  1. Well, I'll probably just go Scrapbooking. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I'd like to travel back to South Pitt and watch them take on Friendship. The drive wasn't too long, except going home after a TC loss.
  2. That is ridiculous. You can bet if I were that parent I would be fired up about that. Glad to hear the young man is OK.
  3. Thanks, MO$$$$, we are improving each week. Might just make a name for ourselves soon. Too bad they didn't get into the groove until the half. I really wish we had more fans on CoachT. I'll try my best to drum up some posters. It's so fun, but sometimes I spend too much time on here.
  4. Tell 'em to head on to Cookeville and be a part of the Golden Eagles team. I'll go watch them at Homecoming. That's my other Alma Mater. Didn't even have to change school colors -- until my daughter started at Silverdale.
  5. So proud of those Seahawks. Thanks for the compliment. And they have loads of respect for your Pirates.
  6. It'll be a good one, but I think that G'ville takes it, if only by a slim margin. I know, I know, reg. season gets thrown out the window when it comes to playoff, but Silverdale played LV very closely in reg season. If these boys come out like it looks as though SD did in 2nd half last night, you'll have a fight on your hands. Go G'ville. LV, have a safe trip to the Jungle. Hope both teams have a good, injury-free game.
  7. Sorry about your loss, T-BELLE. I though yours was the best match-up of the 1st round. I figured it would be a REALLY close game. May have been better than the score showed, though. You know how that can sometimes happen. You're playing a great game then, pow, one or two mistakes. That can hurt anybody. Good luck next season, except for TC, of course. But hey, if you win again, you should get some three-peat shirts made up. They'd sell like hotcakes.
  8. #1JacketFan - It was good to see you and some more of the fam last night. Too bad it didn't end on a higher note. Just glad they could hang as tightly as they did with the Pirates. Looks like next year we'll see a tougher Jackets team. Not meant as a offensive comment - I just mean older, wiser, kinda like me. Oh, and more experienced. SP game sure gave them alot in that area. Should help them going into next season. Come on down to SP again and we'll go too. We can eat together. Know you'll be going somewhere a littler closer to home. But let me know...
  9. Congrats to Friendship last night. I had a feeling you'd pretty much smoke Grace. Now you get to head to South Pitt. Good luck, I'll be cheering my region 4 on. If you don't bring your "A" game, it's over and it'll make for a long night. But I'm sure you'll be very prepared. Should be another good match-up. I ought to come watch since I'm so close. Honestly, though, it's been about 6 weeks now that I've said that SP more and likely wins the state. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Fast, big, hard-hitting. But stranger things have happened than them being upset. Good luck to both teams. Have a safe, injury-free game. FC travel safely.
  10. Congrats on your win G'ville. I can start supporting region 4 again. Good luck next week. SD, seems as though you gave them quite a fight, esp. after half-time. Congrats on your season. Keep working hard and soon people will know what we're about! And, was it loud? Hope you took your horns.
  11. Zone - I'm sure it's been there since you joined CoachT, but I get why you call your beloved town Speed Pittsburg. Man, ya'll had some last night on the field. Some times last night I thought the score was a pretty good reflection of how the game was going, but there were other times when I thought that you should have been about, oh say, 35 point ahead. What a battle. Just glad we could hang with you. Congratulations. I've been saying for a while now (about 6 weeks now), along with some other folks, that you have the goods to take it all the way to M'Boro. Now I see it even more. Good luck the rest of the season. I'm so glad I got to watch my Jackets this week. You never gave up and played your all. Played with all your heart. You should be proud of that game and your season. Good luck to all you seniors in whatever you do in the future.
  12. SD, have a safe trip to and from G'ville. Don't let the huge crowd intimidate you. Region 4 is die hard, fans and all. It'll be packed and loud. Trust me, I know from experience. Hope the fan bus is full and the stadium is full on the visitor's side. And sorry I won't be on it. Gotta go support TC this week in South Pitt. They're way too close for me not to go. Haven't seen them play all year. Play hard and play well. G'ville is very prepared.
  13. Thanks to PURPLEandGOLD, sportman, and zonepirate for help in directions to the stadium. My wife read on internet that they were building a new stadium, and I thought the stadium and schools might be at two separate locations. That's the way it was at TC when I played there many years ago (under Clint's Dad). However, if the stadium and the school are at the same location, that makes it easy, and sportman's directions ought to get me there. Not to stir the pot more, but FCS, I didn't take this post as rude at all. Maybe I'm just stupid or naive. I just read that you were saying that the field is still not on the new school site. True. And the Tobacco Bowl was awesome back in the day. I remember having to march every home game from the band room at the back of the school to the stadium. The percussion section would have to play the entire time. It really was a neat part of the game night atmosphere. Then we'd have to walk back after the game. Good times. I was thinner then - all that exercise!! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  14. Yes he does!!!Go Seahawks. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Well, maybe we can play dodgeball or red rover and you can be the PE teacher. Or you can choose to sit on the sidelines and video. That would make us the winners of America's Funniest Home Videos!!! Is that even on anymore? And thanks for coming to the game. I feel sure you won't be surprised by an upset in your neck of the woods.
  16. It seems as though we can't agree on the outcome of this game. Some SP posters seem to think we shouldn't even show up - it'll be decided by halftime. Some TC posters think TC has SP's # and will show them that we are the best region and will pull a sweep. Then there are the ones from both teams who think it's anybody's game. That's definitely where my opinion falls. Now, I propose we CoachT posters set up some sort of wager. I'm not great with ideas so help me think something up. Ex. If SP wins, all TC posters strip to their scivvies (sp?) and run on the field saying "South Pitt is the greatest. We should never have doubted you could take us in one quarter with your JV team. We must bow to greatness." Then go get a burger ( boosting SP economy) with their new SP gear, provided by ZonePirate and Pirate Mike. And shaving cream their cars on the way home that the Jackets stink and SP rules. If TC wins, all SP posters must drive to the next TC pep rally in their TC gear, provided by me, #1Jacketfan, Grunt, and Ole3Putt, where they must tell the entire student body "I'm not smarter than a Jacket" They must then head to the Creekbank where they are required to go swimming in Little Goose Creek as they walk the plank of the S.S. YellowJacket. As they head out of town, they can eat at one of our fine establishments. A boost for our economy. I would even pay extra for the festivities. Anyway, this is stupid. Just a thought. Anyone have better ideas?
  17. Praying for the Pickett family to be surrounded by God's peace and strength. That has to be one of the worst things ever. I can't imagine. There was a 37 yr-old mom in our church who lost her dad about 5 weeks ago. She did the eulogy. She passed away 2 days later. The only thing that can sustain us is knowing that God causes all things to work for good. This may cause someone to straighten out their life or even be saved. It sure doesn't seem good to us, but God is so much bigger than what we can wrap our brains around.
  18. I don't hate you. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Yes, we all (reg. 4) should have earned the respect of each other. Did you see all the different scenerios for playoff position leading up to the LAST regular season game? I believe there were 15 different ways it could have gone - some a very long stretch, albeit, but we all knew that nothing was a sure thing til the last buzzer of all the games. I also have tons of respect for South Pitt. I'm looking forward to this game, but will not say we'll smoke 'em, 'cause we won't. This game is anybody's. They won't quit til the end. Also, H2O/LV will probably tight. Anyway... good luck Jackets.
  19. I'll be cheeing for 1 region 3 team - the Seahaks. Three region 4 teams will have my support - still in love with middle TN.
  20. Easy there, Grunt. But you're right, the chance is slim to none that we take this game. But the program is really young and I see us making a name for ourselves soon. That's when you'll start seeing people coming on and posting. Maybe. Anyway, I'm a die hard TC fan - grew up there, and am pulling for region 4 except this game. Sorry, got a 1st grader at SD. Trying to get involved in all things school-related. But I can pull for you again next week, G'ville. Will be in SP this Friday. Can't wait to see my Jackets.
  21. Yes, me. And Nickabrick. That's about all. They don't get on coacht and post too much. And probably not too many will travel to G'ville, though I hope they surprise me and fill the visitor stands and have to stand at the fence.
  22. Rooting for Monterey, for my region 4 boys. After a tough loss to FC that ended their playoff hopes, they'll be there ready to play, ready to fight for the win. Good luck.
  23. Don't know too much about this match-up, but wanted to post a compliment to Hampton. Hampton fans were awesome to us TC fans last year leading up to and at the TC vs. Hampton game. Didn't it snow that day or something? I've not seen the rude and crude posts this year by our fans, thankfully. Have a good and safe game. Good luck to both teams. Hope it's injury free. Flashback - I remember years ago TC travelling to Coalfield. Haven't seen that match-up in a long time.
