Looking forward to what promises to be a Great night of Black Friday High School Football!2 teams with the same record, fighting for a chance to go to the State Championship game. This would be Huntingdon's first appearance in 10 years, and 5th overall; This would be Riverside's first appearance ever. Riverside wants this win BADLY, Huntingdon is starving for another GOLD ball to add to the collection. Which team will want it more Friday night ?? Huntingdon won last meeting in the regular season 33-7.( started 4th Quarter 12-7). My completely biased opinion - Huntingdon is firing on all cylinders right now. The Defense, which was the weakest part of the team early in the regular season has absolutely found its mojo. The addition of Aiden Hilliard has helped solidify this D- Line. Add that in comparison with Perez's injury for RIverside gives Huntingdon the advantage. I Honestly see this as a 7-10 point difference game. Best wishes to RIverside, I have several friends there and will be meeting up with several of them to discuss the big game directly before kickoff. The Guru's predicton: Huntingdon - 20 Riverside - 7

do not forget, Huntingdon went on a 27-7 run to win this game. The defense came up HUGE with a GOAL line stand that started 1st and goal from the 4 and could not punch it in after 4 plays... The Huntingdon defense did not get near as much credit for this game as they should have.

As a Huntingdon Mustang fan, If we are able to beat Union City this week, I truly dont want to see Riverside again.. I like our chances better against Lewis County. I think Riverside redeems their loss from their regular season matchup and we have a Semi-Final meeting between Huntingdon and Riverside for a chance to go the state Championship. Which fortunately will be played at Huntingdon if we are able to win!

Gonna be a COLD one Friday night. I do believe in the power of the 12th man! Our crowd will be out in full force as well as Union City I know will bring a good crowd. Expecting the atmosphere to be electric! High school football at its finest. Huntingdon can NOT be careless with the ball this week. 3 Fumbles against this team and you will be sittng in the bleachers on black friday instead of on the field. I honestly for some reason feel pretty good about our chances this week. If we can remain balanced like we were the 1st match up where our passing game stunned and hurt Union CIty's defense, I think we win by 14. Fair assessment.. after playing UC and Westview this year, I can say that for sure I think they are even. Westview couldnt stop our rushing attack, but we couldnt pass on them. Their pass game beat us for sure. UC ran all over us, but we threw all over UC and they contained our run this year better than any team has so far. My opinion and my opinion only.. UC wins round 2 of this match up by a single score. UC 27 Martin 21

For the entirety of last week, The potential game against Fairley made me nervous. Today I feel alot better about our success this week. I just dont see Fairley being able to stop our offense in the trenches. If we were unable to pass any, I would say we might be in a little trouble. Swenson's playbook this year might be as balanced as I have ever seen it. Expecting a huge game from Gray Eubanks and Ashton Hutcherson this week. Prediction: Huntingdon - 47 Fairley - 22

Mustangs should have no problem this week. Definitely can not take Mitchell for granted , as they have came in and pulled off the upset at Paul Ward Stadium In 2013 I do believe.... Lets just focus on this weeks game.. last weeks is over with and matters no more.. I dont think UC defensive front can go the distance with Huntingdon's continuous ground and pound attack. I am assuming the UC still runs the veer? If thats the case that does concern me somewhat.. I know that our rushing defense has actually been really strong this year, but historically we dont do well when UC fields a team that is as talented as this one against their veer. I still see the Mustangs winning the game and clinching the 2nd place finish in the district. Prediction: Huntingdon - 41 Union City - 28

after the BYE week following the loss to Westview, I am ready for another game! Huntingdon / Trenton - 2 historic programs who have so much respect for each other to grind it out under the Friday night lights! This year at Trenton! First off, I would like to go ahead and eat crow... I am not surprised that Huntingdon lost, I predicted a score of 27- 21 Huntingdon, but knew that could be reversed easily.. I would like to eat crow on the fact that I thought the big hit at the end of the game was illegal.... after watching the TIK-TOK video that was posted at another angle.. it is clear that i was WRONG.. what a big time , clean, perfectly timed hit by the Martin defender. I was not one of the ones to yell at the kids, but I did scream at the ref... I wish I could go back and tell that ref how truly right he was... I did not hear the racial slur, but will not deny the fact that it could have happened. -- thoughts on the game.. This game lived up to all expectations... This could be a re-match in the 3rd round which will now be at Martin as long as they handle business as I know they will. . GREAT ADJUSTMENTS by the Martin Offense... Huntingdon blitzed 2 LBS every play... how do you hurt that?? you throw quick passes, 1 slant in the middle which ran for a TD, and 2 SCREEN passes that were CRUCIAL 3 rd down plays! Credit to Huntingdon for not bowing out and continue to grind and stick with the plan to slowly tire out the Martin defense which they did.... What a district we have.. I dont think anyone can argue that the championship this year will be returning to the district again.. whether its Huntingdon, Martin, or Huntingdon.. I hope we get a rematch... what a game... good luck to the Chargers rest of the season.. now on to Trenton!

Fully expecting a full blown slobber- knocker.. HUGE stakes on the line.. Martin Wins, and they will clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They lose they more than likely will get 2nd place, with the loser of Huntingdon finishing at 3rd. Huntingdon win - sets up a championship game with UC on week 10 to close out the season. UC for the first time will need to root for a Huntingdon victory LOL. IMO I think the Huntingdon Defense holds strong and the Mustang Offense scores 4 touchdowns to win the game...
