district 14aaa--bolton the regular season winner gets automatic berth and the winner of cordova(undefeated) and munford( 1 lose) will be the two teams from 14aaa. tourney winner being the #1 seed and bolton being #2 seed. 15aaa-- houston is the undefeated team and in the region with germantown playing collierville at 4:00 today 5/9 to see who qualifies and getsa to play houston for the championship tonight. 16aaa craigmont and fairley will represent their district against district 15.

TBCA All-Region nominations are due May 1st, the associaction needs these forms in so we can chose the ALL-State teams correctly. on the tbca website you can find who the region coach is,that is charge of the all-region teams. parents help us out by reminding your hs baseball coach to send this info in.there is no sense in some deserving player being left out because we can't get these forms in.

seems like there is alot of complaining about having to come to memphis for the state tourney. what about the west tn. teams that have traveled for years? my teams have been lucky enough to get to go to the state 4 of the last 7 years and each year those kids had to miss graduation.it was also difficult having to play in chatt. 1 day and then having to go to cleveland and play the next and possibly go back to chatt. for a night game in the loser's bracket. nothing is perfect but i hope everyone that comes to this year's spring fling enjoys it.

i saw the houston and bart. game from up close(ha) but houston is really good, as of today i believe with pomernanz on the mound they are relly hard to beat. it will be tough for everyone in the west this year, alot of good teams and everyone seems to have 1 really good pitcher so on any given day who knows

congrats to coach george for that amount of wins and also to coach ritz for 700, hard to believe 1 coach has that many wins. we are very fortunate to these gentleman coaching kids in our state

houston beat riverdale 2-0 and germantown won. go to gomemphis.com and look under prep sports and there is a good article about the 2 games. today hoston will play pensacola catholic and g'town will play miami palmetto in the semi-finals.good luck to both teams and hopefully that they will meet in the finals and show the strength of tn. baseball and memphis baseball.

Houston--Mon.-beat Jack. northside tues.- beat munford wed-beat E.C.S. thur-beat hunters lane fri.- beat oak ridge sat- lost to cordova I don't know if anyone in the state played a tougher schedule. coach McCarter is not scared to play a tough schedule and if you do sometimes you are going to lose.My hat is off to Houston for a great start.

I don't know if I can rank anyone yet, i know that Houston, Munford, Germantown,Cordova, Covington, Collierville have looked really good when I saw them play.Everyone was playing each other tough last week in the Lewis Harris Memorial tourney.

houston h.s. beat munford on sunday and bartlett on monday, i don't know the munford score but the bartlett score was 7-3.

everyone is complaining about the travel to memphis but what about the memphis area teams that have had to travel chatt. every year? it has been tough on the west tn. teams with travel for along time.

the red devils are playing hunters lane, beech, oak ridge, covington and cordova.pretty tough line-up for this week also. they are going to be really good this season.

instead of the region champions going the state tourney, the tssaa is doing the play-offs just like softball. if you win on monday and lose in the region championship on wed., you have to go on the road in the sub-state, if you win in this game , you are in the spring fling . bad decision by the tssaa because 1 pitcher can win for you on monday and friday but when a team gets to the state tourney they will need a pitching staff.
