congrats to the tigers for making it this far. this is still no reason to be satisfied. you have to more games before accomplishing every team in the state's maing goal. a lot of people, including myself, didnt think you all could make it this far. a lot of things have fell in your favor and its time to take advantage of that. you have an opportunity to do something a lot of people dont get to. stay focused this week while preparing. Mayor better shut the town down friday night. GO TIGERS!!

Kingston has had the upper hand the past few years but i think that this year is a great opportunity for Rockwood to come out with a win. they get harness and jolley back so that has to be somewhat of a morale booster and probably makes that team better. this is also a good chance for rockwood to win because both teams are down when compared to years past. rockwood doesnt have a breazeale, peddicord, payne like they have in they past. kingston doesnt have a King, Sams (RIP), johnson that they have had in the past. so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top friday night. but ive got to go with my tigers. harness will have fresh legs and should be able to help lead the tigers to victory. plus its always good when u have the voice of the tigers MG on your side.

FINALLY.. TOOK HAS COME BACK TO THE ROCKWOOD FOOTBALL MESSAGE BOARDS!!!!!! its going to be a better season for the tigers than in years past. although they arent as talented as they have been lets say the past 5-8 years, this year they have the opportunity to win a lot of football games.. why you ask.. here are my top three reasons.. 1) No ALCOA 2) No CAK 3) No Loudon In the past, i think its safe to say that Rockwood has had some speed issues. they have never been the fastest bunch and have relied more on strength. but this year, rumor has it Coach John Webb will go away from the traditional ADIDAS cleats and has ordered everyone two pairs of PF FLYERS. Reno's was pretty upset about this but was thrilled when Rockwood ordered 46 tinted UnderArmor visors for alll of their helmets. its my understand that Coach K and Coach Newby will also be wearing these visors during the games. i have also heard rumors that they are putting in a new package entitled "THE RAGIN ASIAN" in witch the ball will be directly snapped to aaron morgan and he will be immediately off to the races.. with these two key factors, Speed and Intimidation taken care of, Rockwood should see greater results in their offensive attack. now to defense. Coach Jeff Allen is as mean as they come when preparing his players with the right mindset to hault the opposing team from "Pounding the Rock" this year instead of running your basic defense, ive heard that after the rockwood defense breaks the huddle, they will immediately surround the quarterback and running backs in the o so dreaded PIT!!! this will scared the offense so much that the ball will be fumbled and picked up by free safety JARED BREAZEALE and taken to the house. this is in fact if he runs in the right direction.. well folks there is my summary of the 2009 season. hope you all enjoy.

so much for everyone being entitled to their own opinion. i was simply answering the question. i believe that rockwood was a well below average team this year. i think many people would agree with me. to me, a team that is "by far above average" should have put rockwood in the ground. it took coalfield up to the 5th inning (?) to pull away from rockwood and only win by three. i dont call that well above average. and to you seeds and nuts, i didnt see you or any other coalfield players there last year, or the year before. . . so. good luck tonight and hopefully both coalfield and wartburg will advance

I was at the game and i was embarassed by both sets of fans. they both acted rude. as to who started it, im sure each team can argue the other. i will say that i wasnt very impressed with either team. once you got past Rockwoods first 5 hitters gettin outs wasnt very hard. none of coalfields players seemed to jump out either. in the past couple of years, region 1 has been the weaker opponent, but you never know. my advice to you seeds, you are probably a player who rarely plays, or a player that has already made reservations for murfreesboro. you just need to click the log off link and wait til the season is over until you make your next post. chances are you guys will probably make it to state, and when you do i wish you all the best of luck, but i have a bad feeling that it will end up like you alls first year in the lookout valley tournament. i wish coalfield and wartburg the best of luck. but answer the question everyone is wondering... coalfield is an average team at best.

rockwood has made it to state the past two years. harriman went last year. rockwood shut out the team they played in substate last year and run ruled the team in substate the year before. thats what im basing my statement on. but the past is done. good luck tigers.

Major props to Coach Witter and the Tigers. a lot of people counted them out this year. but they adapted and overcame and are now a win away from being back in the substate. and we all know about region1 ball.. best of luck to the tigers..

Congrats on Central winning their fourth district title. both teams played pretty sloppy throughout the game, but central overcame that and pulled away with big win. Lambert (spl?) couldnt get anything to fall for most of the game, but others stepped up around her and cancelled that factor out. congrats to her also on gettin tourney MVP. she is the leader of that team. both teams wil have to play a lot better if they want to play at the Boro. good luck to both teams.

if Cloudland wins their region, I believe Rockwood will get a home game regardless to whether they win/lose tonight because hosted a game last year and their gym was too small so they are on probation. something like that. good luck to rockwood and coach k tonight. play hard. play for your team. shock the world.. again.

he is playing ball at the college level so he must not be too bad. but what do i know, im an "idiot" and a "DA". i never said Central would be a bad team, i just figure since they lost two players that are now at the college level, they couldnt have improved much. Come May we will see who is right. you or the "idiot"

central lost two of their best players in Starr and Shaw. so i dont think they would inprove any. they are a solid team with a good coach. good luck.

the new coach (rockwood) is legit. he is very discipline which is something past rockwood teams have lacked. had he been here a year or two earlier helping with cofer, rockwood might have won the state. ive been down out the complex this year and he has them working hard. Skidmore is the leader of that team. they will go as he goes. true Rockwood graduated almost everyone last year, but they were left with ok to solid talent. nothing like last year, but they do have talent. i think if everything falls their way and they work hard, they can finish top two in district move on to region, win the first game, and boom.. right back in the substate. but we will see how that plays out. Coach Witter will have them ready.. good luck tigers.

great job by coach k and the tigers. way to come out ready to play. when raby fouled out, it looked like we were going to struggle with the half court press but they over came that and found a way. that group of guys play very well together. they did a good job getting slusher and one other player i cant remember in foul trouble. slusher also helped himself get into foul trouble with the technical in the first half. rockwood did a great job when grace did the "hack-a-shaq" i think they made all but 1 FT during that small span. overall it was a great job by the tigers and i wish them the best of luck all the way too. . . . . . . who knows..

never said he played against bad competition, dont know where you got that from. you can read me whatever is wrote in the books. people can write down hits that were really errors. all depends on the bookkeeper. no doubt he is a good player, but i still doubt he batted over .500 no matter how good you are at math. i still take skidmore. both are good players.
