Centennial has undisputedly the fastest guy in williamson county in chaz scales and possibly the next fastest in tony kemp and then you throw out raymond jackson and drew kelly to top that off. Again no offense to Page, but a majority of their offense comes from two guys, Blake Neel and Taylor Lankford. They do have the number two ranked kicker in the country but that wont hold up against Centennial.

Both teams should come out of this game 1-1. No offense to Page but Fairview and Centennial are not on the same playing level. The speed of Centennial wins this game giving the Matykiewicz his first win at home as the Cougars' head coach. 35-10 CHS

i wouldn't say exactly as planed. Centennial scored in the first quarter and it was 7-7 going into the last ten minutes of the game. That was all part of the plan for Brentwood?

Jayjizel summed it up pretty well Centennial did look really well. I think a lot of the mistakes made were the first game mistakes. Centennial will grow out of those. Definitely the best Cougar team I've seen since the 03 playoff team. Brentwood D looked stout. Offense was saved more by the miscues and the Defense. Take away the miscues and you're looking at a 7-7 game going into the final drive. Overall a very good game.

good to hear that centennials defense was able to control antioch and mt juliet i dont think any one questioned that centennial can score points defense has always been the question mark over the past two years and being an alumni i am glad to hear they are holding their own

how does everyone think centennial will fair against brentwood on friday? I know brentwood will definitely be favored but can centennial pull of an upset being it's week zero?

also i agree with tdmania in that centennial can make a run at the 4 spot looking at their schedule they have page, clarksville, columbia, glencliff, and ravenwood at home this season the first two centennial dominated last year, the second two centennial beat by more than a touchdown so that right there could easily be 4 wins at home and with ravenwood without becker and a good portion of their o-line from last year (they still have duncan though) centennial may be able to squeak out a win there and possibly going 5-0 at home then only needing one road win to have a nice shot at playoffs not sure if it will happen but i'm allowed to hope

i dont see Dickson County making playoffs this year lost too many people last year including almost all their O-line which is why they dominated so heftily

well the first couple of pages everyone mentioned brentwood i believe there is even a general consensus that bwood will win the region or at least compete with franklin for it

I've also heard the Drew is playing this year That will give Centennial a BIG target downfield which will be a big plus You also have to love both Kemp and Jackson in the running back position Offense should be able to put up the points Run D was the biggest issue last year (Pettigrew 200 yards) so it really all resides on the defense this year

Coach Burkes left to take a head coaching job in a different state if i remember right Can't really tell you why we switched offenses but i don' really mind the change

I'll throw my two cents in here just for the sake of it the coaching argument Matykiewicz vs Gregory is completely irrelevant yes Gregory took the 03 team to the playoffs and a win there but does it matter today? Matykiewicz is the coach now and has been for over a year and a half. I spent all but one game (Ravenwood due to surgery) on the sidelines with Coach Mat and I know from first hand experience that he is more than capable of taking this Centennial football team, this year to the playoffs. Also from what I understand CHS is running I-Formation instead of shotgun this year so Matykiewicz will be running his specialty offense this season. Centennial is gonna surprise a lot of people this season. oh. and Centennial plays Franklin on Halloween night. In the words of one of my friends on the team, "There's something to be said about that one."

still morris will never put of the numbers that drew does consistently drew dropped 20 pts and 15 boards against indy tonight morris 14 against franklin not saying that indy and franklin are comparable but its been this way for the past year and a half drew averages 20+, morris just under 15

Stroop has really been steppin it up for Centennial and gives the cougars a triple threat with himself, kelly and mcclemore

regardless holding a team to 28 pts regardless of how many players are missing is still impressive

now lets not write off ravenwood just yet one game can't determine the whole season
