  1. I must correct you. Fulton has beaten someone from your region the last three years. The year before that it was the Roadrunners who beat up on Trousdale County, who was in your region. All four games were blowouts!!! I'll say it again, the region WAS weak!!! It IS much stronger this year. I wasn't saying that Catholic doesn't have a great team. Based on the first two games and their past football seasons, it appears that Catholic has yet another strong football team. My question was whether the team is really that good or were their first two opponents really that bad? The real truth will be found out on Friday night. Go Roadrunners!!!
  2. Do you have any info on Brainerd? What do they have and how good is it?
  3. I'm not sure what was behind that but, I'm sure there was a reason. I did see a few of our players shake hands! Good words of encouragement AERoadrunners! I'll take it a step further. I EXPECT to see you in the playoffs Fulton!!!
  4. Catholic is off to a great start but the question is how good are Smith County and Sequoya. Smith county and Sequoya both come from regions that are traditionally very weak. Losing Harris and McAlister doesn't hurt us as much as you might think. We are always loaded at running back and quite deep at linebacker this year. The coaching change really is no change at all, at least in philosophy. Coach Graham has been on the Roadrunner staff since Coach Stevens took over in 1999. He only adds a few new wrinkles to an already winning program. Lastly, the only reason people were surprised that we beat Fulton was they saw a 6-3 score against Red Bank and assumed that the Roadrunners were down this year. WRONG ANSWER!!! Go Roadrunners!!!
  5. It's gonna be another good hard fought game. Go Roadrunners!
  6. What happened Panthers? Y'all didn't beat Webb but the Roadrunners DID beat Fulton. Seems that the Panthers need to worry about themselves and leave everybody else alone! Sorry you had to learn such a hard lesson so early in the season!!! Good luck in the rest of the season! You guys really can be one of the better teams in the area but "you've got to walk the walk and not just talk the talk!!!"
  7. What about them Roadrunners!!! The fellas got the job done and silenced all the doubters. Fulton did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes but we kept fighting and overcame those mistakes. That was an awesome interception by Anthony Anderson and a truly sweet touchdown run by Tony Dean. Both were plays that more than made up for some mistakes they had made earlier. I really like how the team didn't get down after making a mistake. They were quick to bounce back! Go Roadrunners!!!
  8. I actually think that Freeney may be even more dangerous than Rogan. We have not really seen all that Freeney can do yet. We already know what Rogan can do and should be prepared for it. I still believe that we can take care of business tomorrow night. I think that folks are making a mistake by underestimating the Roadrunners. Go Roadrunners!!!
  9. AERoadrunners my last post was intended for all the Falcon fans. I was at the Red Bank game too. Didn't think I would make it but, at the last minute, things worked out!!!
  10. The Jamboree performance meant absolutely nothing!!! The Red Bank game really wasn't as close as the 6-3 score might indicate. The Roadrunners should have scored at least three more touchdowns!!! We made too many mistakes in the red zone. Coach Graham and the staff will correct those mistakes this week and the boys will be ready to play!!! Don't let that game and one quarter fool you. The Roadrunners are STILL the dangerous team that they have always been. If allow yourself to believe anything else you will be setting yourself up for a major disappointment! Go Roadrunners!!!
  11. Sounds like Friday night wasn't a real good night for Tennessee teams playing in the Bluegrass state!!! It's a shame that the refs won't just won't let the kids be the ones that fully decide the outcome of the game! Maybe Tennessee teams need to stop going into the Bluegrass state to play regular season games. It seems that there's always some confusion when we go there to play.
  12. A wins a win. I guess I'd rather win ugly than to lose!!! A-E Roadrunners ALL the way!!!
  13. Looks can be deceiving! No, we're not clicking on all cylinders like we normally do but, that won't last forever!!! I believe it will be a good game in spite of it all. I wouldn't expect anything less from an A-E vs. Fulton game. GO ROADRUNNERS!!!
  14. Hey AERoadrunners, did you hear about Red Bank H.S. being closed yesterday because "somebody" had spread fecal matter all over the school. You can read the artlice on the WATE 6 and WVLT 8 websites. It's amazing what folks will do sometimes!!!
  15. I'm not a member of the Roadrunner Touchdown Club. Please get me the info. I'm not going to be able to go to the game. Both of my parents have been sick for the last few months and I don't have anybody to sit with them while I'm gone. I guess I'll be listening to the game on the radio. I plan on being there for the rest of the games!!! Have a safe trip to Chatt-town!!!
  16. I understand it's a two-fold problem. Number one, the band hasn't quite polished the performance yet. Number two, it was going to cost an awful lot for such a short bus trip. I guess because of the high gas prices and all! I imagine the thinking is that since this game isn't as important, as far as rivalry or postseason implications, as most of the other games it is probably the only game that can be sacrificed. Although, if gas prices get a lot higher they might have to cut some other games as well.
  17. No, they won't be coming this week.
  18. Hold up AERoadrunner, that doesn't necessarily mean that the visitors side is small. It could just mean that he is expecting a real large crowd. Also, I'm not sure how many Brainerd and Howard fans will be there because they are playing each other at Brainerd on Friday. I'm sure that there will be some scouts from Brainerd there. I still think it's a good idea to get there early. Is game time still 7:30? GO ROADRUNNERS!!!
  19. If you guys can keep your focus, I believe this is your year. Your offense is awesome and the defense can be one of the best in East TN. Good luck Bobcats and, of course, Go Roadrunners!!!
  20. I agree with AERoadrunner. Powell didn't beat us as much as we beat ourselves by not tackling and hitting somebody on defense. I do agree with you, Panthers08, Watts was truly awesome!!!
  21. Good Luck! Go Roadrunners!!!
  22. Thanks for the info AERoadrunners! Hopefully they'll get the offense going a little better at Maryville and ,more importantly, stay away from any serious injuries!!!
  23. Is A-E scrimmaging Maryville next week? If so, I need the date, time and location. I thought the Runners looked pretty good on defense in Friday's scrimmage but still need some work on the offensive end. I saw a few glimpses of what the offense can and WILL be. Just needs a little more tweekin'.
