Well, well looks like a few of us are back at any rate! How the thumpin' feel from Hillsboro at play day? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> The secret ingrediant (maybe not so secret) for the Might Kitties last year was Chelsea Burroughs, so y'all better hope you replace her. Other thing is that JC has to respond to last year's injury...these knee things can be tricky as you know. MJ will be young and hungry and over achieving this year, I hope everybody looks past them! Looking forward to another dominant performance from 9AAA this year. Metroman are the Lady Bears back in y'alls house again this year (Leroy Wright tourney)? Go Lady Bears!

Well, well, well - who knew? Congrats to The Mighty Kitties! 2 out of 3 ain't bad, and 3 out of 4 for Wilson County. Some of the accolades should go to the West Wilson Basketball Association, without a doubt! I was there you WC fans, to support the county...Section E seat 12 (mid-court facing the scorers bench) so yes I popped out $15 bucks for the cause /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> For the game itself - boring! But I know you will take the win...maybe it's time to go to the shot clock after all. Bud was not going to let anybody take a shot except Jasmine (Miss AAA!) and Coachgat was daring WC to beat Millington with anybody else! This was Jasmine's victory almost single handed. WC played all 5 starters the entire game, but as everything was slow down - everybody was fresh! Very impressed at times with Millington's shooting and playset...gotta come up with a 3 point threat though. The Lady Trojans could have very easily won this thing - just some bad execution at the wrong time - especially the mid-court pass JH stole. There was a missed call as noted from Millington's posts on the up and down..we are still scratching our heads about that miss. But in my evealuation this did not cinch the win one way or the other...the Trojans had chances to win. Chelsea B, I am glad you got the Gold Ball you missed out on at Mount Juliet - good luck at the next level. So enjoy WC! Well speed does kill, but the Mighty Kitties face Mt. Juliet 4 or 5 times a year (probably 10 times within a 12 month period) and the full court press is a MJ trademark. Must hit your shots at any speed! WC should slow it down, slow it down, slow it down and go to Miss Hassel Good Luck WC

Congrats to the Lady Blue Devils for an outstanding year. I have witnessed Lebanon climb from the very bottom (I caught some of the Freshman games of this Senior class against MJ) to this marvelous result.... Wilson County is PROUD OF YOU!

I love it! Hasell is the real deal at Post, can also be counted to help out moving the ball against the press. Chelsea Burroughs is a very talented guard (better as a 2 or 3) who has the speed to slash, and is a polished three point shooter (and a MJ transfer!) A bunch of the squad has a Gold Ball, and will be able to handle the bright lights and pressure - a big question is how WC responds without their PG, Jesse Christopher (another MJ transfer by the way). With all due respect McGavock was not as strong a test at sub state.

What can I say?? Congrats to Smyrna and WC, 9AAA swept Regions and Sub States. Good luck, and will we see an all - 9AAA Final?

Everybody is giving way too much credit to the "legendary" coach(es) at WC...Bud's biggest contribution to each game is the over/under we have for throwing his jacket! Maybe the WC's coaches best moment was last year in sub-state against Antioch with the best team WC has ever had....that was coaching! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I kid, I jest.... Hoo Hah! I love it, I am a celeb!!! Sorry to disappoint all, but if you knew me you know how much I travel. Be it known when I am on the road I talk up our great Women's preps in Tennessee, District 9AAA in particular, and The GREAT MJ Lady Bears specifically!! So, that being said to all my friends and fans out there - I think you will note I stand up for the girls win or lose. Smyrna played a great game against us and props to them for adjustments made from the previous game. EP finally played in control (not wildly out of control as in previous matches...she always looked as if she had more to prove against Becca Sharpe than interest in winning the game.) My advice is to learn that lesson for the sub-state and don't pull a WC vs. Antioch and get caught looking. Dymon played her best game against the Bears. Also - and most importantly - the Bears just did not shoot the ball, plain and simple. BUT, once again congrats to the Lady Bears for a super season that is the envy of 95% of Tennessee! Our 4 Seniors have been a joy and pleasure to watch (been watching them since they were in second grade and classmates and teamates of my daughter) YOU have made a great fan of me, and I will be back for next year's edition - oh yes WC and Smyrna - MJAB will be back and bad!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Now, I see that WC lost to Smyrna (sorry about JC!) Congrats to all 4 District 9AAA teams as they did indeed sweep the floor with 10AAA! Mj played a great game against Henry County, and we now find ourselves back with the same draws as we had in the District Tourney.
