If anyone knows highschool football, they know that maryville had a 100 times harder schedule than Morristown west did and they won almost all of their games with a large spread. Morristown West has had a cake walk schedule this year and it would be sad if a team like Mo West wasnt undefeated right now. Maryville has played teams that could be state champs if they werent in that region, and then morristown west is playing teams such as johnson county?, Cocke County?. Maryville will win this one easily. I see them by at least 2 touchdowns! Maryville-42 Mo West-28

If maryville is to get beaten this year it will not be this week. They are going to come out firing. I see them having an amazing game against central again if central can beat Red Bank this week. I think that that game could be the best one you will see in the playoffs all year if it happens. Good luck to all east tennessee teams though. East tennessee brings home the gold in at least 4 regions this year!!!!!

honestly there is no right size for rb in high school football i mean look at powells starting running back right now hes small, but he is extremely athletic and knows how to run. One thing that you got to have over everything is knowledge about the position you want to play because everyone has some amount of talent, but not everyone knows how to play there position in high school football. Thats what makes an athlete stand out at this level.

What i dont get is why people are even remotley talking about maryville losing a game to powell. It doesnt really matter how good powell is in my opinion because maryville has not given anyone a reason all year to think that they could get beat. There has not been one game this season that they didnt play up to expectations and I bet it stays that way for the rest of the post season. I just dont see the maryville coaching staff even giving powell or whomever for that matter a chance to win the game. Maryville wins big over powell!! Maryville 42 Powell 21

hthe reason that all of those teams were dropped was so that they could have an easier chance to win and the only reason they picked up AE was because that was the only team that was still available to play that week. and thank god karns played them early when they were having problems!! but the comments on the karns guys being dirty i think it goes both ways with each team during that game. I have played for karns recently when tony elder was there and i remember CCs players (while we were in the pile punching him and calling him a Ni&$!!! And we when we played at CC two years ago i remember that the crowd brought out the rebel flag in the stands and if im pretty sure your mascot has nothing to do with the rebel flag so there is really no excuse for that being there. So on your comments about the karns team i think that they can only be said back to you about CC!!!!!

CCd i have to disagree with you completely on that one. I played at karns and there is nothing more that any of us cared about during season than football. Just because the reoord of some teams arent so good that doesnt mean they dont care. And honestly its bad to say this but this is sometimes the biggest game of the season. Both teams are usually looking for their first win when this game comes around.

The playoffs in 1-5a and 2-5a are not set in stone yet but the playoffs mainly look like this: Farragut or OR vs. Bearden OR or Farragut VS. Science Hill Ooltewah VS. Sevier County William Blount VS. Dobbyns Bennet What are you predictions on the games and who will win there after. Give em He!! in the playoffs boys!!!

well i will put my 2 cents in i guess. This game has no implications in it what so ever and both teams seasons are over at the end of this game. It is disapointing to see both of these teams not make it to the playoffs this year after being the 2 and 3 seeds last year. It actually seemed like these two teams might have been turning something around. Even though the beavers might end up with a better record this year they had an extremely cupcake schedule compared to the years before. The dropped Powell, Farragut, and West for Cumberland County, Austin East, and Morristown East. Then is seems like Campbell County just completely fell off of the map this year. Who knows though maybe it will be a good game? Karns- 28 Campbell Co-13

I have seen both of these teams play this year and DB is the far better team. Even though the record of SH is impressive i still dont see this being a good one. SH had to play from behind against karns at their own home. Then DB goes to beavers stadium and really never gives them a chance. Also karns has been known to play their best on their own field. I just see DB waxing the floor with this team. The score will be closer than what the game actually will be. DB-27 Science HIll- 10

For some reason i am pulling for the admirals in this one i just think that they have had an outstanding year. I didnt expect them to be this good this year. I want farragut to win but i would like to see Oak Ridge in the state final against Riverdale, because in my opinion they are the only team that has a standing chance against that team. I am just wondering why this thread has completely went to crap. No one cares about any 2 members personal vendeta between eachother.(Not stating any names). You guys are the reason threads get ruined. If you are goin to put somethin down put it on the topic maybe. Basically what i am sayin is just SHUT UP!!! The game will be a hard fought game the beavers didnt look to well against halls and jeff county played better than my expectations were last week. i agree completely on the stupid call of going for two. That is the third out of the last four years that karns has almost beaten bearden. They have went into over time with them twice and then lost by 1 point this year. Dont get me wrong bearden has deserved the wins as much as anyone but when is karns going to get an actually decent coach. They were on the one inch line last year with around a minute to go and coach fulkerson doesnt let the boys go for it. He decides to kick a field goal twice because there was a penalty on the first missed kick and that sent the game into over time where karns eventually lost. I still go with a karns win in this one but im making my score closer. karns-21 halls-20

this game is goin to be interesting. The beavers are a run first and pass only if you have to team. Halls is more of a balanced team that can do both. If halls finds a way to stop all of the misdirection plays that karns has installed this year it will be an easy win. But if karns defence comes to play than i see this game going to them. It will be close but one of these teams will pull away in the fourth. Karns-27 Halls-17

halls is running a extremely clean offence right now that helped them compete against an amazing central team. I also saw west game against webb it was sloppy from both sides but i saw some high points on the west defence this will be a closer game but i think that halls will pull away with this one in the fourth. most recently from karns would have to be ryan houston he never seemed to stop even after the play was over you always had to look over your shoulder during practice with him around

it seems that this year is a year of eather suprises(carter, loudon, halls) or it is the complete opposite for other teams(fulton, A-E). Is it because of their graduated classes or is it just that the other teams just got that good without them impoving also? ive just been wondering which teams in the knoxville area seemed to lose the most talent and who has the best senior class. comments?

Fulton is always going to have a good football team, but this is definetly a down year for these boys. That amazing talent had to run out sum time and this seems to be the year. Fulton will win games but they are not going to be the fulton of the past two years. Good job also to alcoa, blowing out the defending state champs in 3a is always something to brag about no matter what the sercumstances are.

should people be suprised by this? Is karns better than what people think. the past 3 years karns has been the under dog in almost every game they play. but the thing is is karns has beaten many powerhouses the past 3 years(jeff county, DB, AE, Sevier County, Science Hill, Powell). But it seems to me that there is always a excuse for losing to them such as "the refs are racist" to "we just had a huge off game." Im just wonderin when the excuses are goin to end and these boys are going to get some recognition. Should karns deserve some respect or is all of these games just a huge fluke every year. what is your opinion on the matter?
