This region is to hard to predict. Everyone has made good points. I will say that Dyer County has more talent across the board than they have ever had. If they do not make some noise this year, someone needs to be fired. I also will say as long as James Counce is in Dyersburg, I will not pick against them. Also, keep your eye on Mr Hudson the massive lineman at Dyersburg. He will go D1 (UT)

Dyersburg and Lexington have proved to be best so far, but Dyersburg has a hard road ahead. If everything falls like it should, Dyersburg would have to beat Crocket in the 2nd round and Covington or Trezevant in the 3rd round. Beating those two twice in the same year is a tall order to fill. Good luck Trojans!!

James Counce - Dyersburg He has more success with less pure talented athletes than any coach. Beware he has talent the next 3 years.

Like you said mq, Dyersburg is in the drivers seat, but they must play their A game the next 3 weeks. If they play a mad Covington team like they played Ripley or the 1st half of the DC game they will get beat this Friday. On the other hand if they play like they did in the Crocket Co game they will run the table. I have no doubt that coach will have them ready.

Good news for JT Beasley. He went for surgery yesterday and found out is was not as bad as they thought. The ACL is healing itself. He will only be out for 3 months instead of a year.

Dyersburg is moving down from 4A where they held there ground against JCM and Melrose with so so talent. Trust me, they are loaded the next 2 years and have one of the best coaches around. This region will be exciting to watch.

I understand this is a tough situation, but it is football season not basketball season. This young man was the #2 QB (very reliable source tells me he was probably going to be #1) and a team that will very likely be in the running for the state title was counting on him.

It heard that he wanted to play in a basketball tournament the same weekend as the team went to camp. Coach told him he could not miss camp. He quit.
