Is Austin Peay not in the running anymore for Stewart? Last I heard and I'm sure this change after his state tournament performance, that he was interested in UTC and Austin Peay.

I'll say this and anyone who follows Bball in Middle TN knows that Whites Creek has always been a power. That being said anytime you start or even see time as a freshman at "the creek" that says something about your talents/heart. Overall Jamie seems to be a really good person.

You're probably looking at Whites Creek, Antioch, Clarksville and Gallatin as a few of the top teams not just in Middle TN but in all of the state. Mt.Juliet will be strong as well as Lavergne.

I think Tyrone Caldwell (Clarksville) has played really well the last two weeks. His game seems to be maturing and getting better ever game. Rayshawn Walker (Clarksville-Northeast) Marcus Jefferson (Lavergne) Marsallis Malone (Gallatin) Those are a few that standout..There are more but it really depends on what people look for.

What does everyone think about this matchup..Two teams very athletic with good players. Guard play for both teams are the strengths, Clarksville should be bigger than Hunters Lane.

I think those teams just ended up getting out played in thier games..Those were actually two good games.

If you'd read in between the lines, I wasnt saying the ref shouldnt have called the tech..I was saying that Primm should have just walked away and kept his mouth closed. Obviously if someone uses profanity on the floor you call a tech....Read the post again and maybe you'll get a better understanding.

This was a really good game from start to finish. Despite the final score, both coaches came in with great plans and the kids execute to the end. For one I feel sorry for Ben Wheeler(#33) because he missed both free throws that would have at least given them OT. I've seen him play since he was a freshman and I've always enjoyed watching him. Hes been good enough to start for most teams but bought into coming off the bench and playing his role perfectly. The SRs at Beech didnt get that State Tournament berth I know they were hoping for. The technical foul was uncalled for and Kurt Primm(#32) should feel lucky he didnt cause his team the ball game. But give DC all the credit because they made big plays all night. Never hung thier heads when they got down by as many as 6. Maybe this is a sign that 10-AAA is moving forward in the region because I can remember when 9-AAA couldnt hold a torch to this district.

I agree, those are really good points. Being a 10-AAA supporter, I've been really embarrassed that we've been swept the last 3 years. I think 9-AAA has some outstanding coaches and its shown during thier district tournament. Consiering Lavergne had a chance to beat a really good Hendersonville team Thursday night. I dont think 9 will sweep this year but if they do I think every game would have went down the wire. Clarksville and Springfield seem to have the best shot of winning their games, that sounds crazy considering Clarksville has a really good Hendersonville team thats beat them 24 first game of the season. Dickson Co will probably give Beech trouble because they can play in low scoring games and shoot the ball well from outside. They have a big guy inside who could cause trouble for them in that 1-3-1..The main things lets just hope for a good tournament.

Kurt plays Combo Guard for Dickson Co. He will bring the ball up the floor most of the time along with his younger brother Jon (#10). Springfield shouldnt have any problems handling Henry Co. I think the glass slipper will come off in the first quarter as Springfield looks to be on a mission. It was set up for a really good Championship game had Clarksville done thier part. But like it was stated in an earlier post, HC deserve to beat Clarksville..They totally outplayed them from jumpball.

I can see Springfield winning this game by 15+...I think you'll see Clarksville-Springfield for a Championship game. The winner of that game is still a toss up..I'm not willing to say one way or the other. I like Clarksville playing at home for district and region...

Yea, I agree Dontay is a good shooter but I doubt he is better than Harper from Clarksville H.S *I dont know if I agree with Jonathan Williams being selected all district. If he was more consistent than I would go along with it, however he will need to step it up if Rossview has a chance to get out of the first round.

I think you gotta go with Clarksville being they did win the regular season convincingly and they're hosting it. Playing on thier home floor they are tough to beat. However, I think Springfield has a chance to win the tournament as well as Dickson Co. Dickson had the breakdown towards the end of the season but was neck and neck with Clarksville the whole season. This should be a really good tournament. I really hope the best 4 teams go so maybe they can give district 9-AAA a good run because those teams are tough.

Being a coach myself I really try not to get on these message boards and post negative/critical messages but I thought opening the game, Whites Creek should have pressured thier guards full court and tried to speed the game up a little bit. Beech makes a living winning the High 30 and Low 40 games. They much rather keep the score low therefore if you have the horses to run a race then its best to use them. One other note, this whites creek team probably has more depth than any I've seen in the last 7 years. The last time I've seen a whites creek team with this much depth featured Desmon Cambridge and James Stewart..Those teams got beat two years in a row by Clarksville. Other than that, that was a great high school basketball game. I was fortunate to be in attendence to see some wonderful student athletes. I was disappointed to see Calvin Roberts show immaturity on the bench instead of cheering his team on even when he wasnt in the rotation. I expected more from him. Possible sweet 16 games for that area: Clarksville, Beech, or Hendersonville are probably Region 5-AAA favorites..Clarksville gets a little advantage because of hosting the tournament. I wouldnt sleep on Dickson Co, Springfield, or Mt.Juliet Whites Creek, Franklin, Hunters Lane, and Antioch are probably the favorites in that region.

I understand that it was preseason but didnt Clarksville beat Sycamore in a controlled scrimmage? Knowing that both teams are completely different from back then because of improvement, I would say that Clarksville still beats them in a close game.

I heard Blackman was really good as well. I'd like to see those two play again. What are the names of the two big kids who play post for Mt. Juliet? They're pretty good. WOW, the high school team should be solid down the road

Does anyone know where Mt. Juliet boys M.S. will play during middle school state tournament? I heard they were really good and I would like to see them play this postseason. Let me know if you hear anything.

I think Cookeville has some really nice facilities...Henry Co has a nice gym because it has that old school look with the score board. It looks more like an arena. I think the parque floor reminds everyone of the old Boston Garden. But thats a really nice gym and it seats a big number of people.. Clarksville H.S. has good seating as well. Thats a big gym.
