  1. thanks for the compliment, we just ran into one of the best teams in 1a history.
  2. jcs is the second team in 2 years to start 2-3 and make it to the borrow. uc did it last year. maybe this should be a coaching stratedgy i just hope for a different outcome in the end
  3. i would just like to congradulate jcs for making it to the boro. though my tornadoes are not there this year, i know the eagles will represent west tn well. as a boro alum, i just like to express how big an honor it is. win or lose, there will be tons of emotion (and after its over, there will be tears. for either joy or sorrow. there is no avoiding it. ). for the seniors it is going out on top, for the juniors and underclassmen it is an experience that will make you want to return. jcs, represent the west, show them how real football is played. though ill always love the purple and gold, maybe for now ill be blue. GO EAGLES!!! go tornadoes!!
  4. YEA,its big Drew. So what u want to do? JBS, UC is coming for you! ITS DREW CHESTEEN BABY UC #77.
  5. how does marquis weddle go from number 14 to number 17 in the 2006 rankings,he is the best player in west tn with out a doubt, he is an all stater averaging 22 pts 7rebs and 5assists a game to me he is in the top 10. no one can guard this guy period and everybody who has seen him play or played against him knows it.in the hall of champions game he killed willie kemp and everybody else on the team.even though they lost but the team only had six to seven guys with their only post player fouling out early in the game due to the others in the post season in football.but i think those rankings need to be changed.i kno everybody hates uc but you cant take that away from this guy he earned it
  6. This is a very ignorant statement. Union City has not played 3a ball since the early 90's. But the steady decline in enrollment has forced UC to drop classifications over the years. And with the enrollment as low as it is, UC should be in the 1a classification. Say you do make it to the 'boro and you play Trousdale County, they were 3a LAST YEAR. How much complaining would you do then? The truth will come out Friday night to just how good these teams actually are. As for right now, the teams are very evenly matched. Its a tough call, but UC by 14.
  7. union city wins the 7-1a championship with a victory over greenfield 49-6. How far do you think they could go?
  8. as is union city in 7-1a. 5-0 with a chance to clinch championship against a very poor greenfield team. playoffs are already gaurenteed
  9. as a member of the uc football team and a member of the south fulton sr. babe ruth team i know for a fact that half of that football team never lifted. so do not start blaming a better uc team for your coaches inability to control his players. if they even cared they would have been up 5 days a week. just like many of the uc players.
  10. there is no competion to union city's backfield. 4 backs have over 400 yds rushing, with the highest being Nate Coleman at 586 with 10 TD's! as for lake county's backfield and quaterback, from what i saw at the game, which we BEAT yall, i would say south fulton has better backs. so lake county, just stink up your loss and hope yall lose before we get to you in the playoffs AGAIN.
  11. no doubt the best game of the year is union city v. mckenzie. a game that could possibly determine region 7-1a champions. there were over 1000 yards in total offense gained by the two teams. mckenzie's all-state quarterback drew hayes through for 480 yards and ran for 11. the attempted 76 passes, a state record, while going no huddle, empty backfield, and shotgun the whole game. union city gained 530 yards on the ground. along with another 130 in the air. the running game of union city and the magnificint air game of mckenzie made this probably the best game....SO FAR!
  12. Union city definaltely has the biggest team. their o-line averages 6'4 and 260 lbs. They also have the use of the tallest high school football plyer in the state. Wes Carr is 6'11" tall and just south of 300 lbs. Itll be hard to contend with line, they are also quick and agile.
