In High School there is always 8 men in the box. If the line played well it would not have been a problem. If you watched the game. The TE was continually getting beat off the corner, or the WR missed his block off the END. Never stopped people from running the ball before. PLus When Guidrey got into the game, He is untested. You do not throw him into the fire and hurt any confidence he has before he gets his feet wet.

Now why bring up Father Ryan in this conversation? Father Ryan Is a catholic school and anyone can go there for a price. So why are they being mentioned?

Considering, I know that Jeff Jarrett and his Father sponser 2 scholorships and Plus 2 former Vanderbilt basketball players(Father and son) I know for a fact his Father paid for Ron Mercer to goto the School. So I know for a fact they give scholorships. It is all how it is worded in the system.

Faith, Their was nothing wrong with the play calling this past week(Franklin). It was a lack of execution. It is a wake-up call for the Irish to see what they are made of.

Do not forget the addition of Nashville Christioan, David Lipscomb, Ezell Harding, Goodpasture, Not to mention those you listed. There are a total of 20+ private schools playing in DI. If they all move it would be a complete change in how things are done. Remember it is not all about who recruits and who doesn't. Travel expenses would be covered because private schools bring a crowd to games and OPublic does not usually bring that big of a crowd.

Ryan wins by out coaching the Rebels. Plain and simple. Franklin is not as deep or as tough. Franklin is not a disciplined team as Ryan. Go Irish

Being a Grad of Father Ryan. I was happy to see how Hard they are playing. I did not see that the past 8 years. I by no means are calling for a state championship. It takes more than one season to win that. But, Good things will happen when a team plays that HARD. Go Irish

The TSSAA are a bunch of gutless wonders. They are scared to force all private schools into DII. If They force all Private Schools into DII we would not be discussing the problems with WHo goes back to DI or travel expenses. The Issue at hand is No one really wants to face the big 7 in any fassion. That includes Father Ryan, Football is not the only sport people should look at. Instead of faceing KY in the TN/KY all-star football game. WHy not have DI vs DII. or combine the 2 divisions and go back to faceing everyone. This debate has been going on to long for the TSSAA not to address the issue. If you are a private school you give some type of financial aid. Either through your church or scholorship. Every Private school should have the courage to play in DII.

Those were scrimmage games. I am sure Father Ryan will compete for a top spot in D2 soccer. I am not by any means syaing they are going to win it. I just know Robin Dietrick will have the Irish in contention

Metro needs to Put a school in Bellevue. As for Dupont closing, they still could not support their own school. Hillwood is and has been a big disappointment in athletics because the principle does not support Athletics. They have had coach leave that were better qualified than the ones he brings in. Look at the wrestling program. There is one good example. Janet congrats on 25 years of graduation. I have two friends in your class at Hillwood.

Just to fill you in. Ever since Ryan lost out on Vanderbilt people are very excited about a new stadium. And money will be comeing in to build it very soon. I kow I wrote my check for it.

I am not sure how they will do record wise. D-II AAA is the toughest division in any district in the state on Tennessee. I know this, With the coaching additions and the increase of talented freshmen and sophmores. Their record may not be as good as the talent on the field. But you can back on this. With the approval of a Stadium at the school. The future is bright.

I am lost here. Is NCS, Nashville Christian? Is the coach one Chuck Anderson. if this is the school we are talkign about he is not an idiot. Maybe you should iknow he is one excepptional coach and person and father. Maybe you are an idiot who thinks this. Coach Anderson has probably coach more games than you have played in and watched more games than you have been alive for.

In Defense of Paula Jackson, who is not only a very good coach but a wonderful person. Do not trash someone who is giving their heart and soul to a program for what happened. If anyone is to blame it is the parents who made a 17 yr old girl make a choice that she was not ready to make. When AAU runs a program ( Coaches with a Lack of brains ) It is a choice not good for everyone involoved. I would want someonewho is pashionate about every sport they play. let one sport finish before you start up another. It is like playing soccor year round at the age of 8. It may not be there best sport but it is the only one you are letting a child play. Parents should understand more college coaches ask High school coaches opions on things then they do AAU. Colleges want to know how they interact not only inside the classroom but also on a team enviroment. So do not blame Paula blame the parents of the child that let her make a desicion she was not up to makeing. GO Paula

Even though all these names are being thrown out there. I think you need to look at 2 more. One is a BGA graduate in O.J. Fleming, he is on the current staff and a very good coach as well as a great communicator with kids. Another name who has been positioning himself for the past 6 months for a move back to Middle TN is Kurt Page a former coach at BGA. so do not forget to add them to your list.

Bald Coach, So is it safe to say you coach at a private school? And you say that your school does not recruit kids to attend your school? Well any school that has an admissions department recruits. any school that has a entrance axam recruits. so what is your beef. It is a statement that is not only positive but is accurate.
