  1. Ugly but solid win FC. Maybe these teams can meet again in a few weeks. The fc Defense played lights out entire game and o-line continued their physical play. AT runs like a grown man and the younger guys at rb and qb are progressing nicely. Hopefully, the young man from DCA has a full & speedy recovery. I hate to see any kid hurt so severely. Speaking for all fc fans he will be in our prayers.
  2. nice win TC bout like I'd predicted. Good luck in playoffs.
  3. i stand corrected. Nice job BGA!
  4. I believe Red Robin is an MBA follower and has no real dog in this hunt. FC enrollment is approx 215. You don't hear us complaining about playing Webb, ECS, SG, or BGA. Playing reasonably bigger schools with winning traditions (TC, Goodpasture, etc) has raised our game in the past and eventually every dog has their day. Now schools co-oping with others ( USN/DCA) is a whole other argument and a clear advantage the T$$AA should address. If your going to use their players then count their enrollment.
  5. Webb wins by mercy rule. The webb ol & lb's will continue to dominate. BGA is good but no where near Webb.
  6. McNeal is a Goodpasture alum and would make sense but I don't see him leaving FC for GP unless there were a change in administration at GP. He has total control at FC in athletics and suffered through 20 yrs there to reach the level of success he's enjoyed the past 7 yrs. GP would never give him the same control Imo. The split is coming but until then he could lead GP back to a level required to beat TCA at least 50% of the time and lord knows he owns Watertown. As for Atwood he is an absolute diamond in the rough as is Duane Lowe the DC at FC. Both are young men who fit ALL of the criteria required for GP. I'd hate to see FC lose either man because of their ability to teach & mentor but would love to see both have the chance to build their own programs.
  7. true, but when "the split" happens there's a good possibility that there are 3 DII classes.
  8. Yeah, I'd agree they would probably love to have him. Then again I'd say 90%+ schools in TN would love to have Creasy as their coach. I've learned a lot more about people by how they handle adversity than success. Watching how Creasy handled last Friday impressed me as much maybe more than watching his 3 state champion teams.TC 34 Goodpasture 14
  9. Only Harper was out vs FC but he is 75% or more of their offense and special teams. They have had a couple others miss time with concussions but they played last Friday. From my vantage point last week it seemed many of the TC faithful had turned on the team and some fans were even yelling at coach Creasy!Their team played hard until FC scored to go up 21-0 then several laid down. It's tough when you lose a lot of linemen to graduation like TC this season or FC last season. Add losing your best offensive weapon and it magnifies it exponentially. I felt like FC coach McNeal laid off once the MERCY RULE went into effect and got his JV in rather than running it up like many teams would have done given the same chance vs TC. HARPER Returning will help but the sideline towel wavers and other TC fans need to be a little more encouraging IMO.
  10. I'll say it again. TC is an elite program and playing them has made FC reach heights never reached before. I appreciate coach Creasy's willingness to continue the rivalry and after watching the youth on both teams last night I'd expect more great games & titles between these two programs in the next 4 yrs.
  11. in 2010 TC won at FC 10-6 in another classic game. FC lost in last minute in qrtr finals of playoffs at SM. TC lost at home in semis to SM.
  12. Should be a close game between Wilson county's 2nd & 3rd best programs. I'm predicting 76-75 on a 3 run hr by MJ in the 4th.
  13. Congrats Blackman. Too bad Kisler - wrong AGAIN.
  14. Looked like the same game as last yr only winning team swapped jerseys. FC Line play was dominant. TC most explosive player is out & it's hard to replace a Mr Football candidate. Similarly, FC played without their best offensive threat last yr with AJ Long (Syracuse university) out.Cleanly played game between 2 old rivals. Good luck to TC as the season plays out.
  15. Trousdale owns a 3:1 advantage over most opponents. Thing is some opponents look to improve thru scheduling up and playing the TC's of the world while others run & hide from them (SC/Westmoreland). The way I see it playing TC makes FC better win or lose. No way our kids win it all in 2011 & 2012 without having had to play TC in 2008(twice), 2009(twice), 2010, & 2011 (twice). "IRON SHARPENS IRON"!
  16. carman has improved dramatically over last season. He might be the most improved player on the FC defense so far this season. Bigger, stronger, faster.
  17. you're usually pretty spot on with your predictions Ambassador, hope & think you might've missed this one. We'll all see Friday night.
  18. To set the record straight you guys chose red bank or FRA not ND over playing FC. Probably a wise move.
  19. Knew the public/private split was coming. Might as well jump in as opposed to getting forced out.
  20. Notre Dame is an average team like Boyd. You wanna schedule up call TC, Knox Webb, or St George all teams playing last December & all teams who beat FC. C'mon man!
  21. guessing it was easier for you to stay home & save face from getting your butt pinned in State by a champion!! By the way FC won 2 rings in 2011 football & basketball & 2 more in 2012 football & baseball. Champ was our middle name in D1- 2A. Heck we haven't lost to Boyd since Moby was a minnow. Be glad Reynolds scheduled then quickly dropped FC for football in 2013& 2014. He knew!!
