How are things in Springfield coach. I believe NE wins with all of the talent and speed on Defense.

It is all good unless your own band plays when you have the ball and are right in front of them trying to go into the end zone. I can understand if your band plays when the other team has the ball but not when you have it. oh and some schools have what is called competition bands. they don't travel with the football team but only attend home games or in county games and if school is not in session then they will not be there. Oh this is getting off topic and I am getting on a soap box sorry.

How are you this week? I am feeling disappointed. I hate the end of season blues. I thought you would want to go watch NE Play since a lot of the boys played for you for a while. Good luck to you this off season.

Go get'em tonight coach. Have your LB's prepared and do some great things on Special teams tonight coach. Keep that O going like the last game of the season and you can come out of there with a win. I hope you are feeling better and getting over that sickness. Hope you and your team had a great week of practice. Now it is time to go out and show what you have.

Because Shelbyville is 5A while Siegal is 6A. It had nothing to do with region but had to do with classification. Hopefully this will be fixed before next year and everyone is not waiting until the 30th hour to find out who they are playing and if they get in. One new thing said on the radio by Childress is to have a district games played by week 9 of football season and have week 10 be a game to play someone out of your district. This would set the district standings and everyone would know where they stand that way but then you have to go back to how it affects the wildcard teams and the teams that would be playing the wildcards.

footballfan101 you are probably right about the 4 WC teams so Springfield my move to pod 2 and Glencliff to pod 3. I just put LC in pod 4 to try and even up the teams since they are the most west team around there. and Craigmont or Jackson NS could be ahead of LC if they are over there. No one will know until the brackets come out on Saturday morning that is unless the rain keeps people from playing tomorrow night. always fun to see how close your predictions are to what actually happens.

sounds fine with me since they are mixed in regular season anyway.

He reads well makes quick moves and gets North/South real quick. Doesn't do a lot of shaking at all. If Henry would have gone 2 tight two weeks ago story may have been different not sure but with a wet field power teams do seem to do better.

My experience as a coach (over three decades if I haven't mentioned it) showed that in most cases, but not always, the power team had an advantage over the speed team. I haven't seen Dickson play, but my assumption is that Henry County has more speed, and they are more of a power football team. If I am correct, I would say that a wet field means advantage Dickson, but that doesn't mean they win the game. It merely means that their chances increase slightly due to the field conditions. Henry could be a power team with the big linemen they have and the 2 good big backs in 34 and 40. I think they will beat Dickson. They have to block #32 or he will be all over them. He is by far the best LB in the District in my opinion as a JR.

These next two weeks go along way in determining the wildcard teams. If Springfield wins out then they could jump some of the 4-4 teams if they lose out. What gets me is the 2-7 or 2-8 teams that get the automatic berth in the playoffs. I believe you should have at least a 5-5 season to make the playoffs. Oh well I am not making the decisions on it so I will not know until Saturday October 31, 2009 who will be playing whom and where. Isn't that a great Halloween treat.

Coach do you always have to get on here and talk about your team? Your team is young and they are going to make young mistakes. You just have to deal with it and not get on the boards and talk about them. Good Luck to you this week because if you and your team can win out there is a good shot at a wild card birth. Getting 7 teams in from Region or District 10 would be great. and a great feat for a young team like Springfield.
