  1. AE by 2 TD's..................... Nuff Said
  2. Unk and Auntie...... Think you got the score right, but the wrong way. Dont see Fulton losing this one. Rogan for a TD and some kind of special team TD to give Fulton their 12 and you have to beleive that Shiverdecker will get loose for a TD too. Kicking game gonna bite somebody before the year is over. If this one is close enough, could be this week. Snap it, hold it, kick it......thats what those funny looking upright things in the endzone are for guys. Really................
  3. Old man MO is the key to this one. Maybe the type of game that turns on one break. Still think its DB in a close one. DB 14 OR 10
  4. AE rights the ship this week 21 - 7. AE is never going to go 0 - 4, never, never, never.......Irish and Tigers and Bears, oh my!!!! ....but never a beaver Nuff Said
  5. Cocke County hasnt played anybody tough so far. Carter by 14. Carter is at home this week, right?
  6. South Doyle fans.......keep the faith. There are at least 3 other schools in the area with as many or more problems with the coaching staff....or lack thereof. At least one of the unmentioned schools is actually winning ballgames, but at a price of destroying the program for years to come. Some Head Coachs do not understand that these are kids and not pawns to get to where they are going while others badger and berate in order the guise of teaching. BUT.......there are some really good coaches in the area. Guys that teach and mentor while being able to be tough. More of them than most people think. So, SD, Rome wasnt built in a day....see it through
  7. An admirable quality, I'm sure. One of the things I like about Fulton is the swagger......however, statistically, over the course of a year its going to cost them a win. As good as they are, hope it isnt an elimination game. Go Fulton!!!
  8. Sorry Oak Ridge fans......think this one goes to DB by 7 in OT. DB had a close one last week and knows how to win, they just dont know how to score many points, so looking at a 14 - 7 DB win in OT. Harrrumphhhh......
  9. Fulton by 13.......... 20 - 7.......extra points are going to cost Fulton before the year is over. Nuff Said
  10. Upset of the week....... The Bulldogs treat DB like a fire hydrant. Bearden 27, DB 24.......
  11. Central 38 Halls 10. Doesnt seem to be what it used to be, anymore. A couple of breaks might make it intresting, after all it "IS" a rivalry game. Harrumph.....
  12. Hmmmmm....thought a 14-0 win for the opener against a 4-A team was kind of impressive. Claiborne County beat up on an inferior team (48-0) and Carter took on a larger school. Anyway, unless I'm mistaken, none of that matters, because they start a brand new game each Friday. From what I read, Claiborne is better and it sounds as if Carter is worse. Is the line at Carter in such a bad way and are there really that many problems? Still think this one falls to Carter. Saw them last year against Seymour and was impressed. Just dont believe it can change that much in a year. Wasnt planning to see Carter this early...are they playing at home??
  13. AC will keep it close for most of 2 quarters and then when everyone starts to get the hands on the hips, Rogan breaks loose. Happens time and time again. Speed kills. Blinding speed makes for a 4 TD win. Falcons by 24.....are they ever going to get a kicking game??
  14. A/E has the misfortune of playing 3 of the best 3A teams in the state to start the season. A third loss, which is probable, leaves them in the same situation that Fulton found itself last year. Every week is a playoff game, and as good as Fulton was last year, it wears on you. A/E is better than 0-3, but thats where they will be after this week. Good luck Roadrunners, .......and fire whoever made the schedule out for this year. Gotta be crazy to do it like this.
  15. Beware Notre Dame,....... Livingston Academy is a good football team. Not great, but good. And they never stop. They havent been beaten by more than a touchdown by anybody. Saw them beat a 9-1 Carter team and then two weeks later beat a 11-1 Catholic team. Livingston Academy doesnt overwhelm anyone, they just outlast you. A good group of athletes that beleive. I havent seen Notre Dame play but they better be ready to play 4 quarters of they too will falter. Really would like to watch this one..........
  16. Shame.......... And yes you do start taking a knee. Get a life, these are kids. I've seen Quarles have his kids back of as soon as the second quarter. It appears that Maryvilles little brother may have a good team, but lack in class. Nuff said
  17. How much of that does the good ole T$$AA get?
  18. This is going to be a good one. Maybe the best 3A game this year, at least this side of the state. I haven't seen Fulton play this year but they seem to be peaking at the right time and there may be a little chip on thier shoulder. Fulton is the defending State Champion and if they can beat Catholic like they did last week, they ARE for real. I watched Catholic just destroy Anderson County earlier in the year and to be honest, I felt like they would be the team to beat in 3-A this year. But, thats why they play 'em, and Fulton proved me wrong. I have seen Carter play and they are a good football team. Watched them beat a good Seymour team by just playing better all over the field. Carter is a very talented and balanced team and is going to present problems to whoever they play. For all you folks that think Region 2, 3A is so vastly superior, you need to get out more. I'm willing to bet that most of you guys haven't seen any of the Region 1 teams play? I've seen teams from both and they really do use the same football. I am definately going to watch this one Friday night and would not be surprised to see Carter win in a close game. Boy, don't you just love High School Football !!!!
  19. I saw A/E and Catholic play play and while I agree that these are both pretty good teams, you might want to be a little careful thinking Region 2 is going to sweep. I watched Carter beat Seymour pretty bad but I didnt think Seymour was that bad, I just thought that Carter was that good. Dont know much about the rest of either Region, but it could be more intresting than you think when the playoffs begin. Now, having said that, Catholic should still win the Region unless they have a meltdown and A/E is still 2nd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Fulton still has to beat Livingston Academy to make the playoffs. But, if they do win, they wind up 3rd and Livingston Academy is 4th. If Fulton loses, then Livingston Academy is 3rd and Anderson County is 4th. Right????? Makes the last week of the regular season fun, eh?
  20. Anderson County by 10. Then A/C is the #3 team in the Region.
  21. We shall see, we shall see. If Fulton wins, it shakes up this region bigtime. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm.......
