland. Unaka was without arguably their two best overall athletes Friday and it was still pretty close. Jellico will struggle to score even more against Cloudland and the landers are going to pound it until you eventually break. Jellico will need to figure out how to be more efficient offensively to knock off Cloudland.
  4. HV hitting their stride at the perfect time. The way their schedule is made up it’s completely possibly they go 6-1 over the last 7. Thought this one would be close but it’s all HV so far.
  5. Jellico 14 Unaka 0 at the half. Offense looks to be understandably struggling.
  6. Didn’t make the drive to Jellico but was told the Unaka QB isn’t playing. Likely done for the year. Can’t catch a break with injuries this season if true.
  7. Hope you’re right, Jellico has some decent skill guys. That’s where we still want to get the ball too. If they are stronger than us there then idk how it will go.
  8. It’s game day, might as well pick some scores. Hampton 50+ Cumberland Gap 0 Hampton big in this match up, Michael won’t run the score up. But idk if he can avoid hitting 60 without telling them to fall over. Jellico 30 Unaka 20 I would love to be wrong and have Unaka pull this out. I want them to go into Roan Mtn to end the season with the region on the line. I just don’t like this match up though plus it’s on the road and Jellico is a long ride. Eagleton 21 Happy Valley 14 Think this one could be the tightest game tonight and could go either way. But I’m gonna pick Eagleton to sneak by on the road in a close one. If HV can win though, they are hitting a good part of their schedule to turn the ship around this season. 4 of their next 5 after this should be wins on paper.
  9. I do, buddy of mine lived there when we were in school. Used to hang out around there a decent bit back in the day.
  10. I think I agree, but might take Eagleton over HV.
  11. I agree, pulling for the Rangers obviously, but I’d give Jellico and edge at home especially. Unaka will need to play their best game of the year thus far.
  12. Not been a lot of chatter, but let’s try this again. How are the Carter County schools feeling heading into week 4? Hampton - heading to Cumberland Gap after a lopsided win over Happy Valley. I’d expect much more of the same here. Hampton by as many as they want. Cloudland - bye week. Cloudland still looks to be the favorite in Region 1A. How are you all doing health wise, I think that’s the only thing that can possibly prevent you from taking the region. Unaka - heading to Jellico after the first win of the year 38-14 over region opponent Cosby. Big game for both teams, the winner of this one is likely the only one with any chance of being able to challenge the Landers. Jellico is 3-1 (one win by forfeit) they haven’t scored more than 14 and also haven’t given up more than 14 in a game. If Unaka can keep its offense going there might be a chance, long bus ride up there for a game on the road though. Happy Valley - The Warriors get Eagleton Academy at home coming off of Eagletons first win. How do the Warriors fare in their second region matchup?
  13. TSSAA won’t care because this doesn’t affect their pocket. I do find it hard to believe that West and Boone couldn’t find a period to make the game up between Saturday and Monday. Nothing EHS and Greenville can do unfortunately, but as I said in the other thread. Those teams wouldn’t be on the schedule again. Cyclones and Devils both travel well, I’d make sure neither team is getting any gate money from my fans in the future.
  14. Those two teams would unlikely be on the schedule going forward if I was making it.
  15. Why would Boone and West not just play this weekend? That really screws Elizabethton and Greeneville. Cyclones have hardly any home games and that takes one away and that’s a third game Greeneville won’t get this year.
  16. Defense played tough for a bit, but wore down. Can’t find anything offensively right now.
  17. Landers are gonna roll, win by whatever they want. I just feel for them on that bus ride. I know nothing about Twin Springs other than they won last week and put up 44. Unaka will probably struggle to keep pace if they put up that amount this week. Defense will have to step up. Looks like Pisgah is 2-0 right now. Hampton might still be trying to put all the pieces together. Would be a good win on the road for the Bulldogs if they can do it.
  18. I should read the thread title better, doh! Thanks for the correction and that certainly helps, think I’d take the Landers in this one then.
  19. I think WG is likely a bit better than they looked in the jamboree, but the Landers can win this one. If it was in Roan Mtn I would feel good about a Cloudland win, being in Greene county it could be a close one though.
  20. Not sure where Unaka will find offense at the moment. Pleased with how the defense looked, but the Rangers won’t be able to score enough to stay in this one, maybe the defense keeps it close for a quarter, maybe even a half, but I’d expect CD to pull well away by the late third quarter.
