That has to be one of the ugliest fields in Tennessee. I am looking forward to coming up "yander" to Greene County and watching my JCHS Pats put a thrashing on the Devils. Mcfall this, McFall that, he isnt even our best player!!! Wow, I would hate to be on the Devils football team this year knowing that the first ever game played on the schools new turf (which is ugly) was a loss and I couldnt do a thing about it. That one will always haunt them. Anyways, good luck to both schools, and please dont get to down on yourselfs when things turn out bad for ya'. Anyways, from what I hear the Devils QB is an outlaw and though has a strong arm has a weak mind. Didnt he get kicked off the team? Just what I heard, not stating facts here. I really dont see Greeneville beating JC on the account that they are obviously looking past the Patriots. Everything posted on here seems to be Greeneville by a landslide, and Im not buying it. When you look past JC, you get hit in the mouth. I know from covering local football for the past 26 years. Will it be a good game? JCHS has really turned around. They are heading back to the Patriot football of old at 100mph and if it werent for the turnovers, could very well be undefeated right now. Look forward to the Patriots to beat Karns and possibly win out going into the Bearden game. I think the team has done a heck of a job and IMO, if they make playoffs.....watch out because they could be a team that shocks some folks. (example: 1996). GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Jefferson County Freshman are playing like a small college team! I know that I may be a former Patriot, so Im gonna be showing favoritism towards my old school, but I will say that if there is a freshman team out there that is better than the Patriots, I have got to see them play because they would have to be unbelievable!! JCHS has a few players that could very well be D1 prospects. Im looking forward to what these players will develope into over the next three years. If they live up to their potential, JCHS may be the next Maryville.

And Id give you and warlock an F, for FOCKING STUPID!!!! Give me a break, we have overachieved big time...considering we lost the starting QB and most of the line. We won 3 games last year (did you forget?), and we are running a brand new offense this year with a first year starter at QB!!!! How could anybody say that we have underachieved!!!! We, when I say "we" I mean 1 or two players, hang on to the football.....and yeah, we could be undefeated right now!!! Still yet, we have overachieved very much so!!!! Up 14-0 on DB in the 1st qtr, we had a turnover, and go braindead on one def series and boom, theyre right back in the game!!! As far as the coaching goes....how could you not give it an A+??? Offense is great, Deffense is great, Special teams is great!!! For a first year coach with a 3 win team that lost a lot of kids, id say he and his staff have done one heck of a job!!! By the way, JC4Life, please never let me know who you are so that I can come to your house and smash your computer over your gay head!!! PLEASE!!! D.A.!!

The only logical statement you have ever posted. If JCHS wins, everyone will get to read about how solid of a team you say they are, and if they lose im sure you will find a way to talk bad about the coaching. What a BUM!

Blah, Blah, Blah. Im not asking for repect on my opinion. I could care less about what people think about me on here. Im just telling YOU that you are a bonehead! That Morristown East guy is just as bad! I think you guys must be secret lovers. Joy and sunshine all the time? Maybe if we had more positive post than negative, it would reflect on the players and coaches in a good way! When I watched them play I saw alot of good things, you saw a lot of bad things! You talk like you know something about JCHS, when you have absolutely nothing to do with the program! How do I know that, because if you did you would be more positive about it! JC4life you are a menace to Jefferson County and I am ashamed and angry that there are numbskull internet jokers like you roaming around knowing nothing about the players or coaches except what you see on friday nights and the occasional practices that you may/may not attend. You are not a true Patriot, you know nothing about football, and need to learn how to keep your mouth shut. Anyone on coacht that thinks JC4life knows anything about the program, you have been mislead. DZ knows whats going on and other than that I dont know. At least DZ wont put down the coaching staff. As far as my comments go on the blowout win over Greeneville, im not sorry that I typed it because all it did was made the victory taste even better for the Devil fans and players. Congrats to the Devils, they have a heck of a ball team and I think they could be set for a very special year. We made too many mistakes and couldnt get a break because of it. We have a good ball team, and I know that we will be fine. The coaches have done a tremendous job on getting the new offense and deffense installed so quickly. The play calling was great. Trust the coaches, thats why they are the coaches and we are the fans. Good luck to Greeneville and I have no excuses for losing except for the simple fact that we got beat. Well.....all joking aside, its just too close to kickoff for me to make any kind of ignorant statement so Im going to get right to the point. If you're a GHS fan, you should'nt be "fired up".....You should be scared out of your mind! You are coming into Dumplin Valley, where football ghosts of the past roam through the hills and the sounds of pads exploding can sometimes be heard echoing in the valley at night! The best thing that you could do is just have your team stay home so that they dont get hurt. Tonight.....is gonna be really, really ugly. Lopsided. Blowout. Hi, my name is Morristown West Trojan and I get off on thinking that I come from a very dominate football program..... Its just great how we (11 strong) trojans beat up on such powerhouse programs like Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, Cherokee, and of course one of the most frightening schools....COCKE COUNTY. Come on man...you cant be serious? True, you have 200 players year in and year out....You have had a few good seasons....and you even have a McDonalds and somewhat of a so-called shopping mall....seriously, the only good looking anything in hamblen county this year is the new field. Catholic is gonna really knock you off of your horse. West is awful this year and East is even worse. Guess what, JCHS and Greeneville will both beat you and beat you bad this year. WHAT? NOT THE TROJANS? WE NEVER LOSE!!!! Yeah, you do. As a matter of fact, before JCHS and Greenville went through their coaching changes over the last 8 years, you always lost. You were the easy game of the schedule to both schools. Have fun watching old highlight tapes of your "glory days" when you really dominated such good teams and got destroyed by maryville every year. First of all, what teams are you implying are going to be the same as last year? Not Morristown West, Not JCHS, Not Maryville.... Tell me please because I would like to know. As far as Greeneville goes, I havent seen them play but I hear that they have a pretty solid football team. However I also heard they are going away from the Greeneville of old and plan on running a 4-wide against JCHS in week 0. Im no football genius but I know that unless you have a very solid QB, spreading the offense out and tossing the ball around is just something that doesnt work in high school football. Im not knocking on Greeneville's QB, I just havent heard of him. True, they did run over Morristown East (a down Morristown East team from last years team that couldnt beat a young JCHS last season) in the jamboree, but its hard to tell about teams during the jamboree. JCHS has some experienced athletes in the skill positions and some BIG backs might I add. They have a new coach that has re-established the Veer offense which use to be JCHS's bread and butter and is a very productive offense IMO. I dont know how Greeneville's Defense is, but I do know that the Patriots are very capable this year to stuff it right down opponents throats. If JCHS has their way with the Devils Def front, I just dont see the Devils getting the upper hand if they do run a 4-wide set. Remember, this is being played in Dumplin Valley and the Patriots have a lot to prove. Good Luck to both teams. My prediction: JCHS 28 Devils 7 GO VOLS!!! BEAT CAL!!!!

Can DZ or anybody on here do me a favor and post the complete schedule for the Varsity. I saw the freshman schedule, but I would like to have the varsity. Oh, and I agree......Long will be fine at QB. The veer does usually call for your best athlete at QB, but having Mcfall change positions is just too dangerous to take a chance on not getting his full potential and big gain playmaking. He is a tailback, and a good one at that. With Long running the option and having Mcfall, Brooks, Allen, etc...etc... to give to, they have a chance to be solid on Offense. It will take some time, but once the Veer clicks, and they learn it, watch out because they will take the ball right down your throat. GO PATS!!!!

Im an idiot "plan" and simple? Maybe you should learn how to spell before you start name calling. Softball has been great the last 10 years, baseball always has a good team, soccer keeps getting better, wrestling has produced state champions and is always tough, football has only had some bad seasons lately because of the coaching changes. Its hard to keep parents and kids happy when things keep changing. And the wole thing about Hutch, he is a fine coach and was fresh when he was here. Thats why people got frustrated with him (and the fact that he didnt have much to work with). Anyways, Im proud to say that he has done a great job where he is at now and lil' Ricky is also doing his part. Obviously the pay isnt as good in JCHS because it is in fact Jefferson County. We cant pay like Knox County schools pay. If we could, GQ may have came instead of SM back in the day. Im sick and tired of hearing people in the community complain about it. If you want more money given to the coaches, then how about pitching in a little yourself. Our county cant even decide on a plan for our overcrowding schools, let alone afford any of the plans that have been brought up.....so how are we supposed to boost the pay of a head football coach? JA wanted it, he lives it, and knowing him its more of a pride thing instead of a money thing.....we have the right man for the job and JCHS will be back on top! Honestly yes I do and Ill tell you why. This is the first coaching staff, as long as no one else is hired, that works well together since the late 90's. Everyone respects each other and all have a solid 80's 90's background as far as what JCHS is supposed to be. True, there are a few not from the area, but as far as I know from getting to know them, they do a great job. We will see a great turn around this year. Believe it. However, great fans make a great football team. Our fanbase isnt what it was in the 80's and 90's. Complainers and crybaby's now-a-days. If the fans come back, and get their back....JCHS will be a powerhouse once again. GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Hutchins? If you were a terrible coach and got a friendly firing, you would be mad too. Delozier is a great man, not a high school football coach. And who has done so well from JCHS other than GQ? Exactly. Not all great players make great coaches.
