Congratulations Fulton Back2Back State Championships is very Impressive!
-
Fulton is 29-6. 4 losses to Austin-East and 2 losses to Bearden. The thing that those two teams did was PRESS, PRESS, PRESS. Fulton couldn't handle it and lost those games if BTW keeps up the defensive pressure they can tally loss number 7. BTW by 2 (Although I wouldn't mind Fulton winning it all, I just think BTW has the advantage)

Great Game by both teams! Good Luck to BTW! I don't care about who would've beat who if who was in you know who's district BOLOGNA! We played head to head in the State Quarterfinals they beat us fair and square we had our chance and it wasn't to be. TO BE THE BEST YOU GOTTA BEAT THE BEST! Thank for the Great Season Carter let's work hard and get back to Murfreesboro!
-
Let's just split the state 3 ways! Instead of 3 (public) State Champions we can have 9! Wouldn't that be exciting? NOT This was our first trip we played the best AA team from West TN (BTW) We played them tough and honestly had a chance during the game. I wouldn't change anything but the outcome LOL

Did anyone notice the public address announcers talking constantly during free throws? If you can't get it out before they shoot the ball, then SHUT UP.

I thought the goal of the Magnet School program was to keep the more affluent African American families in the school and recruit more of suburbia to the inner city. I guess we can see it STILL DON'T WORK!

Let the Mass Exodous from AE begin... They'll be ok, because at AE you are Always Eligible!

I saw SHHS plays twice this year. Once at Knox Central in the Wazoo tournament and I thought they looked pretty shaky but that was at Thanksgiving. Then I saw them ramp up the intensity against Leslie McDonald and Briarcrest in the Arby's Classic and I said you better watch out these boys might just make it to Murfreesboro! Here they are SHHS is good enough to sneak up on some folks! Better not over-look them Toppers! -
Hopefully we aren't just happy to be here! We are here let's make some noise lol
-
I think the stance of the T$$AA is that they don't recognize "State Rankings"

I can honestly say the conspiracy didn't exsist in AA. Both East Schools are playing the Memphis teams. Carter vs. BTW Fulton vs. Sheffield. But you gotta play somebody!

WOW I picked Red Bank on another thread and got beat up one side and down the other! I won't lie I only picked RB because I've been there before and that's it, didn't hav a clue what kind of team they had. That being said they must have a pretty good team! Congrats RB and Good Luck!

Carter had an 11 or 12 point lead late, weathered the three point enslaught and won 67-61! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> -

Can you say SOUR GRAPES! Carter boys played a great game with 2 of our starters under the weather, but they persevered and are now headed to Murfreesboro. About the 1 and done at the state you remember they said we couldn't beat Catholic, AE or Union County, but we did and we are going to the STATE TOURNAMENT! The UCHS students chanted some silly stuff too, but it's all part of the game! The crowd was electric, but the teams on the court made this game memorable!

Are they playing at the Topper Palace?

How would you like to be Cloudland and win the Region, but have to travel 3 1/2 hours to Rockwood because the Cloudland gym is too small. Following from the Knoxville News-Sentinel: Someone should take Paul Kamikawa to Las Vegas and bet what he bets. The Rockwood High School boys' basketball coach came upon a little luck last week. Despite losing to Grace Christian in the Region 2-A final on Thursday, Kamikawa learned that Rockwood won't have to travel for tonight's sectionals like the other region runners-up. The Tigers (23-6), instead, will play host to Region 1-A winner Cloudland (19-10) at 7 p.m. When Cloudland twice submitted information to the TSSAA last season that its gym met the TSSAA-mandated 1,000-seat minimum requirement to host postseason games, that information twice came into question. A TSSAA investigation found the gym to be "well under 1,000," according to association spokesman Matthew Gillespie. "With that, there was disciplinary action imposed upon them," said Gillespie. "They appealed to the board of control, and the disciplinary action was scaled down to apply just to the basketball program to where, for a two-year period, they cannot host any postseason tournament games." That began this season. Consequently, Rockwood won't have to bus 3 1/2 hours to Roan Mountain. "We can just stay on our normal routine," said Kamikawa. "It's hard to get to the state tournament when you're on the road. This is our sixth trip (to sectionals), and we've been on the road for four. And we've been unsuccessful on the road. The one time (2004) we were at home, we won. You can look at that stat and figure it out."
