I watched a lot of HSFB today on the ESPN networks and the talent that I saw in this game rivals many on display. The score is not indicative of the game play, great game...congratulations Maryville. I won't be on the T much since I have a lot of FB here in the DMV with a nephew playing at Dematha (MD) and have a chance to catch Navy and Kyle Malik play. The coaches were on vacation that year. The kid from AE should have been designated as "athlete"- start Wall at QB, then play that kid at different spots within the offensive scheme (wildcat, slot, etc)

Reb, I'm cool...however, there was a fan of the Red Rebels (whose T handle I won't mention) who (back in the day) labeled a few Alcoa players, namely D. Lindsay and B. Warren as thugs. My position was that it was inappropriate and childish for adults to call high school kids names. BTW, I cheer for Maryville every week, but this one-that is all

I wasn't the one who called a bunch of high school kids thugs! However, I was the one who stepped up to defend them and will do it again! I also remember that it was my sister and I who spurred the cultural sensitivity training that Maryville High School had to go through a few years back Now back to the game- I always pull for Alcoa
