Speaking of old theories: I like the one about offense wins games but defense wins championships. Implying that on any given night offense can help but having a stout defense is more important. That all sounds great until you get to the championship game. So which is more important in the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Hmmmmm?

The fact of the matter is that nothing will ever be completely equal. My feeling is that they are all high school kids, so they should all compete against one another. The more we try to separate the more people will complain that things are still not fair. It is a never ending cycle and people who want to will always make an excuse

Bulldog has no other purpose in life than to blame his own bitter dissappointment on others. Life will never be fair for him. Nothing anyone can say will change his mind. He actually enjoys trying to draw pity upon himself. Which is why he is doomed to the life he has. Stop trying to argue, he will always be unhappy as long as someone else is more successful or has more money than him, which will be forever because he wastes his time blaming others instead of doing something about himself. My guess is that he probably couldn't afford a private school or didn't get accepted into one and therefore is convinced that they are bad. No need for anymore sensible arguments here!! Save your energy for someone less permanently pathetic.

When did he tear his ACL? He has played all year. Was it in the last game? What is his status?

As someone who has seen both teams play this year multiple times, I have to say that Lexington has the advantage in this one. It isn't just lexington's speed that makes them tough, it's that they have speedy guys who are also hard to tackle. As good as Lipscomb's D has been this year, I have seen some times when they haven't tackled well. I don't really see this game as very close, I think Lexington wins about 24-7.

Congratualtions Tennessee!!!!! One of the few states in the union that is red neck enough to discuss the merits of chewing tobacco in a high school football forum!!! Here's some other topics of interest which might fit in well with this subject. Should we fly the confederate flag at football game? What relatives of the coaching staff get in free to games. Just spouses? Should cousins get in free also? What if they are the same person? Should confederate money be allowed to be used at the concession stand? Should words such as Y'all and "Fixin to" be allowed to be spoken? Should we really even have scoreboards since the majority of the population can't read anyway? Lots of things to ponder...........

This really doesn't belong on the football site. It is about wrestling. I know you are trying to relate it to football, but it just isn't working. You are just trying to promote your sport through the popularity of football. Their is obviously some correlation between the two sports, but no more so than any two other sports. I think the point people are trying to make( in a rather obnoxious way) is that every sport basically has some benefits in certain areas of other sports. Don't take your desire for wrestling to be a main stream sport and shove it down our throats. Let us just enjoy the sport we all love- football!!!!

I am shocked that so many people are picking Lipscomb to win this game. Two 3-1 teams with a major rivalry is never easy to pick. I read that lipscomb had won the last four, but it seems to me that it is hard to beat the same team especially a rival that many times in a row. I saw the Goodpasture- JP2 game and was impressed with Goodpastures team. Sure they made some mistakes, but I think they will only get better. I haven't seen Lipscomb play yet but I have read and heard that they are nothing of what they have been in the past few years. I really look for Goodpasture to pull the win off in this one. Their coaching staff can only take losing this game so many times in a row, so I am sure they come out with something big in this one!!!

I know you say you'll match wits with this guy anytime, but I think he has gotten you this time. This guy is obviously just trying to get a reaction and you all caved in and gave him a big one. Some people need to learn to not take things so seriously on this board. If you haven't noticed a lot of people just spout off to see what people's reactions are. If you can read I did tell you why DL doesn't play them. Region games, Goodpasture, Greenbrier. I actually did attend a public school in a state where ALL publics and privates were considered equal. No mulitipliers, just high school kids playing high school football. I also never said DL was "outmatched" at EVERY position. I said if you compare each player at similar positions Page had the athletic advantage at many of the positions. And finally I would love the explanantion of what "resources" DL or any private school has that a public school does not. And I mean resources that make the difference in winning and losing not just a pretty field.

Thats a lot different than the earlier talk this week about DL being out of its league(so to speak) in 3A. They are high school kids, you are high school kids. I would venture a guess, that comparing position to position DL was out matched in most every position last night. It all comes down to execution desire and coaching. Private schools do not have a corner in the market on these qualities. My sense is that there are a bunch of sore losers on this board who are looking for excuses as opposed to looking for ways to improve.

I have said it all along, the radio crew wins every game for the mustangs. The team simply turns on the radios in their helmets and everyone gets an advantage. And playing on that nicely painted field? It really only helps DL. As for why they don't play other private schools, is because they have been multiplied up into a classification without many others. They have to play their region games, and you can hardly say they were trying to wimp out by also scheduling Goodpasture(private school) and Greenbrier(who beatr them). Oh, and their facilities help them a ton.... Wait, have you actually seen there facilities. Their football facilities are clean enough, but they stink(technical term). I guarantee that many public schools have athletic facilities(at least football) as nice if not nicer than DL's. Now I am not sure if you are writing because you actually think DL has an advantage or you just want a reaction. So if you just want a reaction it is this......You are a MORON if you think DL has an advantage.

I agree that page is awesome and noone will even challenge them in the regular season. They are way too physical!!!!
