I think you should have listened to the history lesson a little better, Henry County may lose next week so if the springfield coaches want to see Henry county in the playoffs they better come see us in Paris next week, we will be playing then. LOL Could not help myself after hearing the Springfield coaches after the Henry county game say over and over and over that they would see us again in the playoffs, two first round exits, I can hear it now, the whining is happening, the jackets got screwed and Clarksville did not really beat them, Springfield coaches never give the winning team credit. Their players are sure to follow that and that will never win big games as someone has to step up and be a man for that program and say hey we got bested tonight.

Brighton is soft, no if ands or buts about it. they dominate poor teams and get dominated by good teams, this one is a toss up, I am going with germantown.

sorry folks, but West creeks improvement is a mirage, they won three of there last four, including wins over Rossview, Kenwood, and yes the always dominant Northwest program. Those three programs were a combined 3-21 in district play this year, rossview an kenwood both got victories over nw and kenwood beat rossview, West creek has given up 145 points agains Dickson, Springfield and Henry County, that is 48.5 a game, sorry WC, this one will be miserably cold and little interest in the second half to keep us in our seats, early exits for frozen fans tonight. I am sure Counce has the players ready for this playoff game but it will be more of a jv game in the second half, that is Henry COutny's jv versus West creeks jv caliber varsity. sorry but that is the way I see it. excellent athlete and a good kid, classic case of daddy knows more than the coaches, remove daddy from situation and you will truely enjoy this young man, he is fast, and is not afraid of contact.

i am not sure how brighton came into this conversation but they said the same thing a few years ago as they came to paris at seven and o on the season, at half it was fifty six to o, brighton is good agains soft teams but fold against physical teams.

THe problem that I see with the proposed system is thateveryone is complaining about playing tough competition in the first round, LOL, with four classes and two per district going there would be tough competition in every game, furthermore what is wrong with this system other than there is no way to know which quad you will be playing in, I mean there are 32 teams in each class that have a chance to settle lit on the field. Sure there are some flaws, but lets take the nfl system, a 10-6 team in one division can be left out while a 8-8 team gets in for winning a division, or even MLB same deal. There is not a system that is ever goign to seem fair, but as long as people know the specs up front then all is fair, I do think changing the system from year to year after schedulling has already been done is somewhat unfair as in Brentwoods case, last year they would have been rewarded and this year they were punished, but they are still in and if they deserve to be playing in the second round, tehy will be.

Let me get this right, if someone from quad three gets in the state title game and wins it then they are the best team in the state, however, if one of those teams gets in and loses or none of those teams make it then it is because of the seeding? It is the playoffs, what do you want a cake walk, then be that much better than your oponents, people complain about the pitiful schools making the playoffs but when that someone has to play a good opponent then they get upset. IF the top two teams from each district made the playoffs, there would be some tough match ups in the first round. Get over it and settle in on the field.

kevin, sometimes there is more than meets the eye, maybe our noseguard caused the center some problems that forced those center to qb exchanges, I am not sure, However on the ints, pressure and good coverage is just as much to blame for bad decisions on the qbs part, a nervous qb makes bad decisions and that was our Defense causing that, and as for the one forced you gave us half credit for, call it poor coaching or whatever for bad ball security but maybe the patriot defender saw the loaf of bread and knocked it lose on purpose. According to your thoughts, if a DE hit the arm of a qb getting ready to pass and has the ball in one hand, it should not be considered forced, just sloppy ball handling by the qb. I guess all the passes dropped that night by springfield had nothing to do with the big hits that the patrio D put on the receivers early in the game.

you are correct dont care, we lost to Gallatin last year, but our record over the last four years in the playoffs is 10-4 and Springfields is 1-2, and yes we have a tough road ahead of us too, Good luck to you guys,

Are you for real dont care, Your offense score on like 2 out of like 9 or 10 possessions, one was a punt return, that is like scoring on 20% of your possessions and you act as if it would have been automatic for you guys to go 80 yards on the Patriots defense, blame what you will, but the false start dealing was not what cost you the game, it was the Patriot defense that turned you guys over 6 times.

springfield players do not remember the lasttime they won in the playoffs but in was in 2006 and after that victory they lost to Clarksville. they are 2-4 this decade in the playoffs, 2-5 against Clarksville in the last decade, and before this season the last time Springfield beat Clarksville, Clarksville beat SPringfield in the playoffs the same season. I know both programs have new coaches, different teams but just a little history for some interesting reading.

I do remember west creek having as much speed as anyone we played (henry county), however NE has pretty good speed, as do we, Henry county is the dominant team in this district, and I hope everyone in our district wins this week except West Creek. Springfield let in be known that they hope to see us again in the playoffs, and Fairley said that for two years, and then they were careful what they wished for. Springfield is much improved and finished third in our district, they were 2-2 against teams with winning records. They are 0-3 against Henry County over the last two years.

there are definitely flaws in the system, but hey, there is 32 teams in the playoffs and all 31 have 0 points right now. To be a state champion, you are going to have to beat someone, I played when two teams per district (kentucky) went to the playoff, 8-2 and your season was over, if you are the better team then you will win. IT WILL BE SETTLED ON THE FIELD.

Milan is a very good football program, one of the best inthe state but not one that puts fear into anyone in any classification.

I am new to this game and I looked real hard last night for all the speed that Dickson was suppose to have. I mean Henry county is not loaded with speed but they were obviously faster last night. That was a block in the back on the punt return, the back of the shoulder pad is the back. Actually on the punt return Dickson got screwed but the refereee blew his whistle when the returner touched the ball, not sure what he was thinking but I am pretty sure the ball should have been punted again on an early whistle as no one had possession when the whistle blew. Henry Couinty jumped way ahead of Dickson county 3 years ago and Dickson has done nothing to close the gap, but still a very respectable program just not up to beating Henry COunty, they have been outscore 96-17 over the last three years. nough said

fyi last 3 meetings 07 hc beats dc 21-0 08 hc destroys dc 43-0 09 hc destroys dc 34-14 last three years hc has outscored dc 98-28, again meaningless info however, i am not sure that dickson thinks they can beat hc after taking thumping after thumping, those players remember 08 and 09 by averages of the last 3 years, looks like hc wins this one 33-9

all right strong side, common opponents lets get it out there in totallity dickson beat Kenwood 31-0 Henry county beat them 41-0 margin difference 10 for hc DC beat NW 48-7 HC 38-0 margin 3 for dickson dc beat springfield 21-20 HC 27-20 margin 6 for henry county dc beat west creek 34-21 HC 56-0 margin 43 for henry county dc beat NE 19-0 HC 24-14 margin 9 for dickson dc beat clarksville 10-7 HC 28-14 margin 11 for henry county with all the figures right there this is the tally against common opponents DIckson scored 163 and gave up 55 Henry county scored 214 and gave up 48 life with all the time it took me to type this, i just wasted 4 minutes of my life cause it is meaningless. Henry COunty offense has scored more against these opponents and have given up less to these opponents but the game thursday is at dickson and these previous games are meaningless. this one is for all the marbles. FYI Henry county has more speed.

Alright, I am beginning to see how KEvin is, he does not just give credit to those who deserve it he gives it to those that appear to be equal or better than his Jackets. How many times did he say that Kenwood was better than he thought? Well that would make West Creek pretty good. Neither is the case, both are bad and Kenwood is worse. I am not sure where that puts SPringfield as they inched by a Kenwood team that has been dismantled by West Creek. I do not put much stock in common opponent scores but the term better and Kenwood do not belong together. That was handy since the jackets almost lost to them. Please kev do not try to convince us that North West was a good team and Springfield just made them look bad. Kenwood has beaten a notthe same fort campbell team, a bad norht west team and An awful ROssview team, and they almost beat you, that is not even similar to a good team

let me repeat, there is no title run for springfield, they are officially 3rd or worse in the district. The winner of the HC-Dickson game is the district champ and the loser of that game is second, and everybody else is somewhere else. A title run to me means that a team is still in the running for the title, Springfield is not, this is not my opinion but it is a fact, Springfield can not win the district title unless Dickson or HC has to forfeit some of their wins. The run is over for Springfield for the district title, it ended when they lost two consecutive games to HC and Dickson and those two programs got to 6-0 in the district with two games to play. Any ties between springfield and either dickson or HC, will go to either Dickson or HC, no tiebreaker goes to Springfield. Kevin you are not my hero, and I will repeat again for you, Springfield is in no title run, they are in a 3rd place run.
