  1. I was there. Instead of the Blue Raiders, y'all looked like Benny and the Jets!
  2. On SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2011, I remember the Greeneville fans chanting "We want Maryville", at the end of their game with Maplewood in Cookeville. Greeneville fans can get a little rambunctious sometimes. As we were waiting for them to clear out so we could find our seats, I noticed they had all sorts of homemade noise makers and cool contraptions they had brought to the game. We'll probably find out if AC is for real, but they have my attention after what they did to Heritage and then seeing how much Heritage scored against Cleveland.
  3. Actually, most were just messing with you when you were 91.
  4. The fight song lyrics have been around at least since the 1970's, probably longer.
  5. My little group at the game consisted of 3 WB grads and one Maryville grad. We had a good time. We entered the stadium, found our seats, spoke to the Gov Man, and saw a bunch of friends from both sides. I showed up in neutral colors, like I always do vs. WB. You seem to always look for the negative about other teams, and then you have unreal expectations for your team. I would love to see Maryville and WB be one and two in the District every year and fight it out like Oakland and Blackman. Why were you in front of the MHS student section anyway?
  6. You can tell the student section is "classless" via the radio? I have kids in that student section and you don't know a thing about them. You are one of the reasons Coach T people pick on WB!
  7. The hockey girl at PrepXtra has Farragut rated as the best team in the PrepXtra area (whatever that is). She includes Greeneville in her poll so it goes at least that far into the NET. 1. Farragut (6-0) - Andrew Williams' two pick sixes led the Admirals to a defensive win in Week 6. Last week: No. 1. This week: vs. Science Hill. 2. Maryville (5-1) - The Rebels looked more like the Maryville of previous years in a dominant win over Fulton. Last week: No. 3. This week: at William Blount. Buy Photo Fulton's Xavier Malone makes the throw under pressure from Maryville's Tyler Brooks on Friday, September 22, 2017. (Photo: SAUL YOUNG/NEWS SENTINEL) 3. Fulton (5-1) - The Falcons had a tough time getting to the end zone and suffered their first loss at Maryville's hands. Last week: No. 2. This week: vs. Carter 4. Catholic (3-3) - The Fighting Irish couldn't compete with Division II powerhouse Brentwood Academy. Last week: No. 4. This week: vs. Rhea Co. (Thur) 5. Alcoa (4-2) - The Tornadoes escaped a close game with Dobyns-Bennett. Last week: No. 5. This week: at Northview Academy. 6. Anderson County (6-0) - The 4A Mavericks made a statement by blowing out 6A Heritage 56-17. Last week: No. 8. This week: vs. East Ridge. 7. Greeneville (5-0) - Cade Ballard averages 216 passing yards per game for the Greene Devils. Last week: No. 6. This week: at Sullivan Central. 8. Powell (5-1) - Walker Trusley threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for another two. Last week: No. 7. This week: at Campbell Co. 9. Austin-East (5-1) - The Roadrunners beat Halls by a convincing three scores. Last week: No. 9. This week: at Scott. 10. Coalfield (6-0) - Parker McKinney accounted for four touchdowns in Week 6, two passing and two rushing. Last week: No. 10. This week: at Midway.
  8. They spell it different. It's one of those homonyms that ole what's his name was talking about.
  9. I never understood putting a stadium at the Middle Schools. Just put in a practice field and use the rest of the money to upgrade WB and play all of the games there.
  10. What amazes me about that number, (776) 250 belong to George. What amazes me even more, Gary has 401. That's more than some schools.
  11. KCHS is in their own little hybrid public/private subsidized world.
  12. I'm gonna sit on the visitors side this year.
  13. That feller who went to both schools and didn't play football at either one, called it!
  14. I would, but dumb ole photobucket changed their terms on hosted photos.
  15. Ole Blazer is still at it. (This is not the official thread)
  16. Imagine 1 :to form a mental image of (something not present) imagine accidents at every turn 2 archaic :plan, scheme 3 :suppose, guess I imagine it will rain 4 :to form a notion of without sufficient basis :fancy imagines himself to be a charming conversationalist
  17. He could have gone back in against Alcoee. This is one of the things I like about our staff. Just like the Oakland game, this game was only for pride. They look at the big picture a realize it's a playoff sport. We need him more for the stretch run, and the backup is getting quality time.
