Whatever the outcome of the situation is, I hope that Dyer County and Dyersburg continue to play each other in sports. I hated the days when the only time you could see these two teams play each other was go to the jamboree. Whenever you walk into a gym when DC and Dyersburg are playing each other it doesn't feel like a high school basketball game, it feels like a game on the collegiate level. I have been to many rivalry games in the country like Alabama and Auburn and the DC and DHS rivalry is on the same level as that game to me. People have turned to this thing into a life or death thing and it ain't( Dyer County Grammar). This is the same reason that they stopped playing each other in sports 50 years ago. During World War 1, Germany and Britian were fighting a war and on Christmas they stopped the fighting and played soccer and talked to one another. If he has any critics, I think this game showed them all. I think the hype is real. Not only did he play this good against a so-so high school team, but he did it against the #1 team in high school. He doesn't have a bad supporting cast though either. Final stats were like 31 pts, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists. I don't think he shot that good in the first half, but still a pretty good night.

So how did the Westview and Chester Co. game go?

I think the score was 72-60. I am not sure any other individual stats, but I believe Courtney Jones scored 14.

Crittendon scored his 1000th career point last night. Not a bad way to open up the season.

Dyer County won. Seat scored 20 for the Choctaws and that is the only stat I know.

I know that this is a High School site, but I just could not resist. I am a huge sports fan and I love to watch any kind of sport, but there is one sport that any sports fan loves to watch. College Football is the cream of the crop and there is no other sport that can compare to the atomsphere and tradition of it. Yea, baseball is America's pasttime, but College Football is America's sport. Not just College Football, but also pro football. I know that I could be missing something, but I can remember two MLB strike debates in the last 5 years and NBA has had at least one strike that I can remember. The NFL could have had a lockout, but they are not bickering about everything like baseball and basketball. No one is watching basketball as much anymore and everyone is getting disgusted with baseball. Well anyway, back to college football. The only thing I have ever heard of debate in College Football is the BCS and I think that the best team won last year, but the second place team should have been the Ducks. And when people in College Football cheat, they get punished. I know about this because I am a huge Alabama fan.(NO BAMA JOKES PLEASE!!). Someone could have already posted something like this and I missed it. I could be wrong about most of this and I probably am, but I just felt like talking and was wondering what do other people think America's Game is? To me it is football without a doubt. I was watching a middle school football game and it was a JV game. Well it was a sweep to the RB and he broke away and was in the clear when his pants came off and he ran another 10 with his pants around his ankles before he fell down.
